I am absolutely satisfied with this college and it is worth the money I paid as fees.

Placements: About 80% of students got placed in top companies. The highest salary offered in our course is 13 Lacs per annum, with an average package of 5.5 to 6 Lacs per annum and a lowest package of 4 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Caterpillar, JSW, Infosys, Cisco, and UNO Minds.

Infrastructure: There are several facilities available for my department and have good labs with air conditioning, a desktop, a large library, etc. available for the students for their knowledge. In addition to the hostel, the food quality is not bad, and there is a small clinic available if there are any medical issues.

Faculty: The teachings of a professor are good. They are well qualified in their profession, and they have several years of experience in their fields also. Coming to the semester exam, the examination should be moderate. They follow the Bloom taxonomy method that aids students to think and be able to answer.

Review of PSG College of Technology - PSGCT.

Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed. Some students did not opt for placements, but some did not appear for the same. The highest salary package offered in our course was 9 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 4.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.85 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Caterpillar, Vedanta Limited, Varooc Limited, JSW Bellari and TVS Chennai visit our campus for placements. Top roles, like an executive officer and R&D, are offered to the students. About 60% of students got an internship in companies like IITM, IISc Bangalore, TVS Chennai, Robert Bosch and Kennametal.

Infrastructure: In our labs, we have all the NDT equipment, XRD, high-resolution, SEM and TEM, crushers, etc. It has a very good library and spacious classrooms with OHP and projectors. The hostel is very good compared to other hostels. Engineering colleges are located in remote locations or outer cities, but our college is in the main area. It provides 24x7 bus facilities. It easy to have food and to travel. Quality of food served is good. They offer non-vegetarian food 3 days per week. There are no restrictions in the hostel. It is in top 3 colleges in Tamil Nadu. An ambulance is always available, and PSG medical is near the college. So there are no worries for medical emergencies. They are excelled in handball. They give much attention to all sports.

Faculty: Almost 90% of the faculty members are doctorates. They have around 10-15 years of experience. The new faculty members were talented. Their teaching quality is good, but now a little degraded. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is a very interesting course. Other than this, they offer additional electives and language courses which are helpful.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like metals and their processing. In each subject, I understood new concepts. I am completely engaged in this course. My favourite is steel production and NDT. I wish the college should conduct an industrial visit at least 2 per year. More symposiums should be conducted. WOOTZ is one of the major events for metallurgy students and even for other departments. Intrams is one of the best cultural programme conducted every year at our college, and we can rock in it. Campus surroundings are very good. It offers good scholarships based on toppers, annual income, random, caste, etc.

I am satisfied because of good facilities.

Placements: Around 80% of the students get placed from our campus. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Qualcomm, Intel, Amazon, Cisco and Caterpillar. Roles offered were as an associate engineer and software developer. The highest salary offered in our course was Rs. 80,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month. The average salary of Rs. 40,000 per month is offered in our course. Almost all students who got placed got an internship.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in some places. The library is good. Departmental libraries are present, and one library is also available in common. The classrooms are also good. For Wi-Fi, one must fill a particular form, and only those who have the form will be given access. I am a day scholar, but I heard that the food was moderate. The sports facilities were good. There are two canteens apart from the hostel mess. The mess food is moderate, whereas the college canteen food is good.

Faculty: The teachers in our college were helpful. They help us anytime whenever we go to them to clarify our doubts. Most of the teachers were experienced, and it helped us to gain a lot of knowledge from them. The course curriculum is relevant, and it has many practical subjects that are relevant to the industry.

Other: I was interested in communications. So I preferred ECE. Since the demand is more for software, I wish a few more programming courses should be added as electives. There are various activities conducted by various clubs, associations, students union regularly.

It is a good college comparing to other colleges.

Placements: Students who got 8 CGPA easily got placed. The highest salary offered is 1.5 lacs per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Core companies visited the campus to hire students. The top role offered is an inspection. The highest salary offered in our course is Rs. 80,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. All student based on the companies has chosen their internship.

Infrastructure: Labs are very good, and all the equipment is available. Most of the high-cost types of equipment are available. Classrooms are good with neat infrastructure and projector is available in all classes. Hostel infrastructure is good. Food is also good comparing to other colleges.

Faculty: Teachers have good knowledge in their field. Teaching quality is good, and practical teaching also available. PPT presentations are also good. The course curriculum is awesome and very informative as well as the provision of money at the time when it is required to be a good person.

Other: I have chosen this course because my friend referred to me about this. Placement should be improved. Connectivity is good, and we can interact with others. Sports facilities are very good, and government scholarships are available. Events are organised.

