Review of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management.
Placements: In our college, placements were very good only for the CS and IT branches. The rest of the core branches' placement records were not so good. The highest salary package offered for the civil engineering branch was 8 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA. In the CS and IT branches, the highest salary packages offered were 20 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the civil engineering department was too old. None of the classes had been converted to e-classrooms and all the lab instruments were outdated. The hostel facilities of the college were very good. Rooms were given as double occupancy. Mess food was excellent and a variety of dishes were available per week.
Faculty: Our teachers were highly qualified because the college only allows Ph.D. holding faculty members to teach. The curriculum was outdated. Old techniques of construction were taught. The difficulty level of unit tests and semester exams was average. The passing percentage was good but you need to study the whole year. Unit tests were taken every month.
Other: The college organised different events like CESA and PRATI. A freshers party and a farewell were given to all students. The college should have an updated course curriculum as per the market trend. Everything was good.

Absolutely satisfied with the infrastructure, faculty members and the facilities available.
Placements: I am currently pursuing the course, so I do not have the data on placements yet. Top recruiters are TCS, Larsen and Toubro, V Construction etc. Most of the students are placed every year, and almost everyone is offered internships too. Placements in our college are top-notch.
Infrastructure: Every department has its own separate department. Every department has classrooms, laboratories, staff offices and washrooms. The college has very good facilities for all the sports too. The hostel is up to the mark too. The food is of great quality and taste.
Faculty: The teachers and management are really helpful. If there is any problem, the teachers and system are always ready to help the students and come up with a solution. Semester exams are really tough to crack. One must be dedicated to their studies to pass the exams.

It is a good college that develops the potential of an individual.
Placements: About 25% of students were placed in civil engineering. The average salary package was 3.5 LPA. Students faced a lot of issues during the pandemic, but finally, the college placement cell managed to do well.
Infrastructure: The college has a very posh infrastructure. All the different departments are very adorable. There is a huge parking space, and the college also has a good hostel facility. There is a good canteen available on the premises. Separate hostel facilities are provided for boys and girls on the college campus. It has adequate security and good discipline. Each room has an attached bathroom. The students who are not staying with their parents shall reside in the college hostel as per college rules. The canteen of the college provides food in the hostel also. Access to information is a vital key to developing an individual's potential. RGIT has provided a central library consisting of more than 10,000 volumes of books and an adequate number of journals. All the latest editions of books, both for reference and text, are available in this library. It also subscribes to various newspapers and periodicals for information and updates on its knowledge. The journals, both national and international, related to all engineering subjects are also subscribed. The interventions of information technology have filled a great gap in the case of library automation services. The library is computerised with all the features of a library management system. The library also maintains e-books for students, and it has a digital library facility for all students with an internet connection. The library is spread over 6000 sq. ft. and has a seating capacity of 250 students in its reading sections. The librarian has 9 years of experience in academic and special libraries.
Faculty: Exams are a bit hard, but as it's an autonomous college, it manages to be passed. Faculty members of the college are very good, and all the faculty members are M.Tech in their subjects from good IITs and NITs. All the staff members are caring. All teachers work full-time, and students are given attention to their studies. The excellent results in the university examination are due to dedicated, constant effort by the staff. The teaching aids used by the staff are modern and help the students learn the subject thoroughly. Parent-teacher meetings are held periodically after each internal test, and the performance of students is furnished to the parents directly.
Other: There are a large number of fests and events which improve the overall development of students. This college has excellent faculty members with highly qualified and well-experienced staff. The teacher-student ratio is maintained at 1:10. The college has excellent infrastructure and accessibility from various parts of the city. The college is situated in the heart of the city. Apart from being the Garden City, Bangalore is now the natural choice and preferred destination for students from different parts of the country to pursue a professional education, be it in engineering, medicine, or any other field. The city is home to globally renowned corporate houses in the IT sector. The distance to the college from the city railway station and Bangalore airport is 7 km and 15 km, respectively.

The complete overview for one of the best self-funded and an incredible college of central India.
Placements: The placements even after the covid-19 virus outbreak were much better than last year. The placements were varied in all branches as per vacancies. My department and the college authorities worked hard for our under-rated civil dept to get such good placements.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the labs are well-equipped with modern technology and machines in our civil engineering domain. The hostel is also quite big for our college. The boys hostel contains 3 wings with 4 floors each which are good along with the mess and gym.
Faculty: The curriculum is quite updated each year by AICTE for engineering colleges across India. Our college has apt subjects and courses that are incredibly important for the industrial exposure of the students. The exams are pretty challenging too and good.
Other: Our college fest is Pratishruti, which is the greatest fest of central India colleges of Engineering. The connections and vibes in college are quite trendy and enjoyable. The college promotes cultural fests, events and activities all year round.

