Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026

Best for working students and has supportive environment.
Placements: I am pursuing a B.Com at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, Delhi University, under the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB). In our batch, about 30 to 40% of students secured jobs through various drives and external support. The highest package offered is around 4.5 LPA, the lowest is close to 1.8 LPA, and the average package is around 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: College offers solid facilities for NCWEB students. Classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated. Wi-Fi is accessible on campus. The library has a strong collection of books for B.Com students. Since NCWEB students attend classes only on weekends, there are no hostel facilities. However, campus includes a canteen, clean restrooms, and basic medical support. They also organize sports and cultural events.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They explain concepts well. B.Com curriculum is mostly theoretical, but it covers relevant topics. Exams have a moderately difficult level and require regular study. The pass percentage is generally good, around 85 to 90%, if you attend classes and prepare consistently.
Other: I chose B.Com because it provides a solid foundation in commerce and finance. The best part is the flexibility NCWEB offers for working or exploring other interests. However, I wish there were more practical sessions and support for placements. Campus is safe. Events like seminars and cultural festivals are organized sometimes.

Pretty satisfied with staff, crowd, and curriculum. However, improvements can be made.
Placements: The placement cell is active but not many companies come to visit as it is an office campus college. However, some opportunities are available. Students are encouraged to look for jobs on their own as on-campus placements are not reliable. There are job fairs conducted but they aren't the most effective.
Infrastructure: Well-built classes and buildings are there with good ambiance and aesthetics. Wi-Fi could be improved as the connection is not good. The canteen is good with good food for affordable prices. The library has a vast collection of books with great infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and experienced. The admin office is helpful but rude. Exams are according to Delhi University and the curriculum is relevant. Teachers do put a lot of emphasis on CA and IA. Delhi University curriculum is followed closely. Overall, I am satisfied.
Other: As for an office campus college, it is pretty good, teachers are helpful, and the ambiance is great. The crowd varies from both extremes however good friends can be found. The fest is nothing extraordinary but not bad. Overall, the college is great for an office campus college and is overall worth the money.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the crowd and placements.
Placements: About 15-20% of students get placed. The average package ranges between 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA. The placement cell does not work that efficiently. Some companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, etc., come for placements. Roles offered are not that good. Even good students are not able to get placed because of the number of companies that come for placements. I am dissatisfied with placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: There isn't any hostel. The campus infrastructure is outdated. The computer labs are not well-maintained. Laptops and computers are outdated. Most of them do not work. Most of the washrooms do not have any water supply. The library is not well-maintained. Most of the books are torn and old. The canteen facility is also very poor. There is a lack of cleanliness and hygiene. The benches and desks are also very old and broken. Most of the classroom windows are broken. The walls are not well-maintained. There are insects found in the canteen food every other day.
Faculty: Teachers are nice and helpful. They are ready to help at any time. The course gets completed on time. The curriculum is followed by Delhi University. Delhi University conducts two semesters in a year. The exam level is medium. It is not that hard. You get to choose your minor subjects.
Other: If you are going to appear for any civil service examination or stuff and you don't care much about your college life, you can opt for this college. There is no college life. The crowd here is worse. The infrastructure could be better. The office staff members are very rude and no work is done. It is an off-campus college and you need to visit the north campus to get any official work done.

Our college provides good infrastructure, and social life but has rude admin office members.
Placements: Our college is not that good in placements. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA. I am not satisfied with the placements but it's all about government college. It's DU, so the hype is all about it. The college should work on the recruitment and internships.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are fine. The infrastructure is good. Hostel facility is not provided. Otherwise, the campus is beautiful. There are many things to explore. There is a network issue on campus. The food served in the canteen is quite good and affordable. You must go for it. Hygiene is maintained. The lab is good with an air-conditioned facility.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Administration office members are a bit short-tempered. The difficulty level of exams is moderate. Students need to focus on their studies and in the classrooms to score well in exams. Almost 65% of attendance is mandatory.
Other: I got good information for my social life by joining different societies on campus.

Satisfied with the Infrastructure but heartbroken by the placement approach.
Placements: I was a Non-Collegiate student there through NCWEB and pursued a B.Com programme. Amazon did the campus drive there for the Customer Support Executive profile. They gave equal chances to all the students there were multiple grounds for the same. Many students got placed in around 3 to 4 LPA packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good, I loved the way they decorated the grounds and the entrance. There were a lot of varieties of flowers, I used to roam in the grounds, Canteen was good and the food was awesome, There was a Library but that was for regular students only, we had a single room where few of the books were available that was related to our course. Our exam pattern is the same as the regular students, and even the syllabus are same, but the facilities and perks are different for us.
Faculty: The teachers were quite good, the course is helpful and makes us industry ready as it covers all the aspect of market, economy, and business. The best part is courses and syllabus are the same for the regular students and Non-Collegiate students. That's useful for us.
Other: I guess, they should introduce more courses related to business and entrepreneurship, and by keeping that thing more and more. Events or Activities should be organized so that students can realise their true potential.

It is a good and safe college.
Placements: Our seniors got placed with good jobs, but they are not fully satisfied with them.
Infrastructure: Our college is the best in terms of infrastructure. We have a lift in the new building. The library is good. All fans and lights in every classroom are working properly. Our canteen provides a variety of food items. It is the best.
Faculty: All faculty members are average. They just try to wind up the whole syllabus at the end of the semester. Professors are good. They will teach you by the half of the semester and in the rest, you can revise.
Other: You should maintain your attendance. Our college will call your parents for short attendance.

Shyama Prasad Mukherjee college is very good.
Placements: I was from B.Com prog and batch was good and all were very helpful and kind. My batch has approximately 200 students. Teachers were also kind and helpful and highly educated. No bullying its ragging free campus. 85% students were placed in the highest paid famous companies like Nestle, flipkart. Minimum package will be 8 Lacs and the highest will be 15-20 Lacs. Roles offered Human resource, sales executive etc.
Infrastructure: Canteen is quite cheap and quality is very good. Open cafeteria and coffee is very good. Availability of good quality drinking water. Library classrooms all infrastructure is very good. Washroom were clean and hygienic. Wi-Fi is also available and air conditioner in every class room.
Faculty: Teachers are very good in nature and highly educated. They are sweet and kind in behaviour. They knows how to handle students in right manner. Pass percentage of my course is always good. And if you attend classes and make good notes will surely pass the exams.

I am satisfied with faculty members.
Placements: Every student passed examinations but no one got internships as it was only for regular students. Internship opportunities should be provided for NCWEB students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was average for NCWEB students as they were not allowed to enter other rooms which were for regular students. Canteen was good but served less variety of food items. There was only one canteen in the whole college.
Faculty: A few faculty members in our college were helpful and told students about the course and that students should opt for a better future. Exams were easy. Students can use guides to prepare for exams because sometimes, questions are the same as in the guide.
Other: Campus life was good but they could offer more.