It is good to study in PSG.

Placements: In PSG, the placements for the metallurgical engineering department are so poor that most of the students are pulled into the IT companies rather than the core companies. Students of other departments like CSE are able to get more placements in IT companies like Infosys, TCS etc. There are only a few core companies visiting the campus for placements. Caterpillar and other core companies visit the campus, and you should have the great technical knowledge to get placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of PSG is very good as the climate in Coimbatore is very good. Especially, the hostel environment is very good.

Faculty: Faculty members of the metallurgical engineering department are very good. The senior staffs of our department are highly knowledgeable, and the other staffs have high knowledge about the technical areas, so it is very useful for students.

Other: For the metallurgical engineering department, we have a special event called Wootz.

A very good college with moderate teaching.

Placements: 70% of the seniors for placed in the campus interviews. Also arrangements have been made to get into off campuses. We have got trainee recruitment from BOSCH and TVS. The highest salary offered is 5.75L per annum and the lowest is 1.5L per annum. Bosch, Sterlite, Accenture, CTS were the companies visited the campus.

Infrastructure: We have no Wi-Fi facility and they're telling us to wait. In sports, they are maintain the ground well. Library is a good. Most of the lab equipments are old and not in working condition. So we only do written test in Lab Examinations. Hostellers say that the food is not good. Construction work disturbs the class.

Faculty: Many of the teachers were experienced and old. They have good knowledge, but poor English speaking skill. So we are struggling to understand the subjects. But they all help even outside the class in getting internships. The ratio is 76:12 including all subjects.

PSG College of Technology is the heaven in the Coimbatore.

Placements: The placements of PSG College of Technology are far superior to any other college in the city. In spite of being a rare course in Tamil Nadu, there is a lot of placements offer for the department of metallurgical engineering. Some of the top companies like JSW, BHEL. etc., visit our college for placements. The average placements for past few years have been greater than 85%. Some of the students were also offered interns in the companies like BOSCH, TITAN, TVS, Clayton. The placement cell of our college carries out its role effectively and ensures maximum placement for the students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good even though the college building is very old, dating back to almost 50-60 years. Almost, all the labs are equipped with modern and state of the art technologies. The famous GRD Memorial Library is one of the biggest libraries for colleges in South India. All the classrooms are well-ventilated and provided with appropriate screens and boards. The food in the canteen is not good, but it's still quite good. The hostels have been divided into several blocks according to the student's needs, and there is a guest house for the accommodation of outsiders as well as for guests. The only drawback with the hostel is the food, which isn't good barring a few days in the week.

Faculty: Almost all the teachers/lab assistants are well-versed and knowledgeable in their field of tutoring. Some of the senior staffs are renowned throughout the country and have even written books in their field of work. The faculty also have good contact with outside industries which helps in arranging industrial visits/implant training for the students. There are about 20 professors along with a minimum of 7-8 lab assistants for each department of study. With the newly updated curriculum from the 2015 batch, the syllabus has taken a step towards the future direction.

Other: The college staff emphasise the equal importance of academic as well as extracurricular activities and also sports. There are both technical and non-technical events taking place almost every week. The college also provides scholarships for the worthy candidates as well as the needy ones. There is also no sign off ragging on the college campus. Strict rules have been enforced against ragging.

Really a great college to study, pursue and get placed from.

Placements: The placements were good for both the batches there where many companies visiting the campus on a daily basis. Nearly 89% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered was around 10 lakhs and the lowest was 2 lakhs. There were many MNCs and startups visiting the campus the big companies where L&T, Tata Steel and many other companies, The roles offered to students were junior and senior engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was really good and the college has Wi-Fi surrounded all over. The library was kind of good with many books and information materials available for reference. There are many games inside the college and the college has a cricket ground. The lab quality is excellent and clean always and classrooms are well-designed for the students. the food available in the canteen is average. The hostel rooms are kind of big in size. There is no infrastructure problem in the college for those 4 years.

Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful in any situation by clarifying the doubts, are qualified enough and knowledgeable on subject matters. The teaching method was more practical rather than being a theory type. 8:2 is the student-faculty ratio. There was a lot of industry exposure in college as we went to many industries and learnt their operations and performace. The course curriculum was very useful for me.

Other: It is one of the best colleges in Tamil Nadu to pursue a B.E degree and a well-maintained college with good campus placements. The college is one of the best colleges in Coimbatore and surrounded by green trees, which makes everything easy. It has the best table tennis court and the hostel is well-maintained.
