It is a degree-awarding tertiary educational institution.

Placements: Almost 75% of the students from our course got placed in MNCs. The highest salary package offered is 22 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 10 LPA. Almost 90% of the student got an internship at the college in companies like TCS, CTS, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are now focusing on the labs, classrooms, etc. The college has an excellent infrastructure with advanced laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, etc.

Faculty: Primary duties of faculty members are effective classroom teaching, academic advising and counselling of students, participation in department committee work, continuous development of the curriculum through assessment, applied research or scholarly activity, and service such as assisting in the recruitment of students.

Other: I have chosen this course because it is an undergraduate degree programme, which covers all the technical and conceptual knowledge.

Good placement assistance, advanced course curriculum, well equipped labs, and Wi-Fi facility.

Placements: The main advantage of my college is placement assistance. Every year, more than 95% of the students got placed in various MNCs like TCS, COGNIZANT, IBM, IVTL, CSS CORP and so on. Also, in the academic year 2017, there were 795 students placed with the highest salary of 23 LPA and with the average salary of 3.2 LPA. Companies like TCS, IBM, IVTL come to our college for mass recruitment. In the year 2016, 95 students got placed in TCS with a salary of 3.5 LPA for a graduate engineer trainee role. Some companies including Gosys, Sutherland Services offered internship opportunities to the 25 3rd year students and 56 final year students.

Infrastructure: In our college, there were separate blocks for each department. Also, facilities like WiFi, mineral water, ATM, dispensary and canteen are offered. For sports, there was a separate place called Sethu sports village which comprises of a basketball court, cricket stadium, athletics track etc. Labs in each department were air conditioned and well equipped with latest instruments, in canteen there were more than 25 different food items available every day with low cost, there was a separate dining hall for boys and girls. Central library in our college has a huge volume of books and students were allowed to take books home for a period of 30 days.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very friendly and helpful for all the students. There was a 500 teaching staff in our college. Out of these, 100 staff were completed PhDs, so they have a good knowledge and support students in the advanced curriculum. There was innovative teaching like smart class teaching, Z-A technique, quiz practice etc. Our college holds autonomous status, course curriculum was designed by expert faculty in our college. The curriculum is very advanced like IITs, NITs which helps students to learn advanced technologies.

Other: Our college is located in Kariapati near Virudhunagar. The college offers good lecturers and a good study environment. Especially our IT department is a step ahead of other departments. It was a very good experience studying in Sethu Institute of Technology.
