A good infrastructure and environment for students.
Placements: SCMS School of Engineering and Technology offers campus placements to students with an average package of 4 LPA. Major companies like Infosys, TCS, etc., visit the campus. Almost 60 percent of students are placed every year. The highest package offered is 12 LPA. With good marks and interest in learning, one can definitely secure a campus placement here.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is extraordinary. The library and labs are neat and clean. Hostels are also acceptable at their best. In 2026, the college got autonomous status because of its exceptional performance. The mess food tastes really good.
Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful. SCMS has very highly accomplished staff. Exam preparation can be done with the help of teachers. Faculty members here are Ph.D. holders, researchers, and other highly qualified professionals. The curriculum is simple and relevant to the course.
Other: The best thing about this college is its infrastructure, and of course the food. The mess food here is very good and worth every penny.

Balanced CSE academics with great labs, tight schedules, and decent campus life.
Placements: 80 to 90 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 17 LPA, the average is 6 LPA, and the lowest is 1 LPA. Recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Popular Hyundai, and Barath Benz. Roles offered are Software Engineer, Developer Trainee, Associate System Engineer, Full Stack Web Developer, QA Test Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst, and Data Associate.
Infrastructure: There are AC labs for OS/DBMS, smart classrooms, campus Wi-Fi, and a vast library support the CSE department. Hostels offer clean and secure rooms. The mess serves standard Kerala cuisine alongside a varied canteen. Basic medical aid and sports fields are available.
Faculty: Faculty are qualified, helpful, and follow the KTU curriculum which covers core concepts like OS and DBMS but requires extra self-study for industry readiness. Semester exams are moderately difficult with a strict evaluation. Pass rates are around 60-70 percent.
Other: I chose this course for its vast career scope. CSE thrives on coding labs and logic. The KTU syllabus can feel outdated needing a more modern tech focus. Campus life is lively with fests and teach events though strict academic schedules limit extra activities.

The Kerala campus of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
Placements: The placement percentage is around 85 percent. The average package is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Mostly the companies try to mass recruit the students. The highest package is around 15 LPA which is for off-campus. The placement percentage is high for CSE branch students. The internship needs students' involvement very much.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good enough. Some classrooms are smart. The campus has a big auditorium hall for fusion that is held throughout the year. The library is big with digital facilities. The quality of food in the hostel is okay. Sports facilities are limited but coaches are available.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly experienced. Most of my branch teachers are Ph.D. holders or M.Tech. Teaching quality is decent. The course curriculum is a little old but improvement is coming soon. The semester is mostly book-based. The pass percentage is above 90 percent. The course fails to make every student industry-ready.
Other: I chose this campus to get some pace from the outside world and have a decent and peaceful life.

The college has good facilities and staff.
Placements: Almost 50 percent or more of students get placed. The highest package is around 10 LPA. The lowest package is 2 LPA. The average package is 3 to 4 LPA. Major companies like Infosys, IBM, and some others recruit from the college. Internships are mainly in companies like Microsoft and others. Almost 20 percent of students get internships.
Infrastructure: We have projectors in class and whiteboards. We have a Wi-Fi signal, although it is not very strong. We have multiple labs for different purposes. We have a wonderful library with many books related to the course and studies. The food in the canteen is pretty okay, and we have sports teams for cricket, football, kabaddi, and others.
Faculty: We have some wonderful teachers who are willing to help us. They are experienced and have good teaching skills. The course curriculum is a bit outdated. Since, it is updated only every four years. The semester exams are okay, sometimes a bit tough. The pass percentage is more than 90.
Other: I wish there are more events in college. Most of them focus on students in hostels.

My college is a good college with good faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placed is almost 50% from our previous batches, and currently, we are undergoing placements. We still don't know the top companies that include IBM, Infosys, etc. Some students have also attended internships. The salary package offers included 6 LPA, 4 LPA, etc.
Infrastructure: I myself am not a hosteler; I am a day scholar, so I don’t really know from my own experience about the hostel. From what I know from friends, the hostel is not very bad. The food can be improved a little. The labs and all the other facilities are okay on the campus.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is really good. They are qualified and have a good relationship with the students. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum can be a little better, but it is not the college's decision, so it is not a problem. The semester exams, if studied, can be passed.
Other: I chose CSE because it was better compared to other branches at the time of joining, and I love CSE. So that's why I wish that if we had more technical hours rather than just normal theory, then it would be great.

