IIT Bombay MBA duration of two years is spread across eight terms. The institute offers an MBA through the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM). The IIT Bombay MBA course is spread across eight terms. The selection of the candidates for MBA admission will be carried out in two phases. Selection is based on CAT score, academic performance and work experience.

Eligibility:
- Candidates need to pass a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) out of 10 or applicants appearing for the final year of a degree or completed the degree and awaiting result can also apply or,
- Applicants appearing for the final year of the degree and those who have completed the degree requirements and awaiting results can also apply. The applicant should have secured an aggregate of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) or equivalent till the latest exam that has been completed and whose scores are available or,
- CA, CS, CFA, ICWA or FRM, with a first-class bachelor’s degree in any discipline having secured 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) in aggregate (including all years /semesters) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) out of 10 can also apply for MBA programme.

Admission to the institute after Class 12 is open for BTech, BS and BDes courses. After completing Class 12, candidates must qualify JEE Main, JEE Advanced followed by the JoSAA Counselling for BTech and BS courses. For BDes, UCEED score is required for admission.
IIT Bombay admission to all the courses is entrance-based (Except for EMBA, where admission is merit-based and performance in the interview round). BTech and BTech (Dual Degree) aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in).
Entrance Exams
Candidates need to first qualify JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Aspirants qualifying both the entrance-exams are required to register for Counselling.

IIT Bombay MBA is a two-year course spread across eight terms. In the first year, students acquire knowledge on all the disciplines of management through 23 rigorous courses. All the academic courses need case studies, course projects and research by students, which provide exposure to the latest practices in the Industry. Students have the option of doing a one-month winter project at the end of first two terms.
The rigor of the academics in the first year culminates in the summer project at the end of the first year of the course. The two-month project done after the completion of all the foundational courses on Management, offers the student a chance to learn management practices through live projects in the industry.
