B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2028

Value for money college.
Placements: 5 to 10 percent of students get placed from this course. 75 students only 4 to 8 students get placed in Electrical engineering. Korean students get placed in Computer Science engineering. The highest package for Electrical Engineering last year is 5LPA and the lowest package offered is around 2LPA. Main company that recruiters from our college are from is Sobha Construction in EEE. 10 to 20 percent of students get internship on campus. Top courses offered are Control System Engineering and Power System Engineering.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good for a government college. Every department has a Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms look old. Benches are old. Library is good. Contains many books and can be taken whenever required. The facilities in the hostel are also good. Only 3000 per month and it has good food. It has volleyball court and a table tennis court.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are qualified and have knowledge of they are teaching. I think the course curriculum is also relevant especially the new scheme 2024 scheme. The question papers are prepared by KTU Kerala Technical University. The semester exams are moderate. Pass percentage is 70 percent.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028

Overall, the college is good in my opinion, we will get an enjoyable college life and freedom.
Placements: I am a second-year B.Tech student at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. In my college, about 7 to 8 per cent of seniors were placed last year in the mechanical engineering department. Here, there are more placements than in the electrical department.
Infrastructure: In the mechanical engineering department, the lab has fewer working systems. Compared to Computer Science, we have poor lab facilities. The library is good, we have a good department library, and all the books are available there. Hostel food is good for this rate, all other facilities are good, like medical facilities, games, sports, etc.
Faculty: Talking about the faculty, my personal opinion is that we have the best faculty in Kerala after the CET Trivandrum. 2024 scheme is good because it comes with a lot of projects for students to do. The pass percentage of our class is about 93.7%. It's a good course.
Other: Talking about the events in college, I have no words. We have the best events like Ritu, Aaravam, Keli, etc.

It has better faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: The college has an above-average placement in the electrical engineering department. Only a few companies visit the college for placements, where students mostly do internships in KSEB. Students join companies mostly in the electronics field itself. Students must search for placements and internships.
Infrastructure: The college has full Wi-Fi coverage over the entire campus. The classrooms have smart-boards, and the department has departmental libraries and a computer lab apart from the common library. The department has electrical labs. The college hostel has a limited capacity, so students have to join private hostels outside. The hostel selection criteria prioritise distance from college and income. The college hostel has a good food menu. The college canteen has affordable food. The college has multiple facilities for different sports and has a college gym.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, and they are good resource persons. Their teaching is good, but students have to refer and learn for themselves a lot. The course curriculum is mostly relevant to the current industry. For a high industry exposure, one should work themselves apart from the curriculum. College exams are moderately hard.
Other: The campus life is superb, and students have a lot of activities to participate in and enjoy the vibe of the college. The college conducts a lot of fests like Keli, Ritu, etc. The college has an active NSS unit. All scholarships can be availed for this course, which is applicable to B.Tech courses.

Average placements and good faculty members.
Placements: The college have an average placements right now. Students can find placements outside campus. Companies like KSEB visit college for placements and also provide internships. Students have to reach out to companies themselves for internships most often.2024 KTU Scheme allocates internship period on 4th year.
Infrastructure: The electrical department has dedicated faculty members and good infrastructure. The department has a department library apart from the common library. Campus Wi-Fi is available in the college. Infrastructure includes laboratories for circuit debugging, circuit building, etc. The college has a limited hostel capacity, permitting entry through an analysis of income level and distance from the college. The canteen and cafeteria provide affordable food. The college has good sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers have a good knowledge of their fields and are helpful resource persons. Teaching doesn't include spoon feeding, so students have to refer and study. The course has included many relevant topics for industries out there, but one has to keep improving oneself through participating in ISET, IEEE, etc. (Clubs). College exams are moderately challenging.
Other: Through Electrical Engineering, we can develop essential skills necessary for the era of electric vehicles and sustainability. Rather than merely following the curriculum, one has to explore other industry-relevant topics and master them. The campus is so lively and has fests like RITU, KELI, ARAVAM, etc. The campus is situated over a vast area. All government and private scholarships can be availed for this course.

It's okay and maybe a good college.
Placements: Based on your CGPA and resume, you can get good campus placements as well as off-campus placements. I think the highest pack is 15 LPA or a bit above. There are many recruiting companies, private and government included. Many got internships during the sem break in many companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Okayish classrooms. The library is good, there are also department libraries for each department, and each department has its own building. The canteen and mess food is good as well, and is available in sports and games. The medical facilities are okayish, but there are hospitals and clinics very near the college.
Faculty: Most teachers and staff are helpful. The course is curriculum-relevant, and it does make the students industry-ready if you put in the effort too. Sem exams are average. It has a good pass percentage. The teaching quality is also okayish. You just have to put a lot of effort.
Other: I chose this based on my interests only. A more practical and a bit helpful syllabus should be exchanged and added. The events, campus, and scholarship are very nice. The scholarships offered are various. Also good at extracurricular activities.

Faculty is good but placements in some courses are low. College has good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement is low in the college. Core companies don't visit often for placements. Branches like mechanical engineering have least placement while computer science has the highest. Students can attend internships and later join companies.
Infrastructure: College has a good infrastructure and includes labs, workshops, library, etc. Campus Wi-Fi is provided for student usage. Classrooms have digital board for teaching. College have limited hostel capacity so first year students are less likely to get into college hostel so they have to stay in private hostels. The hostel food is good. College provides sports facilities including different sports courts and gymnasium.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in bringing up a good engineering career. Teachers often give short lectures, and students have to refer to studying it in depth. The new scheme of KTU i.e., 2024 scheme is relevant to the current industries but students have to keep up with industry developments through clubs like IEEE, ISTE, etc.
Other: Mechanical engineering department is versatile enough to deviate into many fields. College curriculum can provide more exposure, which could be helpful. The college life is so active and often has fests like RITU, KELI, etc. College have active NSS units. Government scholarships and some private scholarships could be availed for this course. Campus is green and the vibe.