Great campus life, supportive faculty, good placements, and excellent facilities at SSET.
Placements: I'm from B.Tech computer science (2021-2025 batch). The placement record is impressive with around 85 percent of students placed. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is around 4.5 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro, and UST Global. About 60 percent of students received internships in reputed companies. The placement cell has excellent support through training sessions, aptitude classes, and mock interviews ensuring students are well-prepared. Placements are consistent. Most students got good roles such as software developer, analyst, or system engineer.
Infrastructure: SSET has a beautiful campus with modern facilities. Classrooms are spacious and have smart boards and Wi-Fi. The computer labs are well-maintained and updated with the latest software. The library is large, peaceful, and has both printed and digital resources. Hostel life is comfortable. Rooms are neat. There's 24-hour security and power backup. The mess food is average but hygienic and there are nearby canteens with better options. Sports facilities like football, basketball, and indoor games are great for recreation. The medical room and campus cleanliness are well taken care of making it a pleasant place to stay.
Faculty: The faculty at SSET are very supportive and knowledgeable. Most professors are qualified and approachable for both academic and personal guidance. The teaching quality is excellent with a good balance between theory and practical sessions. The curriculum is updated regularly to include trending technologies like AI, Data Science, and IoT, keeping students in sync with industry needs. Semester exams are moderately challenging but manageable with consistent study. Internal tests and assignments help in maintaining focus throughout the semester. The overall pass percentage is quite high and teachers ensure every student understands the concepts thoroughly before exams.

Review of SCMS School of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: As the placements provided in our college is good. 30% of the students get placements. There are many companies for recruitment. Soti, Infosys, Wipro, Federal Bank, and many more are the companies that come here for placements. The average salary package of our college is 4 LPA. The highest salary package of our college is about 14 LPA which is provided by Soti company. Our campus also provides internships in Japan which is so privileged. Students apply internships outside the campus too.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure on our campus is the best. The food they serve and the menu differ actually in 2 months concurrently. There will be a choice whether veg or non-veg. The campus is beautiful and provides all the facilities. Our college has sports in which students participate. Since the sports department is not that strong. But we do have kabaddi and kho girls who secured district-level champion students who are also selected to the state team. The library is there on the campus and has more than 2,000 books.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and they will be helping us to bring maximum potential of the students. The college organizes maximum events to be updated and also to be engaged in with technology. All teachers in our college are post-graduated and experienced. The majority of them pursued doctorate degrees and many of them are pursuing too. Teachers are provided with classes when the syllabus changes such that they are updated with the current trends. Semester exams are not difficult if students can spend 2 hours daily, they can get above 9 CGPA.
Other: I am an aspiring student who likes to study and learn about technology from my 12th grade. I took CS as my stream and like to follow my passion thus I chose this college. This is the best college for all kinds of students.

Campus Life at SCMS Engineering College.
Placements: About 60% of students from the CS branch are getting placements. Packages will depend on the skills and interests of the companies. The average package should be around 2.5 LPA. If you have good coding skills, you could get around 6 LPA from good companies like Tata, IBM, Infosys, etc. top roles offering good packages are data scientist and software developer.
Infrastructure: The college has a wide variety of good infrastructure. There is a big library that is fully air-conditioned. Free Wi-Fi is available on the campus. Classrooms are equipped with a digital infrastructure for visualization. For the first year, the hostel is inside the campus, but it may not provide the best experience. The food in the canteen is good. Additionally, there are facilities like a basketball court, cricket nets, a volleyball court, and a football field. There are teams for each sport, and skilled individuals can join these teams.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in studying. They are well-qualified with doctorates, and the teaching quality is good. They can teach using our common language as well. However, the course curriculum for the first year is not relevant at all; it's just a continuation from our schools and not required for our job industry. Semester exams may be difficult for an average student, and the average percentage is around 6 SGPA.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to continue in the computer field. There are a wide variety of opportunities in this course. However, I think the curriculum should change to focus more on our future jobs. Training for jobs will be important, and improving skills is crucial in this course. There aren't many fests in the college, and it is comparatively smaller compared to other top colleges.
