B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027
5.0
Absolutely satisfied because of the good faculty members and campus.
Placements: I am a CS student, and it is the most demanded course in the current situation. The placements for the course come in a range of packages, with the highest package of nearly 17 LPA and the average package of 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, etc. Most of the students placed are involved in areas like software development, web development, etc.
Infrastructure: FISAT provides a great infrastructure for their students with a fully Wi-Fi-enabled campus and a calm environment. Also, the college has one of the best libraries in our state. Also, the hostels are perfect based on various factors like food, cleanliness, etc.
Faculty: The faculty members of FISAT are highly experienced and receptive so as to provide the best education and knowledge for the students. The curriculum is made in such a way that it enhances the student's ability to perform well in a professional and ethical way.
Other: Since B.Tech is one of the most prominent courses in the current situation, having a degree in it would be of great help.

More to know about FISAT.
Placements: FISAT is consistently ranked as one of the top colleges in Kerala for CSE placements, attracting major companies like Wipro, IBM, UST Global, TCS, and Infosys to recruit students from its B.Tech CSE program. Graduates from FISAT can expect an average salary of around 5 Lacs per annum, with big companies like TCS offering up to 12 Lacs per annum. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the placement cell, around 90% of the passout students secure placements through placement drives. FISAT also provides both boys and girls hostels, ensuring comfortable accommodation for students. The facilities include proper mess facilities, 24/7 security, laundry services, and fitness centers.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is exceptional at this institution, with dedicated laboratories for areas such as AI, Robotics, and Software Development. The presence of smart classrooms and high-speed internet connectivity greatly enhances the efficiency of teaching methods.
Faculty: The college offers exceptional teachers who have the ability to help even an average student comprehend the subject matter. The teachers employ effective methods and maintain a friendly approach, ensuring that everyone understands the syllabus. The curriculum is up-to-date and relevant, covering future technologies such as AI, 5G, and Data Science, which enhances students' employability. The semester exams are moderately challenging, allowing students who grasp the concepts to excel in their respective subjects.
Other: The festivals organized are at the national level and considered to be the best festivals in the district.

Excellent placements for most students, helpful but strict teachers who focus more on studies.
Placements: About 40 percent of the placement have been completed for the passing out batch and about 80 percent of the students have been placed. The highest salary package was 12 lakhs per annum and the lowest salary package was 3.5 lakhs per annum.Top recruiting companies are TCS and infosys.20 percent of the students got internships with a payment of 30000 per month to complete 5 projects. Top roles offered are software developers
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided in the college is top notch with labs with the latest equipment, high speed wifi, clean classrooms with lots of sunlight and ventilation and a library with plenty of books about all the topics required for study. The quality is the food in the hostel is a little poor but the canteen food is good. There is not a lot of sports facilities as there is only 1 basketball court and football ground. But sports activities are highly encouraged in the college
Faculty: The teachers are adequately qualified with qualifications from top colleges like iits. The teachers are always ready to help you and clear your doubts. The course is adequately relevant as it prepares the student in programming using java, data structures, c programming etc. The semester exams are not that difficult and can be easily cleared. The pass percentage is about 80 percent in my batch
Other: I chose computer science chose because of the rising software industry and the opportunities it puts forward. This available of multiple opportunities is the best thing about this course. I wish the course would concentrate more on topics like machine learning and AI

The college is a very good place to study and have fun at the same time.
Placements: In our college, almost 100% of students were placed. There were more than 400 offers. Everybody who studied came out with flying colors. The highest salary package offered was 13 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, UST, and others visited our campus. Almost 20% of students got internships at companies like Cognizant, People 10, and TCS.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was available on and around the campus and hostel. Everyone had access to Wi-Fi. The library and labs were fully air-conditioned. Labs were quite large to accommodate more than four entire classes at the same time. The quality of the hostel was good. There were generators to make up for power cuts and wardens took care of students as if they were their children. The food served in the hostel was the best among any of the hostels in Kochi. We could suggest changes in hostel food every six months according to our tastes. There was an ambulance service to take action in serious situations. There was a huge cricket ground in which matches of the Kerala Cricket Association were being held. There was also basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, and football, and every sport had its college team. Every month, the college hosts intercollege matches and engages students.
Faculty: Our teachers take care of us like KG students. They wanted us to study and get good marks, and they did everything they could to make us understand a particular topic. Now that the college was NACC-accredited, knowledge-level questions were asked. They were all well-educated. The course curriculum had hands-on projects and mini projects so students are industry-ready. Semester exams were quite moderate. The pass percentage was around 80–85%.
Other: The college conducted a tech and arts festival called BHARATHAM for every college in Kerala, with good cash prices. Every department conducted its tech fest and small workshops. It was not only in studying the college focus that it tried to bring out the best of all students in extracurricular activities like dancing, singing, etc.

