Review of Seth Anandram Jaipuria College, Kolkata.
Placements: To secure a seat in college, your 12th board percentage should be more than 85 percent. Well, major recruiters are TCS, Accenture, Wipro but it varies from department to department. With a B.Com, you can get a role of accountant. I'm in semester 1 right now, so we don't have any internship opportunities right now.
Infrastructure: Very poor infrastructure. There are no hostel facilities. There is no ground in the college, and the canteen also doesn't look clean. There is a gym room which is very small and also seems closed every time. There is no Wi-Fi facility in the library, and growth is very limited in this college.
Faculty: Well, the teachers here are qualified and maybe knowledgeable, but they don't seem interested in teaching. Also, they are not helpful in any way. Also, the course curriculum is not relevant and doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams at this college are very hard, as they don't even teach this much, but the questions asked are very difficult.
Other: This college is considered one of the top colleges under Calcutta University. It has everything but zero opportunity for growth. There is no proper management. Language barrier can also be an issue if you don't know Bengali. I chose this course because I'm also pursuing CMA. My honest opinion would be that if you're taking admission in this college, then don't just remain in this degree. It's not gonna land you a job. Even if you find a job, the package would not be more than 4 Lacs. This college has no campus, so only the freshers’ is celebrated in this college.

Good faculty support, decent placements, and well-maintained infrastructure.
Placements: In our course, around 70-80 percent of students got placed while a few opted for higher studies. The highest package offered is around 10 LPA the lowest is about 3 LPA and the average package is nearly 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Top recruiters included companies like TCS Wipro Infosys Deloitte and EY. Almost 60 percent of students also got internship opportunities in reputed firms such as ICICI HDFC PwC and ITC. The major roles offered in finance auditing business analyst tax associate and consulting profiles which give students good career exposure.
Infrastructure: Our college provides well-maintained infrastructure with spacious classrooms WiFi computer labs projectors seminar halls and a fully stocked library. Hostel facilities are decent with proper accommodation hygienic food served in the mess and a canteen that provides snacks and meals at affordable rates. Sports facilities like cricket football and indoor games are available along with medical support for emergencies. Overall both course and hostel facilities ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, supportive, and explain concepts clearly. The curriculum is relevant to industry needs with a good balance of theoretical and practical knowledge. Semester exams are moderately difficult but with proper preparation students can score well. The pass percentage remains quite high. Teachers are approachable. They always encourage doubts, which makes learning easier.
Other: The course is quite affordable compared to other institutes offering similar programs. The facilities, faculty quality, and placement opportunities justify the fees, making it a good value for money.

It's a really good college with good faculty members.
Placements: The placement cell of this college is average. Some companies like Wipro and TCS come for placement frequently. Some students get internships at this college in some accounting firms. People are getting 2.50 Lacs to 3.00 Lacs as an average package, but the number of students is not so big.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. Free Wi-Fi facilities are available all over the college. Classrooms are very big. No hostel facilities are available in this college. There are lots of PG rooms available near the college at very affordable prices. A canteen facility is also available in this college.
Faculty: Faculty members are good at this college. They are very strict about your attendance. All facilities are very friendly, and they teach very well. This will help you in the future, also. They teach all the chapters very clearly; this will help you for the semester exam as well.
Other: Various events take place in this college. You all can participate in those events.

It is the second most reputed government college for Commerce after Goenka College.
Placements: Around 60–65% of students get placed. The highest package as of the year 2023–24 is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 2 LPA. Companies like Wipro and Amazon recruit students. The college also offers internships with companies like TCS, Wipro, and Bajaj Allianz. Around 80% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are nice and spacious. Wi-Fi is only for teachers. The library is very big and maintains a nice environment, and it is air-conditioned only for students. No hostel is provided by the college, but you can find PGs within a 1–2 km radius. The canteen food is okayish.
Faculty: Teachers are well-behaved and know the course well. As this college comes under Calcutta University, it's not very easy to clear semesters. You need to study sincerely at least one month before exams. The B.Com (Hons) course is the best for the Commerce stream.

