Painful review of RKGIT Ghaziabad.
Placements: The placement of our college is about 70 to 75 percent. The college focuses more on earning money than the quality of students. The highest package offered is 11 to 12 LPA, the average package is 2 to 4 LPA, and the lowest package is 1 to 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Ultratech Cement, RNF Technologies, Motherson Technology, Commvault, BSNL, NTPC, LG Electronics, Moser Baer, HCL, Ordinance Factory, DRDO, Spine, Honda Siel Cars Ltd., Vodafone Mobile Services Ltd., Intex Technology Pvt. Ltd., Hyundai Motors India Ltd., ProAscend, Talent Serve, DevIT Serve, KPMG, and others. Around 80 to 85 percent of students in B.Tech get internships, mostly in Talent Serve. The top role offered in B.Tech is Software Developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are average. Every classroom has two split ACs and a smart board with about 24 benches. The library does not have the latest books, they give old books from 2011–2012. Labs are average. The computer labs do not have the latest Windows 11, they are very slow and have bugs. The internet is slow in the lab. Electrical and Chemistry labs are good, and all components are available. Hostel rooms are small. The canteen and mess are very dirty and not hygienic. The food is expensive in the canteen. Medical facilities are good, and various games and sports are available.
Faculty: Teachers are good and very helpful to us. They have higher qualifications and good knowledge. They can make students industry-ready if the syllabus is the latest, but the syllabus is very old, which doesn't make sense in this era of tech and AI. The semester exams are not very difficult you can easily crack them if you study. The passing mark is 21 for each subject.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE (AIML) because the trend of AI is increasing day by day, so it helps me understand and get internships easily. Events and fests are very less and average in the college. The crowd is very large. There are 1,283 students in B.Tech this year (2024–25). The scholarship is good and is given by the college.

Inside Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology.
Placements: I have opted for the CSE-AIML course for B.Tech. There are approximately a total of 1500 students opted for B.Tech which also includes girls. The top recruiter is TCS which recruits students in bulk every year then we have Wipro followed by other major companies. The highest package was taken by our senior last year which was 34 LPA, the lowest salary that is offered is 3 LPA, and the average salary is 5 LPA to 7 LPA. The top roles offered to CSE AIML students are data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities here are average and the infrastructure here is top-notch. There are 2 big libraries one for students of B. Tech and the other one for all the students from other courses. Wi-Fi is available across the campus and classrooms are equipped with smartboards, AC, etc. Labs are equipped with all the necessary equipment. The quality of mess food is below average. There is a medical facility in college but they will not be able to cope in emergencies. There are different fields to play like football, basketball, cricket, and volleyball.
Faculty: Teachers here are polite and helpful. Teachers here are available late at night at exam times. Teachers are qualified here holding Ph.D. and master's degrees in their respective subjects. Course curriculum here is relevant as it helps students to better understand their course but the course curriculum doesn't make students industry-ready. I think that it can be easily improved. Semester exams here somewhat is hard but are doable. Pass percentage is 70% with approximately 20% to 30 % failing.
Other: In the past few years, the need for engineering students has skyrocketed mostly in the computer science field that's why I have opted for this course over the others. The improvement college can make could be improving the internship facilities students have to apply themselves to apply for internships. The surroundings of college are very bad. Campus is okay, the crowd is good, and fest and events happen regularly. A scholarship facility is provided and extracurricular activities are conducted.

Honest review of Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of students get placed in campus placements. The highest package offered was 36 LPA, the lowest maybe 2-2.5 LPA, but the average package is 3.5-4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Top roles offered are Software Engineer or Senior Engineer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my department is not available because the building is progressing. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel. Labs are available in every department with proper Wi-Fi connection and air conditioning. Classroom infrastructure is decent. Hostel infrastructure is average, and the facilities are quite good. The quality of food is not good; the food quality is bad. Medical and sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Few of the teachers are very helpful, but a few of them have very rude natures. The teachers are majorly Ph.D. holders, so their teaching is knowledgeable. The syllabus is still very old according to the new curriculum, and it doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy, but the checking of exams is very strict. Most of the students get backlogs for no reason. The university is making money from backlogs. The passing percentage is 33 percent.
Other: I chose this course because it's in trend, which is AI/ML. The best thing about the course is its alignment with new industrial needs. Improvement should be made in industrial visits. Events are good and enjoyable in college. The crowd of the college is not very good because most of them are local. The campus surroundings are in an industrial area. Extracurricular activities are like sports and robotics events.