Our college is a concrete jungle, and the management is not good.
Placements: Almost 80% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 14 LPA by a reputed company. Big Binary, TCS, CTS, Commvault, Virtusa, Mitsogo, and Musigma are teh top recruiting companies that visit to hire students. Around 20% of students get offline internships, and almost 70% of students get online internships.
Infrastructure: There are 2 hostels, PG, and MH. Both have a decent infrastructure. The rooms are big enough for 3 students. Cleaning is done by the management every few weeks. The food is not great. Our college laboratory and the classrooms are good. There is Wi-Fi so students can play games during class.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is not relevant. It does not make students industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate. Students can pass even if they did not go to class for a whole semester. The exams are average.
Other: This college is like a concrete jungle.

There are really good infrastructure and facilities here.
Placements: More than 60% of students got placed from our course. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course were TCS, Mindtree, QBurst, Gadgeon, KalkiTech, Dexlock, BigBinary, UST Global, Ruby7, SAP, Cognizant and IBS. Around 10%-15% of students got internships in companies like TCS, etc. Top roles offered here are software engineer and assistant system analyst trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was superb here, and speciality labs were provided. Our college had fabulous labs, which were used for innovation, creativity and building prototypes for different projects. Our college had a 3D printer, and classrooms had projectors for presentations. The library had a wide range of books. Moreover, a digital library was provided inside the library, and students could use it with the college subscription and read books. They could do courses from Coursera and other sites for free with a college subscription. Internet facility was available in the labs and digital library, so students could search and research for their projects and activities. The quality of food served in the canteen and hostel was average. Medical facilities were provided, and sports and games for girls were very limited. Sources of entertainment and activities in college were minimal.
Faculty: Teachers here were helpful and qualified, but the behaviour of most of the teachers was poor. Their teaching quality was not excellent but average. The course curriculum is not relevant and does not make students industry-ready. Students are required to gain more practical knowledge instead of theoretical knowledge. Internal exams are tough, and the marks given by teachers are very low. They give marks based on the students rather based on the papers in internal exams. Semester exams are conducted properly, and the difficulty level is average. The pass percentage is above 65%.
Other: I studied in the computer science of 2020 pass out batch. The teachers of the computer science department are very unkind, and some of them are very biased. They show inequality between boys and girls. I chose this course considering the career opportunities, and I have an interest in technology. The best thing about my course is I am able to grow in my career since the future is dependent on technology. My course should have included current technologies and also practical projects in all semesters, so students get ready for the industry. Events and fests organised on our campus were fun, but very few events were organised in the entire B.Tech course. The campus crowd is maximum, and the surroundings of the campus are peaceful. Mobile connectivity is very poor inside the campus. Scholarships provided by the campus are good. The scope of extracurricular activities inside the campus is very low.

A fine private college in Kerala, with good infrastructure.
Placements: My batch was B.Tech computer Science passed out in 2019. Almost everyone from my class got placed in some companies, including MNC's like Infosys, Wipro and TCS. TCS was the major recruiter. Some went for properly established startups. Top roles were System Analyst, Project Engineer etc. All the MNC's provides an average salary around 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Computer Science and Engineering department have a great infrastructure at FISAT. The Central Computing facility has 9 labs and over 500 computers supported by a super computer. Every class room have Projectors. A strong internet facility. The other departments also have good infrastructure. FISAT provides good Library, hostel facility and all basic necessary infrastructure including ATM, canteen and sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified and with great knowledge. Teaching style was interactive and included making use of the infrastructure for better understanding. FISAT follows the course curriculum proposed by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. This university was founded in 2014. So the curriculum seems to be pretty relevant but not completely updated. This university introduced open book exam. Even though it was only for one subject.
Other: FISAT host annual tech and Arts festivals. Fisat also host events of various professional association's like IEEE. Computer Science department is a department which stands out very well in the college.

Really good infrastructure, but students are not allowed to use it to the fullest.
Placements: Placements in the college are pretty good. About 90% of students from the computer science department were placed with the highest package of 7 LPA. Companies visiting the college include TCS, Xpirion, UST Global, Directi and many more. Most of the students are offered a role of assistant software engineers. Nearly 10% of the students were offered internships at TCS. We have a very efficient placement cell lead by two professors and a bunch of very active student placement volunteers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is magnificent. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and there are fully equipped facilities in the labs. Computer labs have about 300 computers along with one supercomputer exclusively made by a college professor and his team. We have a special interest group called the centre of excellence in robotics and e-yantra lab. The campus also has a digital library with almost all research papers available.
Faculty: All professors are postgraduates, and some are doctorates. They support students in every way possible, but what chokes our lives in the campus is the jail routine followed here. Students are closed inside this campus and are meant to concentrate only on academics. Hostel students are not even allowed to enjoy the campus facilities. The syllabus followed is designed by Kerala Technical University.
