BVDU School of Distance Education (SDE), was established by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU). It is located in Pune and is approved by the Distance Education Council and Government of India. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited with an “A” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The School offers UG, PG and diploma programmes under the Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences & Commerce, Faculty of Management Studies and Faculty of Law. It has more than 100 assistant and associate professors.
It comprises 10 learning and support centres that are located across New Delhi, Pune, Navi Mumbai, Kolhapur, Solapur, Karad and Sangli. These centres provide coaching to students through quality self-learning material, contact classes, e-learning through video conferencing among others. These centres offer subject-specific and general academic counselling to students by means of tutoring, special seminars, library facilities, assignments for evaluation and tutor comments. BVDU School of Distance Education Admission Process
At present, the School offers 11 programmes under three departments. The programmes offered by this School are BA, BCom, BBA, BCA, MA, MCom, MSW, MBA, MBA Executive, MCA and diploma in several specialisations of Law. Admission to all these programmes is conducted under the guidance of BVDU Pune. Eligible candidates need to apply online through the official website of the School. - Admission to all UG, PG and diploma courses is done on merit-basis
- Candidates, who have completed Class 12 from a recognised board, can apply for UG courses
- A candidate must have completed graduation in the relevant stream to apply for any of the PG and diploma programmes

BVDU School of Distance Education Courses
At the UG level, the School offers BA, BCom, BBA and BCA programmes with a course duration of three years. At the PG level, it offers MA, MCom, MSW, MBA, MBA Executive and MCA programmes. The duration of MCA is three years, whereas other PG courses have a duration of two years. Apart from these courses, the Faculty of Law offers diploma in six specialisations with a course duration of one year. Admission to all these programmes is merit-based.
