Academically, the college seems risky, but it is worth doing, as it shapes us better for our future.

Placements: Nearly 45-50% of students get placed in our class. The highest package is around 8.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, etc. 80% of students got internships. Top roles like assistant software engineer and system engineer are offered here.

Infrastructure: Classrooms, labs, and all other infrastructure are good. Students feel really relaxed with this setup. Lab and all other availabilities are satisfactory. Drinking water, Wi-Fi, electricity, air-conditioners, and everything are well-maintained. I do not stay in the hostel, so I don't know much about it.

Faculty: Lecturers are friendly and helpful. Most of them are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality on average is 70%. The course curriculum seems a bit of out from track, but it helps during interviews. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult, and they can be passed easily. I am not sure about the pass percentage.

My thoughts about SIT.

Placements: Around 45% of our classmates are placed. The highest package is 8 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA, with top recruiting companies including TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini. About 20 members received internship offers from Nagar Kudelski, BNP Paribas, State Street, Qrem Solutions, Acelucid, and others. The most common roles offered are data analyst and assistant software engineer.

Infrastructure: I am not sure about the hostel. However, the college's infrastructure is satisfactory. It has good Wi-Fi, although the speed is better when connected via LAN rather than wireless. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors, screens, lighting, and fans. The library has a good collection of books.

Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, helpful, and qualified. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is somewhat relevant and includes helpful hands-on projects. Exams are strict and monitored but are not difficult if you are well-prepared. Overall, it’s a good experience.

The college has provided good placements in 2024-2025.

Placements: In SIT Tumkur, our batch saw a 60-70% placement rate. The highest package is 8.6 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters were TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini. Most students secured internships through MOUs and similar agreements. The training and placement cells did a wonderful job.

Infrastructure: he facilities and infrastructure for our course or department are top-notch. We have unlimited Wi-Fi, clean classrooms with projectors, very sophisticated labs with new systems, and a library with unlimited access using your college ID card. I do not live in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is excellent. The course curriculum is very relevant; it prepares students for the industry with in-demand technologies. Semesters and syllabi are designed to match individual capacity.

Other: I chose this course because it is the best option for placements around Tumkur. The best features of the course are the syllabus and teaching. I do not have anything I wish to change or improve about my course.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Batch 23, MCA companies like Tata, Kyndryl, Accenture, LTI Mindtree, and Infosys, came to our college for placements. Many students, often around 70% to 85%, secured internships. These were typically with companies similar to those that offered final placements, such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture, giving students valuable real-world experience before graduation.

Infrastructure: Good Wi-Fi, classrooms, lectures, and everything was good. Access to basic medical aid on campus, often through a health center with a visiting doctor or nurse, was critical. For more serious conditions, colleges usually had tie-ups with nearby hospitals for emergency care.

Faculty: Good teaching, course curriculum made students ready for industry. Exams were good. They usually balanced theoretical questions with practical problem-solving scenarios. If students attend classes regularly, study the provided notes, and practice, the exams are generally considered manageable.

Our college has good infrastructure, good placements and internships were offered in 2019.

Placements: Placements in our college were good, and even for our seniors batch also, most of them got placed in reputed corporate companies. This year, the highest package was offered to the BE course students and around 13 Lacs per year, and the average package was around 5 LPA. Most of the BE students got placed in good companies, but for the MA students, there were few opportunities, but still, we have used at most of the extent. Many companies, like TCS, Mindtree, NetCrackers, HID, Societe general, etc., visited our college. Most of the roles offered to the students like software engineering trainee, associates, software testing roles, etc.. Most of the MA students got internships in reputed companies like HID, Societe general, Fiserv, etc. The highest stipend offered was 25,000 per month during the 6-month internship. Our MA department HOD Dr MA Jayaram sir was very supportive for providing the internships to the MA final semester students. Almost every student got internships. Our college has separate placement cell exclusive for SIT students, and our placement department was very supportive in providing job opportunities for the students.

Infrastructure: Our college was spread over 65 acres of land, and it has the best infrastructure with outdoor sports facilities like cricket, football, etc., It has the best classrooms with good projectors in every class. Every department has a well-known seminar hall and a separate library. It also has one huge general library for all the students, and this library will be opened for 24 hours. Our college has the best canteen where good quality food is provided to the students, and the cost of the food is reasonable. It has separate hostels for girls and boys. Our college provides the best infrastructure for the students, which is not provided by any other colleges in Tumkur.

Faculty: Our MCA department has the best and knowledgeable faculty members. Almost every teacher has done with their Doctorate degree, and their way of teaching to the students was excellent. Every faculty member clears our doubts in a magnificent way, and they were very supportive in every field. Because of Our teachers, I got an internship in a well-known company Fiserv. Our department has 10 faculty members for around 50 students in one semester, and there is an efficient industry exposure to the students in our department. I strongly suggest doing your masters in our college.

Other: All the students were getting scholarships around 30,000 to 35,000 per year. Our college organises Halcyon fest every year, and our department organises summer fest for the computer stream students.
