Modern-day gurukul, fully green campus, good vibes, average package.
Placements: So, from my batch, 80% students got placement. The highest package offered was 27 LPA, the lowest package offered was 3.5 LPA, and the average package was around 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, DEE, Sonalika, Kandhari Beverages Ltd., ISGEC, Jindal, TCS, Mahindra, etc. The top roles offered were GET.
Infrastructure: Department infrastructure is the best. If you want to do research work or anything, there are plenty of resources available. The library is the best, all course-related stuff and other literature are easily available, and we have an e-library option. The hostel facility is good, but the mess is managed through a third-party contact, so the food quality is bad.
Faculty: Teachers are the best in their field. If you're truly willing to grow, they will eventually help you grow. Course curriculum is relevant, but it has to be changed my modern world requirements. Semester examinations are easy. Almost every student passes, but exceptions are everywhere.
Other: I'm a 2025 passout from the mechanical department. My reason for choosing this course was my love for automobile machines. The things I want to improve are firstly that the course should change immediately with aligned to modern world requirements and new technologies. Second, the teacher and student relations should be good, and research work should be promoted. Plenty of extracurricular activities are held, like Tech fest, Cultural fest, Science day, etc.

College for extra passion and dreams.
Placements: 90% placed in this college in batches. Most students prepare for higher studies and other competitive exams based on graduation, like CLAT, UPSC, SSC, and many more exams like this, to update themselves with higher knowledge. They also prepare themselves for better jobs in placement drives and interviews.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good, but you have to compromise with the mess food. Security is also good. They protect you from any misleading activities and work in their surveillance. Please keep your things and life in check around them, and do not forget to thank them occasionally for their kind deeds.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty are good. All the students also follow the guidance of the faculty and professors, studying very hard for good academics and placement. So, please check it out and try it if you want to achieve very big ambitions for other exams and life.
Other: Fests are good, and very regular workshops and events are also held.

Average college, best place for GATE preparation, low fees, wide campus, and greenery everywhere.
Placements: All are placed. Some go for higher studies like GATE. There are good results in GATE exam. Top companies are Infosys, TCS, JP Morgan, JSW, Larsen and Turbo, Khanna Paper Mills, Cognizant, Capgemini, Torant Gas, Fidelity International, and Unilever.
Infrastructure: Mess food is okay. Hostels are good. Sports facilities are good, organised many games. Teams go to play in other colleges. Drones and robotics club are present.
Faculty: Course curriculum is easy and relevant. Academic pressure is not so much. Getting a good CGPA is easy by studying one night before the exam. There are two minor exams and one major exam in one semester. Assignment and project are given. Classes are not so much hectic but there is also 75% attendance policy.
Other: Many fests are organised. There is one technical fest known as Techfest and one cultural fest known as Madhuram. They participate in many events organised in IIT and NIT. Coding club is present and it is active.

    Review of SLIET Punjab College.
Placements: For placements, you should not have any backlog in any exam and should have a CGPA of 7 and above. Top companies like Infosys, TCS, HCL, Cognizant, and many more recruit. The average placement is 5 LPA, and some top students also get 10 to 15 LPA. About 50 to 60% of students get placed each year.
Infrastructure: The best thing about this college is that its fees are lower compared to other colleges. I got a 91% in JEE Main. I got the Electronics and Communication branch, which is quite good according to my rank. Classrooms are quite good, and most of them are smart classrooms. The campus is beautiful and about 450 acres. The campus has a lot of trees, which makes it very beautiful.
Faculty: The qualifications of some faculty members are B. Tech and M.Tech from some IITs, but not all. But, some faculty members have a unique way of teaching, which is quite good. Some send their assistants to teaching, who are currently doing their Ph.D. at the college. This college also offers a diploma degree. The format for the B. Tech degree is Minor-1, Minor-2, and then Major each semester.
Other: At the time of registration, you have to pay Rs.67,000, which includes the first-semester fee, hostel fee, admission fee, and some other charges. The college's per semester fee is Rs.37,000. It also includes the hostel fee of Rs.4,000 per semester. You have to pay a mess fee, which is nearly Rs.3,000 per month. Various scholarships are available, such as Mahindra, tuition fee waivers for top rankers in JEE Main, and others. Two to three students in each batch are given a tuition fee waiver, which is about Rs.26,000 per month. I chose the Electronics and Communication branch because I love robotics, and it is growing in today's world.

