GATE Result 2026 Date: IIT Guwahati is the organising body for the GATE 2026 exam. The conducting body is responsible for holding the exam, releasing the answer key and declaring the results. While the exam has yet to conclude, candidates can check the GATE 2026 result date. The authority has set the GATE result date 2026 as March 19, 2026. GATE 2026 Result Date

As per the current schedule, the GATE 2026 result will be declared on March 19, 2026. Initially, candidates can check their results for the marks, their subject cutoff and qualifying status. Later, the authorities will release the GATE scorecard 2026.

GATE 2026 Scorecard Release Date

Candidates can download their scorecards from March 27 to May 31, 2026, without paying any charges. After this period, a fee of Rs 500 is applicable to download the scorecard for each paper until December 31, 2026. The GATE scorecard has a validity of 3 years.

GATE 2026 Qualifying Marks and Cutoff

The GATE 2026 cutoff marks will be released along with or after the result declaration. The cutoff varies based on:

  • Paper difficulty level
  • Number of candidates appearing
  • Category (General, OBC, SC, ST, PwD)

Aspirants must take note that qualifying GATE does not guarantee admission, but it makes candidates eligible to participate in counselling and admission processes conducted by IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other institutes. No, GATE is not a mandatory entrance exam for all PhD admissions at NIT Jalandhar. Candidates who are qualified for direct admissions at NIT Jalandhar's Engineering PhD courses are require to clear it during ME/MTech admissions.

No, GATE is not a mandatory entrance exam for securing admissions at IIIT Bhubaneshwar. Candidates who fail to secure a GATE scorecard can still appear for the IIIT Bhubaneshwar M.Tech entrance exam which includes a written test. The syllabus of this written test is the same as the GATE.

In GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) official answer key, MTA stands for Marks to All.

"Marks to All"  states that the marks allotted to that question will be given to all candidates who attempted that particular test paper.