It is a top private college.
Placements: Our college has a good placement record with most placements coming from the IT sector. Core placement is not that good but there are a few core companies as well. Around 70 % of the students are placed. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and many more.
Infrastructure: The college has full Wi-Fi coverage. Each department has its specific building and with top faculty members. Classrooms are big enough to sustain 100 students. Labs are highly modernised with experienced lab attendants. Hostel rooms are not quite big enough but the total hostel capacity is around 400 students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in our college. Most teachers are old and Ph.D. holders. They have high teaching experience and we also have many senior faculty members with more than 30 years of experience. The civil department has approximately more than 40% faculty holding Ph.D. Overall faculty is experienced and semester exams are quite difficult.
Other: I wanted to pursue civil engineering, so I opted for this. I studied online for 2 years. The practical sessions could be improved. College provides scholarships to many students and many extracurricular activities take place in college.

Overall, the college is good with a good canteen, campus, events, etc.
Placements: Our college provides good placements, but sometimes they are unsatisfied. Companies like TCS, Infosys, L&T Infotech, Congitech, L&T, Shapoorji Pallonji Group, etc., visit our college for placements. The salary package offered ranges from 3-10 LPA. Almost 90% of students from our course got an internship in the companies. About 60% of the student got placed whereas other are preparing for future education.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and library are good here. Labs are also very good with good lab attendants. There is cleaniness in every part of the college. Hostels are very good with facilities like a watchman, mess, gym and playgrounds. The canteen is also good. Cycles are also available here.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very good and helpful. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it does not make the students industry-ready. If you are willing to become industry-ready, then they help you in that. Semester exams are somewhat tough as it is an autonomous college.

It is the best autonomous college in Nagpur.
Placements: About 90% of the students from our course got placed, but it is very difficult for core branches like civil engineering to get a job in core companies. Top recruiting companies for civil engineering are Shapoorji Pallonji, Afcons Infrastructure and vConstruct. The highest salary package offered in the civil engineering course is 4.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered by the small recruiters is 1.5 LPA. Roles like project manager, site engineer, design engineer and structural engineer are offered to the students. The internships are based on one's interest, and students can prefer an internship in IT companies and core companies. Most of the time, faculty members help in providing good internships.
Infrastructure: There is a separate infrastructure for each department. For the civil engineering department, there is a separate building with well-furnished classrooms and well-maintained labs. The Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus and library. The hostel also provides the required facilities like a LAN, night canteen, basketball court, football court, gymnasium and yoga hall. Good quality of food is available in a mess and canteen.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very helpful and experienced. They have about 10 to 15 years of teaching experience. They provide their personal notes, gives book recommendation for better understanding and conduct doubt sessions. They are always available to clear our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant, and it gives theoretical exposure to the industry.
Other: Various extracurricular activities are conducted by various clubs like Rotaract, dance club and SRC. The professional committee like training and placement cell, student committee, and TBI gives a great exposure to the professional world and helps to groom our personality.

Placements in the civil department are low.
Placements: In the civil branch, placements are very low. Very few core companies visit here, but apart from core branches, the overall placements are very good in this college. In the civil course, the highest salary package offered is 4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classrooms have facilities of projector and mic. Infrastructure is quite old, but it is well-maintained enough. Labs have almost all the equipment required, and Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The library is very good, and all the course books and non-course books are available easily. Hostel facilities are very good, and food is also food.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, and most of them are professors with a PhD degree. The teaching quality is very good. Rules and regulations of our college are quite strict, but faculty members are very helpful in all things like academic and also non-academic. The course is highly relevant.

Sorry, but the least cutoff for RCOEM last year was around 120 in the final round for civil engineering and is likely to increase this year, hence you need to check for other options.

You will get RCOEM but cut-off differs every year, it is difficult to make it for civil.

There are very selective companies that come for the placements (civil engineering).
Approx 5-6 companies which offer core civil jobs.

You can still make it up for RCOEM via CAP.
Branches like En, Etd, Industrial are still in option.

You have a good score in state but less in CET. But you should try in management rounds I’m sure till 3rd round you can get RCOEM.