Good college for people living in Kolkata.
Placements: There are many types of courses provided at my college, like B.Com, B.Sc., etc. But as per my knowledge and after talking about placements with my seniors, there is no on-campus placement provided in my college. Although the college provides information about available jobs and vacancies in companies located in Kolkata. There are internships I am not sure if the college provides internships or if we have to arrange them ourselves.
Infrastructure: The campus of our college is small. The college has three shifts morning, day, and evening, so there is no hostel facility available. Classes are good, but there are no smart classrooms. The college library is great, but the availability of books is poor. The college has a canteen (the food is okay) and a gym too.
Faculty: Teachers here are good, but most teachers refer to teaching in Bengali, so it is quite difficult for students from other states (non-Bengali). There is no such initiative taken to make students industry-ready. As for exams, they are taken by Calcutta University, so you have to go to different colleges for your semester exams.
Other: The majority of the population is native Bengali, so if you are from other states, you have to understand Bengali. Overall, if you don't want to waste a year and are getting this college. You might consider this college only if you are doing other professional courses like CA, CS, etc., or preparing for MS or other jobs.

The experience of a college student is summarised.
Placements: There are roles like accountant and marketing manager and all related to finance management available after this course. The Big 4 companies also offer jobs for this position for students who graduated with this course. The lowest package is upto 2 LPA, and the highest depends on the level of experience.
Infrastructure: There are many options that can be opted by students for living. Hostels are also available separately for male and female students. Canteen service is good and decent food is served. The price of food is also reasonable. Medical facilities like a medical room is available for students and the gym for students is also open.
Faculty: Teachers in the college are very helpful with studies and research. There are almost 2 exams per year and they are of different subjects and syllabus. The course of chapters is completed on time and doubt-clearing sessions are also held frequently by the teachers.
Other: There are various fests. Sports programs are held throughout the year for the students.

One of the best colleges for B.Com.
Placements: 40% of the students will be getting placed. The highest package offered is 4 LPA. The average package offered is 2 LPA. The lowest package offered is 1.20 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc. 60% of the students got internships from my course at Wipro and TCS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The college is quite big. It has many floors. It has many classrooms. It has labs, gym, library, canteen, and everything. The facilities of the hostel are average. The food quality of the hostel is not at all good and even the taste of the food is not nice. Canteen of the college serves good food at affordable rates. College also has medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and well-knowledgeable. They have qualifications like MBA, CA, CS, Ph.D, etc. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. It builds a strong base for the students. Semester exams are a bit difficult but if you study well it can be easily cracked.
Other: I chose this course because I am pursuing CA along with the course. B.Com is really helpful for CA. Faculty members of the course are too good and well-educated. Many events happen in the college like freshers, Holi, etc. Every festival is celebrated in the college. The college also provides scholarships like Kanyashree and SVMCM. Kanyashree provides Rs 25,000 per year if you score more than 60%. SVMCM provides Rs 12,000 per year if you score more than 60% in your semesters.

Amazing college experience with very supportive faculty.
Placements: I am pleased to share that our batch saw impressive placement records. More than 85 percent of students from our course were placed in top companies like KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, etc. Top roles offered were financial Analyst, management trainee and business development executive. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Although my college did not have any attached hostel, it provided excellent infrastructure and facilities. Department of Commerce had classrooms equipped with comfortable seating, projectors and screens. We had access to well equipped labs with modern computers and vast library. Campus had seamless Wi-Fi connectivity enabling us to access online resources. Our college had medical rooms, gym and cafeteria.
Faculty: Faculty members were highly qualified, knowledgeable and very supportive. Course curriculum was well-structured and relevant for today's Corporate Field. It covers financial accounting, cost accounting, management, Taxation, law, etc. This course is for 4 years semester basis. So every year had 2 exams and the passing mark was 40.
Other: I chose this course for its industry relevance and job prospects.
