B.Sc. Microbiology in SBS PGI, Dehradun.

Placements: There are no placements for the B.Sc students. You have to do M.Sc. For that, you have to do a 3-year course and then, a 6 months internship to get the degree and mark sheet. The exams are conducted a bit late, and results are also released late. The placement is not available for B.Sc and medical microbiology as they have the low value, so you must do M.Sc or Masters degree. You can do some work in labs but not a good job after B.Sc. You can go for M.Sc in the same college or find another good college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice, not that bad, it is average. They are constructing the technical courses also in the nearby, as the area is less for a university. There are proper labs for pharmacy and a quiet place to study far from main Dehradun, Hussel. For microbiology, there is not a nice or best infrastructure.

Faculty: The faculty members are updated regularly. There are many teachers in the college. They are qualified. Sometimes, only for microbiology, teachers are updated a bit late and classes not held regularly. It is nice to get a B.Sc degree in microbiology. It is a good college for M.Sc also to get the better job.

Other: Many co-curricular activities are held time to time. The sports and crafts are normal. Drawing, photography, debate, sports, everything happens here, and a big annual day celebration which is really enjoyable.

Atmosphere and environment are very good and friendly here.

Placements: Placements were not offered until our passed out year in our college. I have no idea about recent placement activities. After pursuing this course, you can join in a hospital, blood bank, pathology centre and laboratories. Placements are not provided for graduates, and only biotech branch students get placements at the graduate level.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and there is a good environment with good vibes. A medical card is provided to every student for free medical checkups and medicines. The canteen and cafeteria are well maintained and are cleaned properly. The quality of the food served in the mess is very good, and cleanliness maintained in the mess and hostel is also very good.

Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, well qualified and well trained with practical knowledge. Their teaching quality is very good, and they are excellent. They cope up with weak students to make them achieve their goals. Practical knowledge is provided, which helps in jobs as well as in further education.