Best place to learn and experience.
Placements: Currently, I am pursuing the course and many companies approach for placements. A decent amount of placement packages are there. The highest was 10 Lakhs and the average is 6-7 Lakhs offered in the placements, but I have seen an increase in packages with time.
Infrastructure: It has a decent infrastructure. All classes have AC, laboratories for practicals with proper equipment and faculty. Usage of LED screens in classes to make the understanding clear (using PPTs and software). The hostels are value for money according to need. 2-3 options are there.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful here. Besides the academics, they help with personal matters. Every faculty has a good command of their subject and they are very knowledgeable. This course will make the student ready for the industry as they get to know the new technology.

RKGIT is a nice college for Engineering.
Placements: There is a 70-75% placement rate in the Computer Science department. Every year, many new and reputed companies come here for recruitment. Faculty members regularly inform us about various internships by sending emails. Many of us secure good internships in the third year itself.
Infrastructure: All labs are well-maintained and updated. Both girls and boys enjoy freedom in our lab for studying and practicing without any issues. The gender ratio is 60 boys to 40 girls. We often participate in cricket competitions and have won twice, though we have also lost twice.
Faculty: We assess our faculty based on their knowledge of their respective subjects and their ability to solve our doubts promptly. Teachers have a deep understanding of the courses they teach and show full interest in teaching. Time to time, we have many class tests and assignments through which we learn many things. Teachers' quality includes delivering content clearly and with ease of understanding. The courses taught in the institute contain very knowledgeable content that is useful for our future. Many workshops based on new technology are conducted for students. The syllabus is updated daily based on current technology and computers.

RKgit is a better college than KIET in terms of placement.
Placements: The placement of the college is good for CS, IT, and EC branches. This year, the highest placement was 34 LPA, which is comparatively lower than average. I had interned last year in HAL. Amethi college also provides internship opportunities to students who do not seek outside.
Infrastructure: Campus life is good. There is an average ratio of 3:1 for boys and girls. Students belong to different regions and backgrounds. Extracurricular activities are good, and many students are active in them. Sports are very popular among students; competitions like robotics and debates take place. Yes, I opted for the hostel. It includes a few single-seaters, many double-seaters, and triple-seaters (only for first-year students). The room is big enough for the accommodation of 2 people, providing one table and one B.Ed almirah to each candidate. The room is facilitated with lights and fans (one per person). Unusually, hostel rent or PG rent is approximately the same. PG costs lower than a hostel. The hostel provides food facilities, which are not too appropriate, and gives security to students.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is highly qualified and has good teaching skills. They complete their syllabus on time, give assignments, and take class tests at regular intervals. The faculty is very supportive to students and guides them in the right direction for a career. The course curriculum is fair enough but not much updated to recent trends. Sometimes, certain subjects do not seem to be worth it. Besides that, the course curriculum and exam structure are good and provide knowledge to an extent. I think the course structure is not appropriate for research purposes. Exams and labs are good and teach practical implementation, which is quite interesting.

Not a good college for the CSE Department.
Placements: Placements are pretty good here. The average package is around 4-5 lacs for freshers, with the highest being 34 LPA by Commvault. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture, and Cognizant come for college placements. The placement cell ensures that all the students are placed.
Infrastructure: The college has well-equipped classrooms with comfortable seating and labs for practical experience and the campus is spacious with lush greenery and a well-maintained rail library with a vast range of books, journals and other academic resources like AC in every class and lab.
Faculty: The teachers know less than the students do. Teachers have no practical knowledge. Many of the teachers have not done their post-graduation. I doubt if they get fired from RKGIT, would they ever get a job at any college. Sometimes the dean and director take feedback from teachers and just do the formalities.
Other: The professors are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. I also found that the coursework was very hands-on, with a lot of opportunities for problem-solving and critical thinking. The curriculum is up-to-date and relevant to the current industry standards.

Good college for the CSE Department.
Placements: Students become eligible for placement in 5 semesters. Paytm, Infosys, and HCL are these companies that visited our college, and the highest package they recently offered was 36 LPA. 50% is enough for students to sit in placements. My plans are to explore my field more, which is IOT and get better projects in the IOT field.
Infrastructure: Our college provides almost every facility in our course or department, like well-hygienic labs, classrooms, a well-maintained library and more. The college infrastructure is good; they provide all the facilities and equipment. For the 1st year students, there is smart lighting and boards available in the classroom. The library, sports centre and hostel for separate girls and boys are there. The living space is clean and people can find a good environment over there.
Faculty: Currently, I'm a 2nd-year student and talking about the 1st-year experience, it was good. The faculty-to-student ratio is good, with around 60 students in every class. The faculty is also very supportive and provides extra classes for weak students. And for the second year, the ratio is the same: teachers are good, highly qualified and responsible I have chosen this course as I have an interest in AIML field. The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course include its focus on practical applications, industry-relevant projects and opportunities for hands-on experience.
