Satisfied with faculty and infrastructure but dissatisfied with the hostel food and placements.

Placements: 96% of students get placed in different companies, 3 LPA to 12 LPA. Top recruiters include Zoho, TCS, Wipro, Amazon, and others. Internships are offered at companies like TVS and HCL, with 60–70% of students getting internships. The role of a software engineer has a minimum package of 4 LPA. Our college offers many top courses, including Computer Science and other computer-related courses.

Infrastructure: We have ICT-enabled classrooms and free Wi-Fi, though the network available is average. The library is the best place in our college to enhance our knowledge. The hostel is below average, and the food provided is also below average. Sports are enabled by our college.

Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and knowledgeable, and they teach in an understandable way. They are well qualified in teaching. Computer Science and Engineering is the best key to future doors, making it the best course. Semester exams are not much difficult and can be cleared when we study.

Other: I chose this course mainly because of the scope for a better future. The modern world can't be enabled without Computer Science, and the best part about this course is that we can gain extraordinary information to build the technological world. The most important thing is the hostel facility and food and the college building needs to be improved. There aren't many events in our college, but some technical events are conducted. Many students study here, and the college provides various scholarships, including scholarship exams and fee amount scholarships.

Dissatisfied because of the food, but good infrastructure.

Placements: Still not completed, so don't know the exact details. The top roles are Data Analyst, Junior Developer. The average package offered is around 4-7 LPA. This is for a fresher. The top companies are Zoho, CTS, TCS, and Wipro. Around 30 percent of students have got internships in companies like Avasoft and CTS.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure could be better. But the Wi-Fi, food, and hostel are great. The food is good, and all other facilities are excellent. Wi-Fi coverage is also good. The library is the best. There are all kinds of books for every part of the course and also for gaining extra knowledge.

Faculty: Good teaching. Excellent preparation for exams. The curriculum could be updated. It doesn't exactly make the students industry-ready, but it covers the basics. The semester exams are easy if you study well. The teachers are very professional and can be of good help.

Review of Sethu Institute of Technology.

Placements: Around 84% of CS students got placed the previous year. The lowest salary offered is Rs.8,000 per month and the highest salary is Rs.82,000 per month. The recruiting companies are Zoho, TCS, CTS, and Tech Mahindra. Students get internships in Zoho, TCS, Firebee, etc. The roles offered are junior software developer, relationship maintenance, and system admin.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connection is not good. Classrooms are good and spacious. Library is well-structured but has outdated books. Labs contain computers with an intel i5 processor and 16 GB ram. Hostel infrastructure is good but the food served is not good. Sports facilities available in our college are average.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good and have great hands-on experience. The course curriculum is outdated but it focuses on extra subjects related to software and business. Semester exams are average. The pass percentage is 91%. Most of the staff members are former working professionals in top companies.

Other: I chose this course because computer science is the next revolutionary field and provides good salary packages. Our college provides more live and hands-on experience to the students with mini projects from consultancies with a fair stipend on campus. Our college organised good events such as symposiums and hackathons.

Our college has a good course curriculum and infrastructure.

Placements: SIT offers very good placements, and most of the students get placed in top companies all over India. More than half of the students got placed, and most of us placed in IT companies as software developers, software tester, web developer, etc. Only a few students got internship offers.

Infrastructure: SIT campus offers good infrastructure and facilities to students, good Wi-Fi facilities and innovative labs. There are very good libraries for every department. The quality of the food served is very good, and they offer different varieties of food items. There are very good facilities for sports and games inside the campus.

Faculty: Both teaching and non-teaching faculty members are very helpful throughout my college life. Teachers are very well qualified in the subject. The course curriculum is very useful, relevant and helpful to become a software developer. It surely makes students industry-ready.

Other: The campus life is good. Our college conducts a lot of activities, fests, conference and seminars for students.

Faculty are helpful, supportive and motivated us all the time.

Placements: Nearly 50% of students got placed in my course. The highest package offered 60k and the lowest package offered 39k. Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Cognizant are the top recruiters. Few people got an internship from HCL Technologies Private Limited.

Infrastructure: Classrooms, Labs and library are big in size and clean as well. Wi-Fi facility was not provided. SIT college excel in medical and sports facilities. It has got many awards also. Food quality of college canteen is good and hostel mess is above average. Many students won awards in sports and games.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and we are blessed to have them. They motivated us all the time. Teachers are well knowledgeable, helpful and well qualified. They conducted coaching classes too. The course curriculum is relevant only. It does make the students industry ready.

Other: I did BE CSE (2010-2014) batch. NSS, NGC, NCC are also there in the college.

Placements, infrastructure and facilities are very good.

Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS, IVTL InfoView, CTS, Vuram and Infosys. In our course, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month, the highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. From our course, 5 students got placed in Aspire, and 6 students got placed in Altran.

Infrastructure: In our department, we have free Wi-Fi, our departmental library, 4 labs, and classrooms are very comfortable for students. We have a hostel for both girls and boys separately, and there are 7 canteens in our college. Sports are also provided in our college, and we have the first women football team.

Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. All teachers are very friendly, and they cleared our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant, and our students are ready for industry.

Other: I have chosen this course because my aim is to become a software engineer. All events and fests conducted here are superb.

My experience at Sethu college.

Placements: There is a consistent down in placement rate of the college year by year because of the incapability of placement cell. They are not ready to bring more external resources. Nearly 700 students were placed out of 1200. Only less than 30% of students got placed in core areas. Other students got placed in non-core sectors like banking, insurance, marketing and BPO. No internship opportunities were provided by the college. Students can get an internship from their own sources and college will grant permission irrespective of the duration of the internship which is good. I did an internship for nearly four months.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, but one cannot expect any architectural theme. Classrooms are wide and well-ventilated. The speed of Wi-Fi is okay, and labs have outdated systems. There is a good dispensary with a full-time doctor and ambulance. The library is large with collections of books. There are separate canteens for boys and girls with good and tasty food.

Faculty: There are nearly 30 PhD teachers in the college. But some teachers are without much experience. Most of the teachers are friendly, and I will give 6 out of 10 their teaching quality. As the college is autonomous now, the course curriculum has been updated. Still, there is no industry exposure. There are all facilities for teaching.

An average college in all the aspects.

Placements: The placement cell in this college is average. Most of the companies didn't issue call letters for the placed students. Only a few companies have offered Rs. 15000 or above to the students. Only a few core companies have come for placements. Also, the placement cell does not provide any company's details during placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is of average level. The internet speed of Wi-Fi is very poor, and the canteen provides only standing benches. There are a lot of buildings on the college campus. There is a delay in conducting classes. During exams, they use other departments' buildings also. The medical facilities are very poor, and students have to pay for the ambulance facilities also.

Faculty: The faculty are not well-experienced, and they have only 2 to 3-years of experience. The course curriculum is also not complete. Most of the staff don't have any experienced. The course also is incomplete in many subjects. The faculty don't give proper details and guidance.

Other: The canteen facility is average. The students coming by bus have to walk a long distance to the campus.
