Shri. Chinai College Review.
Placements: The college offers internships as well as job placements for students in MNCs and renowned companies for various sectors, such as banking, accounting and CA firms. Out of 90–100 students, only the top 10–12 students make it to the interview round, as per the professors.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure and a good campus for students to enjoy their free time. Classrooms are good and include projectors in specialized courses. The college has a canteen, but not that good. The library is filled with great books and even offers past-year papers for students to prepare for upcoming exams. There is no hostel facility.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified for their roles. Many are overqualified, like CA faculty for accounts. Professors have many years of experience, which helps the students get the most knowledge out of them. The professors are really helpful at times when we have doubts; they tend to solve them with ease and even show us the easiest possible way. The curriculum of B.Com. is not so relevant for job readiness. Semester exams are decently difficult but with a proper study plan, you can pass with a good CGPA and avoid KT?.
Other: The best thing about this course is that it is comparatively easy and cost-effective. So you can apply for other specialized courses like CA, CS, etc. A classroom equipped with a projector in B.Com. would be better for the students. Making the course relevant to current market trends and preparing students for jobs. The college celebrates a yearly festival called Kala Vilas, which encourages the students to showcase their talents in extracurricular activities along with Sports Day. The college also offers scholarships for backward students. Extracurricular activities like quiz competitions, dance competitions, etc. are organized by the college.

This college is average in studies, teachers, and infrastructure, but there are no placements.
Placements: Placements in this college are not good, and never heard of any placements from seniors. If anyone is coming to this college expecting internships or placements after 3rd or 4th year, and I would not suggest this college. Many colleges provide their students more as compared to this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average for this college. The classrooms are spacious, benches of good qualities, and all the classrooms include good air conditioning. The library of this college is very good and maintained well. The college does not provide any Wi-Fi or internet service to the student which is a disadvantage of this college.
Faculty: Faculty members of this college are good. Teachers are very helpful when the student feels needy. Faculty members teaching quality is good and supportive. The curriculum is provided by Mumbai University which is average. The examination in the college is strict.
Other: I selected BAF because I like accounts. As my personal preference, I do not like theory so I moved for some practical subjects.

Good faculty with poor placement.
Placements: The college has poor placement management, and reputed companies rarely visit the campus. In 2025, only three companies visit. One is a startup, and the other is a government tender-based firm. Offering low packages and limited career growth opportunities, leaving most students without suitable job options.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is good. However, there is no Wi-Fi and no hostel facility. A gym exists but remains closed and unused. The classrooms and the library are decent with sufficient resources. The canteen food is of below-average quality. On a positive note, the sports and medical facilities are well-maintained and provide good support to students.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, well-qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable. Their teaching methods are clear and student-friendly, making it easy to understand core concepts. The course curriculum is relevant and covers important industry-related topics. However, there is still some scope for updating it to meet current market demands. Semester exams are moderately difficult, neither too easy nor too tough. With regular study, students can perform well. The pass percentage is high, and most students manage to clear the exams without much difficulty.
Other: They should tie up with more companies to provide good placements to candidates. The college should install ACs in every classroom, especially in the library and on the second floor, as it gets too hot there during summer.

Dissatisfied with some faculties as at last I needed to join coaching classes to atleast pass.
Placements: Honestly, when placement was going on very few students were aware of that from my batch and only 10 percent people appeared for the interview due to which hardly any students got selected, the highest salary offered was around 15 to 17 thousand and there was no placement for the internships offered by this college. Mostly all BPO's and finance companies visited.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi for students, information technology lab was there but the faculty members were not good for our batch, I don't think there was proper medical facility available and for sports there was proper indoor and outdoor sports for interested students, big ground is also there for practice, quality of classroom was not that great but it was decent and a proper canteen was available.
Faculty: Few teachers were not that efficient to teach at this level they were un-experienced faculty members as per my suggestion for this course. Other colleges will be better like Tolani or Dhanukar. Any students can't just rely on college coaching because faculty members were not that good, we have to get admission in coaching classes too for passing for which fee was another 15000.
Other: Hardly any event/fest was organised for students, campus crowd is good, as it is in Andheri so traveling issue is also sorted. They also take students for industrial visits which is good.

Get admission and you will find a good experience here. The infrastructure is not so good.
Placements: There is a placement in my college but it doesn't guarantee 100 percent getting selected. There is a campus placement programme offered by the college where different companies hire students from the third year. Now it is my third year so we will have the placement campaign in the 6th semester which is in the month of February. I have talked with my seniors and only 10 students were selected among them. They are not paid a high salary but they are getting average salary as per a B.Com graduate. It is based on the performance given by a student in an interview. A person gets well-prepared before interviews can easily crack them. They just need to answer smartly. It also requires an academic knowledge of the curriculum to crack the interview. They pay a minimum of 12 thousand and the highest is 20 thousand. The college also provides summer internship assistance to the students who are interested. Last year, HP and ONGC were there for hiring students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so good but still, facilities provided by the college to the students are appreciable. In the college, we have a game room, labs, a gym, etc. We also have a canteen which is perfect for a breakfast with nominal rates. There are no hostel rooms in the college. The quality of service is good with respect to labs and the canteen. We also have free Wi-Fi in our college.
Faculty: The teachers are very lean and particular to the subject. Their teaching way doesn't trouble students. It is said that 75 percent attendance is compulsory whereas, in real time, it is not. Most of the time, 40-50 percent of the class is absent. Faculty members are good and punctual. They teach well and give special attention to every student.

Other: Faculty is good and some senior lecturers are very knowledgeable and experienced. Loved the 5 years spent here with friends. Facilities are average but since it is in a busy business locality, there are good places to chill. After 12th, attendance and involvement of professors in tutoring is less. That is because many students enrol other courses like CA along with college. So it is in a way good thing. However, I am writing about my college after 10 years and there will be lot of changes after I left. It is better to check other reviews also which maybe recent. The crowd well particularly mixed and not belonging to any specific community or class.
