College of dreams for students who want to feel their student life.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed is around 70 percent. The highest package is 35 LPA, the minimum package is 9 LPA, and the average is around 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Nvidia, and many more chip-designing companies. The top MNCs of the nation gather during placement.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are obviously great, while the atmosphere of the campus feels like heaven, the view of the mountains is insane. Facilities are quite good. We can choose our mess timetable, the canteen feels okay, the ground is great, and our branch faculty is very supportive, as they are doing great in teaching.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Teaching quality is perfect. It makes the students industry-ready while they complete 4 years of study. The difficulty level is at its top, with a pass percentage 80 percent. It is generally considered as a good college for its environment, placement, etc.
Other: Electronics and communication engineering is known as the evergreen course. Generally, people say that we can choose both software engineering and hardware in this course. Where they make mistakes, in the beginning itself, you should fix them for the ambition. Events are great, like range-e-chinar 2.0, etc., is conducted.

As NIT Srinagar is a Tier 3 college, then according to that, it is good.
Placements: In 2024-25, the IT branch recorded 140.57% placement. And this is among the highest placements in all branches at NIT Srinagar. The highest package offered is Rs. 35.5 LPA, and the average and median are Rs. 10.4-11.6 LPA and Rs 8-10.6 LPA, respectively. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Microsoft, Google, etc. The percentage of students securing internships is 70-98% and common companies are Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Samsung, Amazon and other reputed IT firms. Top internship roles are Software Engineer, Developer, Full-Sack Developer, and Data Scientist.
Infrastructure: The IT department is good in the area, not as big as other NITs have, because the campus of NIT Srinagar is not very big. Wi-fi speed is decent throughout the campus, but in the library, wi-fi is top-notch. Hostels are decent, not top-notch. Food quality is low to medium, medical facilities are good, and sports and games are also very good. NIT Srinagar have a good enough playground, a common hall for indoor sports.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. But not all the teachers are helpful, only some are. Teaching quality is decent enough. In the 1st year, many subjects were taught that are not needed for us to learn as IT students. I think the curriculum for 1st year is not that relevant. I think that the students should do hard work on their own to get industry-ready. Mid sem exams are not too difficult, not too easy, their difficulty level is decent. The passing percent is nearly 100% with only a few 4-5s getting back.
Other: I chose IT as my course because at this college, IT is one of the top-performing branches. I think for tech branches from the 1st year, they should only be taught those subjects that are necessary for their future. Recently, there was a fest Range-e-Chinar that was conducted in our college, which was good. There are a lot of extracurricular activities in college. And about scholarship, I don't think there is any scholarship for General Students.

Good faculty and nice sports facilities in this college.
Placements: Placement is kind of average here, 50% students have been placed till now, the highest package was 20 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Oracle and Nvidia. Only a few students got internships from my course, and the companies were Microsoft, Oracle, etc. Top roles were front-end developed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available is okay. There is a LAN available in the hostel. Labs are under construction, and the library is small and is also under construction. The food quality of the mess is very poor, canteen food is okayish, the medical centre is good with good doctors, and sports and games are also good here.
Faculty: It's very easy to score in the semester exams in this college. The pass percentage is lower in my branch. The teachers are helpful and well-qualified. Teaching quality is also nice. The course curriculum is outdated and not relevant. It doesn't make students industry-ready; students have to study on their own to acquire skills.

The beauty of the Dal Lake and Kashmir.
Placements: 60 percent of IT students are placed every year, and placements are increasing year by year as new companies are approaching the campus. Companies like Google, Amazon, and Nvidia offer great packages to the students every year. Students should also struggle on their own.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostel as well as in the classrooms. Infrastructure of Labs and classrooms is quite good. Library is average it is small, it should be large so that more students are able to study in it. Quality of food in the hostel, as you know it is not so good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful for any work. Student should study on their own and practice for better results. Semester exams are not too tough that a 1st year student cannot do it. To pass the end term semester exams one has to get 40 marks out of 100.

Our college's placement scenario is good now.
Placements: Approximately 80-85% of students get placed in courses. The highest package is around 22 LPA, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. Several companies came to our college, like Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Mahindra, Orient, etc. In mechanical and metallurgical engineering, many students got internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, all facilities are available in the hostel and labs. For cold weather, dual AC units are placed in labs and the mess. The quality of food in the mess is good, with all varieties of food and seasonal fruits available. Here, medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Teacher qualification is good, they are qualified from various NITs, IITs, many GFTIs, and they have good knowledge related to their course and subject. Our course curriculum is relevant. It is relevant for industry needs. Our semester exam level is moderate to tough. 7.5 CGPA minimum to get eligibility for the sitting placement scenario.
Other: I chose it because I am interested in mechanical engineering. I feel the best thing in this branch is that it is an evergreen branch.

Pretty much satisfied with the college.
Placements: The placement is pretty good. By this, I mean that students with good skills will definitely get placed. Top recruiters come to the college. Microsoft, JP Morgan, etc., are some of the recruiters. The NIT Srinagar placement and Training cell monitors placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty average. It is not at the level of a national institute. The infrastructure needs to be improved. Some benches are broken and cannot be used. Some labs need to be improved ( in the case of infrastructure). Work is going on in many parts of the campus.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful. They try their best to make you understand concepts in a clear and concise manner. The 1st sem has a moderate-paced curriculum which helps the students to get into college-level mathematics and Physics. The semesters are smooth.
