Q:   What will happen if someone misses the internal exam in Shivaji College?
A: 
Nothing happens, if you have some medical reasons then you can submit the medical. I have seen that internal exams are taken 2-3 times because of missing students. Teachers should be provided the reason for absence in the exam and they would arrange another day for internals and sometimes teachers gives the option of giving internal exams if students scores less (to help the students in improving their internal marks). But if you know that you haven't scored well then you'll have to score good in semester exam so that you'll get good marks and won't fail.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) result is released by National Testing Agency. CUET syllabus is divided into three sections viz., Languages, Domain Subject and General Test. CUET language section assesses candidate through reading comprehension (factual, literary, and narrative), literary aptitude and vocabulary. CUET syllabus second section- domain subject assesses candidate's in depth knowledge on subject he/she has opted for. CUET third section- general test includes general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, quantitative reasoning and logical and analytical reasoning. CUET syllabus is available now. Candidates can check section wise detailed CUET syllabus here.

A: 

The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:

  • Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
  • The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
  • The difficulty level of the CUET exam
  • Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)

CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:

100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.

My experience is overall average.
Placements: There is no placement if you are a Science enthusiast and there is no career guidance or anything else related to it for Science students, but in the case of business studies, there might be a chance. If you want a job just after graduation, it is not there, but you can learn a lot in labs, as I did in the laboratories.
Infrastructure: The ambience in classrooms is good. The library is really good. Wi-Fi is there. The infrastructure of the labs is fine too, but for research there is no guidance or equipment either, you will develop interest but you will not be able to practice it.
Faculty: The teachers are fine. I really know so much now about so many different streams in Biology, and that opens a lot of options for me in the future, as every subject is being studied in different semesters nicely and deeply, embryology and microbiology are the ones that I found interesting. The faculty for botany is really nice.

I chose this as an experiment, but what I got in return was so much exposure.
Placements: The placements are good. If you work hard in classes and submit the assignments on time, it is very important for you to participate in events and learn from them. You can also join the internship cell and placement cell if you want. What needs to be done right is CGPA, and also interactions and communication.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel but the course, teachers, and overall academics are good. If we talk about the Wi-Fi, it's there labs are fully working, whether the apparatus works or not. The library is the best part. The classrooms are well maintained and airy.
Faculty: The curriculum is interesting and the faculty is just the cherry on top. Let's talk about exams, so exams are given every semester. The curriculum changes each semester, so you have to learn a totally new subject every 6 months. The faculty doesn't help with that, because the library exists.

Best underrated college in Delhi University.
Placements: 60 to 80 percent of the students in our college received placement. The highest package is 24 LPA. The lowest is 1.5 LPA. The college placement cell attracts around 200 companies for internships, and around 400 students get internships.
Infrastructure: Shivaji College infrastructure is very good and clean. The buildings are very clean. Dustbins are placed everywhere inside the campus. Shivaji College provides us with public Wi-Fi which is free for all. The library also has many helpful books. Labs are well maintained and clean.
Faculty: Shivaji College provides us with very helpful teachers who take care of us like their own children. They are really helpful. Teachers are very knowledgeable and answer all questions. Our teachers regularly take tests and assignments regarding the syllabus so we can get good scores in exams.

Good infrastructure and value for money, absolutely recommended to other students.
Placements: I don't really know about the company. Still, some students in my course got good, above-average-paying internships, though not a very high percentage of students in my course. There are less placements in Bachelor's in Maths honours but still some students get decent placements.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure is good but there are some parts of the campus and some rooms in the building that need to be improved. It will be beneficial for the students and their studies, and the canteens are good too, and the labs are actually in very good condition, as is the library.
Faculty: Faculty is decent, and exam conducting is good too. Although semester exams are quite difficult, not that much, some students could get stressed about the exams, but if a student is actually studying and well prepared, then he can easily pass the exams.

Review of Shivaji College.
Placements: Talked to my seniors about placements, according to them, placement rates are high and impressive. In 2026, 80 percent or more of students got internships. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, Accenture, Cognizant, etc. Top positions in finance and sales.
Infrastructure: We have the biggest library in the whole DU and also have AC bamboo rooms. The college has also provided us with activity halls. The classrooms are well maintained and clean. We have a separate big sports complex with a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a cricket ground.
Faculty: Exam management works really well and smoothly. Faculty is polite and helpful and responds patiently. The pass percentage is high and the difficulty is comparatively medium. Teaching quality is good, and it also makes students industry-ready. Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable.

The college is very good compared to other off campus DU colleges. Nice societies and crowd.
Placements: Placement drives take place every year, though not many reputable companies come. Around 60-70 percent of students can get recruited every year. You get chances for internships. The placement and internship cell is good and offers many internship opportunities throughout the year.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is there but doesn't work properly. The infrastructure of the newly built section is great but still lacks in the section that was built earlier. The library is the best and has every book you can think of. There are no hostels on the campus, you would need a PG to stay if coming from outside Delhi.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, helpful, very well-versed in what they are teaching also have a great level of knowledge. They help throughout the semester with any queries or doubts. Teaching quality is good compared to other courses. Semester exams are tough.
