SVC will always have a very special place in my heart!

Placements: Ashok Leyland, Tata Power, PwC, and American Express are some of the recruiting names. Nearly 100 companies visit here for placements. The highest placement in the previous year was around 16 LPA. and it was a B.Com (Hons) student who got that. Overall, the placements at SVC are also amazing, and percentage-wise it is one of the best in Delhi University for placements.

Infrastructure: Our campus has both boys' and girls' hostels. The best part of the hostels is that both hostels are allotted purely on merit. There are around 4-5 blocks in all and also a spacious canteen. Our college campus also has a Maggi point. A much-needed medical room along with two spacious seminar halls and a sports room makes our college fully equipped.

Faculty: We have very cooperative teachers. Some students who have come from different fields like Science and have switched to Commerce are given extra classes and attention. My reason for choosing this course was simple, as accountancy and economics both are something which I wanted to learn after 10th, and our course teaches us both.

Other: Along with societies and clubs, many NGOs are also working in our college. Nexus is our annual fest, which is held mostly in February or March every year.

Amazing faculty and crowd, top-class societies, but infrastructure can be improved.

Placements: As per my course, B.Com (Hons.), 30-40% of students get placed. The highest placement is 22 LPA. The average is 6 LPA. Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG are the top recruiters of our college. 200 students got internships, including students from the B.Com programme. Top roles could be Assistant Research Analyst, Financial Analyst, etc.

Infrastructure: My college provides comfortable classrooms and an air-conditioned library. There is a well-maintained botanical garden for students. ICT labs are also well-maintained and air-conditioned. We have medical rooms and a sports arena. Hostels also have separate AC reading rooms for girls and boys. The canteen of our college is hygienic.

Faculty: Teachers are quite friendly and approachable. They use engaging teaching methods in the classroom. I think the curriculum is not up to modern-day skill requirements. But still, teacher support beyond the syllabus helps students in their careers. Semester exams are moderate.

Other: I chose Venky because of its corporate structure. SVC has many societies, and among them, two are international: 180 DC and IFSA. Our college organizes one of the best fests of DU, Nexus. But I think the infrastructure can be improved to bear Delhi weather. During the rainy season, water gets clogged in front of the gate, and it is quite difficult to sit without AC in the summer season.

Overall nice campus, crowd, and societies. But the attendance criteria are strict.

Placements: I just got into my 3rd year so I have not applied for placements yet. So I don't know much about it. Placements are nice. Many seminars have also been conducted at the college. Many good companies visit the college for their placement procedures.

Infrastructure: I love the infrastructure of the college. It's open, not congested, very clean, and beautiful. The washrooms are also very big and clean all the time which is good for girls. The classrooms during summer are very hot. There are dustbins placed everywhere.

Faculty: Teachers of the core subjects are very strict. They do not allow delayed submission even when students have completed it. They are very demeaning towards the ECA students. Some teachers are nice and supportive. They help students in SEC and VAC.

Other: The campus crowd is nice. The fest and events are also nice. Recently, a farewell party for 3rd-year students was also conducted in the college. Most of the societies are highly active.

Good placements, exposure, and fests in this college.

Placements: I will say the placement in this college is fine. Around 30-40 percent of students from my course got placements. The highest package in the year 2024-2025 was 22 LPA, the lowest package was 5 LPA, and the average package was 6 LPA-7 LPA. Top companies that come for placement are Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, and Brain and Company. Around 10-20 percent of students from my batch got internships in Deloitte, Brain, and McKinsey. The Top roles offered are Audit Assistant, Junior Associate, Data Analyst, and Business Analyst.

Infrastructure: Our college has a good computer lab which is equipped with AC. Along with a two-floor library with thousands of books from different fields. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college it works pretty well. The canteen of our college is open and has an open seating area offering quality food at affordable prices. We have a big ground which has a basketball court, badminton court, and a football court.

Faculty: The teachers of our course are very well qualified and knowledgeable. Not all teachers are supportive but a few of them are really very supportive. The curriculum is relevant to some extent but I personally feel it's outdated. I advise students to build relevant skills with the course. Semester exams are manageable with one month before the exams. Most of the questions come from PYQs. It is easy to pass and score. More than 90 percent of the students pass.

Other: I have an interest in finance and accounting. The best thing about this course is that it gives in-depth knowledge of accounting, management, economics, and finance. Trend skills could be added in this course like financial modelling, AI, and the stock market. Our college organises one of the largest fest of Delhi University which is NEXUS. The crowd of college is very good, surrounded by aesthetic people, vibrant students, and serious people.

My experience is good at SVU.

Placements: The placement cell was very active and gave internship as well as job opportunities. Companies that have come were Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, etc. The highest package is above 10LPA. The placement cell gave training to students to clear interviews and conducted a drive to guide.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was spacious and modern. It had a library for students to access resources, and also a garden and greenery. It has 3 blocks in total. It also had a smart board facility. The canteen food was also very tasty and affordable for students.

Faculty: The faculty was great and very helpful. They provided notes and ppts. They taught on the blackboard. They were approachable and always solved doubts in the last moment of exams, also. Many professors hold a Ph.D. degree and graduated from good colleges and schools. Overall, the teachers were nice.

Good faculty and extracurricular activities. The hostel is also pretty good.

Placements: Our college placement cell helps us get internships and placements regularly. We get companies like Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG, etc., hiring from our college. The highest package from our college is 22 LPA. The placement cell gets you a lot of opportunities.

Infrastructure: Recently, our college has constructed a new building. The classes in the new buildings are really good compared to the old building. The hostel rooms are also decent, and the mess food is good. The hostel fee is around Rs. 50000 for a quarter, and the capacity is 300 students.

Faculty: The teachers are extremely qualified and good at teaching. Most of them are very helpful and clearly solve any doubts. We receive regular projects and assignments throughout the year. The course curriculum is average, a few things are pretty outdated.

Other: I am enrolled in the B.Com (Hons) course. The fee for my course is around Rs. 25000, which is pretty affordable compared to other colleges. There are also a lot of events in my college and the annual fest.

Life at Venky. Satisfied with some bad colleges in DU South, except SRCC.

Placements: This year, only 40% of students got placed, as some of the students are preparing for competitive exams. The average placement package is 4 to 5 LPA, and the highest was 14 LPA. Recruiter from Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture, etc. Come to our college at campus recruitment, and they offer internships and placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in the new building compared to the old building, but still, the infrastructure is good compared to other colleges. 6 fans in a room, and some even have AC and Wi-Fi availability. My fav is Canteen, the food is tasty and affordable, and if you are a sports person, then Venky is for you. The badminton, tennis, basketball court, and even a football ground.

Faculty: Some teachers are really helpful and approachable, but some of them are very rude and dont even listen to the students. B.Com Hons is the most famous course among the students, and I think it is more practical than theoretical. Tally, MS Excel, and computer software make it even more interesting.

Other: Well, I think the best thing about Venky is the annual fest of it, NEXUS, the most famous fest among the DU colleges. Fest season is the most favorite part of campus life here. College societies are also the best part of campus life, people here are very friendly and approachable, and they make you feel at home.

Placements: Placement of the college is pretty good. If you are actively participating in other activities and building your CV, you will definitely get a better package. The average package is 7 LPA - 9 LPA. The highest salary is 23 LPA. Top companies like Deloitte and Zomato recruit most of the time.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good for B.Com (Hons). Classrooms are well-maintained, and the benches are of good quality. Campus is well-equipped with Wi-Fi facilities. Library is also good. The books are always available for issue, and labs are also in good condition.

Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing.