The college has a very good environment, all you need here is to study hard by yourself.
Placements: I joined the college in 2023 computer science batch through JEE Main. Generally students who scored 90 percentile or more in JEE Main have a chance to get a seat in this college in the computer science stream. In my batch, there are 63 students. Talking about packages, the news we hear every day is that most seniors get placed with an average package, while some of them get good placements too. The highest package offered to date is 33 LPA and average movies are around 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies here are TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant offering software-developed roles.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure facilities are more than good here. All types of departments filled with sufficient equipment are present here. College gives free 1 GB high-speed Wi-Fi availability. The library facilities are also present here and for computer science students. All types of labs are available for them to study and practice. Hostel facilities are also very good. The only drawback is the mess food is not good. The college provides all types of sports and gaming facilities like a cricket stadium, volleyball basketball, and badminton court.
Faculty: All teachers are very much qualified. Some of them are Ph.D. from IITs, I feel nothing bad about the teaching quality unless you are interested in understanding. The course curriculum I feel is 4-5 years behind the current development in the CSE field. Talking about the examination there are 2 minor exams of 15 marks each 1 major of 50 and the rest of 20 of personal assessment and assignment which I think is a good way to evaluate students.
Other: I chose my degree here as the feels structure of studying here is very budget friendly and a very big campus of around 500 acres full of greenery and ample space for each activity. The only thing this college needs to improve is to start getting bigger and better placement so that bigger companies like Amazon also think to visit here. Two fests are held in a year Madhuram a cultural fest and Tech Fest a technical fest. Scholarships like a foundation for excellence, Reliance, NSP scholarship, and Siemens scholarship program are some of the scholarships.

Pretty average in other aspects, but lot of spare time for self growth.
Placements: The placements in SLIET are pretty average, as big players of the market do not participate in the on-campus placements. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, HCL, etc. participate in the placements, but they offer packages as low as 3.5 LPA. Students have to go through aptitude tests, interviews, and a final round, and at the end, they get these little packages. This year (2024), Infosys took 44 students from CSE, ECE, EE, etc. in the IT field at 3.28 LPA. The highest package offered this year was 11.5 LPA to 5 electrical students by Hindustan Unilever.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the institute is pretty good. The college is spread over 453 acres of pretty lush and green area. The college has academic blocks (one for each branch), a central library with all kinds of books, magazines, a study center, a student activity center with a gym and sports facilities, a sports complex, a food complex, stores, restaurants, etc. The classrooms have smart boards installed and Wi-Fi access for every student, but with a limit of 1 GB per day per student. Talking about the hostel, you get a 3-seater room with 3 chairs, 3 almirahs, 3 beds, 2 fans, etc.
Faculty: The faculty members of the college are above average; they are highly qualified and experienced, and pretty supportive. Maximum faculty members understand the problems of students, unlike other non-deemed colleges (for example, they do not detain or fail you if the case is genuine). The curriculum of this college is outdated and totally examination-focused. The syllabus of the course is the same as it was 20 years before. Exams are easy; it is easy to score and get a good grade in this college even if you study 1 day before the exam. There are 3 examinations per semester.
Other: This college has a great ROI (Return on Investment), but the crowd of this college is Punjab-centric and quite orthodox. Connectivity is not good; the nearest town is Sangrur, which is 25 km from the college, and the nearest city is Ludhiana, which is as far as 90 km. There is no source of fun inside the college, and nightlife is the worst. Hostel timing: (10 pm for boys, 7 pm for girls). Scholarships: (Tuition fee waiver, 2 students get it per branch - 1 boy and 1 girl). Fests: Madhuram (cultural fest), Techfest (technical fest). The college lacks in sports infrastructure.
