CAT is a computer based test which is conducted in three shifts. The CAT is conducted for two hours in which candidates have to solve 68 questions. These 68 questions are divided into three sections Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension VARC Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning DILR and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). The VARC section has 24 questions, the DILR section has 28 questions and QA section has 22 question. Each question carries 3 marks for correct entry and -1 for incorrect entry. There is no negative marking for unanswered question. A unique aspect of CAT is the sectional time limit. Each section has a time limit of 40 minutes (53.20 minutes for PwD candidates). Candidates have to complete the section within the time limit as the moment the onscreen timer shows 0 minutes left, the screen will automatically move to the next section. There is no option to go back to older questions. Also, candidates have to follow the question paper chronology. They have to first solve the VARC section, then the DILR section and then the QA section.

Candidates need the following documents while filling the CAT application form: A recent passport size photo (color against white background) Scanned signature with black pen on white paper Any photo ID card like PAN card, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport Class 10 marksheet Class 12 marksheet Graduation marksheet Permanent address proof Work experience documents Reserved category students need to upload Category Certificate along with the CAT application form. The Certificate is available on the CAT website. Candidates can download, fill it, get it attested by competent authority and upload it as PDF with the CAT application form. The PwD category students also have to fill the PwD form and Scribe affidavit along with the exam application form. This is necessary for getting scribe facility and PwD facility at the test centre. The CAT application form is same for students from all categories. Those belonging to a particular category (SC/ST/PwD) will be required to mention it in the relevant field of the CAT form.

MBA at RGIPT is offered in three different specialisation namely, MBA, MBA BA and, MBA Energy Transition Management. Candidates shall be currently working as a regular employee in any industry at a minimum level of Assistant Manager or equivalent.
Government functionaries (bureaucrats and policymakers) at a minimum pay matrix level 10 of 7th CPC or equivalent

Candidates must have also studied Mathematics in Class 10

RGIPT MBA course admission 2025 for the MBA core and MBA Business Analytics programme is both merit and entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to the programmes must fill out the application form, appear for an entrance examination and Personal Interview and finally pay the admission fees. Given below is the detailed RGIPT MBA admission process:

STEP 1: RGIPT MBA Application Process 2025

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA or MBA BA programme must fill out the online application form available on the RGIPT website. Candidates seeking admission through the CAT exam must also fill out the CAT registration form. In the online application form, candidates must provide their personal phone number and email ID for registration. The final step of the application process is to pay the non-refundable RGIPT MBA application fees of INR 400 (INR 200 for SC/ ST category candidates) in the online mode.

STEP 2: RGIPT MBA Selection Criteria 2025

Candidates must then appear for the CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ MAT. Following the appearance in the entrance examination, the selected candidates are called to appear for the online PI process as per the specified timeline of the institute.

I am absolutely satisfied with the college.

Placements: Major recruiters are GAIL, IOCL, Reliance (jio-bp), ICICI prudential, SBI General life insurance, IRM energy, Indian oil adani gas PVT LTD, Torrent gas, etc. These companies also offer internships. Major roles offered are management trainee, BDA, analyst, etc. The minimum salary package offered is 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is better at this fees. Classes are equipped with air-conditioners, projectors, and smart podiums. Mess food is also very good and provides a wide variety of cuisines. Indoor and outdoor games are available.

Faculty: Teachers are very kind and helpful. The teaching quality is very good. The course covered proves handy in competitive exams like NET etc. The course content is relevant and is designed according to the industry needs. Several industrial experts teach the students as visiting faculty, which makes students industry-ready.

Our college is good with 100% ROI.

Placements: Around 90 to 100% placements are provided. The highest salary package is around 20 LPA and the average salary package is 6-7 LPA. IOCL, Torrent, Reliance, Adani, and TCS are the recruiting companies. Internship assistance is provided by the placement cell. Roles are generally inclined towards oil and gas like Management trainee, oil and gas analyst.

Infrastructure: College has the best infrastructure compared to IIT or NIT. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, canteen, hostel, student activity center everything is newly constructed. Pool table, basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, TT table, Gym, everything is present in the hostel.

Faculty: Faculty members are the best in their area. Few of them are highly qualified and respectable with lots of industry and academic experience. Faculty members are average with few exceptional teachers. Exams are on time according to the annual calendar. Moderate level of difficulty is the level of exams.

Other: Campus is in a rural area so you don't find anything outside the campus. Raebareli 20 km and well-connected transport. So many fests and events keep you busy inside the campus. MBA course is decent.
