Student perspective about Silicon University, Bhubaneswar.
Placements: According to the 2026 placement report, 75% of B.Tech students are placed. The highest package is 30.3 LPA, the lowest is 3.6 LPA, and the average package for B.Tech students is 5 LPA. Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, IBM, and Marquee Semiconductor are the top recruiting companies. University offers 263 internships in 2026, and many students complete internships through the Practice School Programme. Top roles include Software Developer, System Engineer, Data Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Silicon is quite good. Our classrooms are neat and clean and equipped with projectors. The campus has Wi-Fi, and the central library is one of the best places for study. It has a good collection of books, journals, and digital resources. Labs are well maintained and have the necessary equipment for practical work. The hostel facilities are comfortable, with clean rooms and a safe environment. The mess food is hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and have good knowledge about engineering studies. They explain concepts clearly. The course curriculum is good and covers both theory and practical learning. Semester exams are moderate. Students who prepare well can easily clear the papers, and the overall pass percentage is high.
Other: I chose this course because it matches my interests and offers good opportunities. Practical learning is the best thing about our course. I think more industry visits and live projects would make the course better. The campus organizes a tech fest named Nirman and a cultural fest named Zygon. The campus is well connected.

Silicon University - A new step towards a dream.
Placements: Almost 90 percent of students are placed in our branch. Currently, the highest package expected in our branch is 28 LPA, the lowest package goes for 3.6 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA to 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Mindtree, Deloitte, etc. Around 60 to 70 percent of students got internship opportunities. Software engineer or system engineer is the most prominent role offered in our course.
Infrastructure: The facilities are pretty good. The classrooms are well-organised with Wi-Fi and AC as well as pretty good infrastructure. The library is also good in terms of availability of Wi-Fi facilities, books, as well as separate discussion rooms. There are 4 hostels, of which 3 are for boys, and 1 is for girls. Hostels are associated with Wi-Fi, badminton courts, and personal desks and study tables, which are its best features. Medical facilities are also good, and the college consists of 2 basketball courts, 2 outdoor badminton courts, one cricket ground, a football ground, kabaddi, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, they are pretty good at clarifying subjects and doubts. There are plenty of faculty members to maintain the convenience of understanding the concepts. The curriculum is maintained according to the learning capacity of the student, which ultimately leads to building a student's career for industry-ready. The semester exams are not so difficult if studied well, since achieving 9 CGPA is pretty easy if studied well along with carrying out co-curricular activities.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about this domain, and the best thing about this is that if you crack the logic, then everything becomes magic for you. If you want to improve, then try to practice and learn every day since growth is key to success.

An opportunistic balance of academics and placements.
Placements: It has a good placement forum with good-sector companies like Deloitte, Haber, TCS, and Infosys taking up students for jobs. This college has a PS programme of giving hands-on experience to students in their 4th year. The placement process starts at the end of the 3rd year itself.
Infrastructure: Although I am not a hostelite from what I have heard from many students the hostel environment and facilities are fairly comfortable. However as I have heard from many students the food quality can be improved as it has become their daily staple now like wanting a proper meal after a hectic class.
Faculty: There is indeed a good balance of skill learning and theoretical classes. Also getting assignments and projects is an inevitable process here. Overall the exams are also conducted in a strict manner adhering to all the rules and regulations and even having proper examination halls curated for students. The structure of the course is related to skill improvement as well as the necessary subjects needed for placement and GATE. The subjects are relevant to industry requirements and students are encouraged to improve their technical as well as problem-solving skills.

Good infrastructure but not enough for students doing engineering.
Placements: We have just passed the 1st year now, but the placement rate is average in Silicon, to be honest. The highest package is 37 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. Many students from the college got good internships, like in local companies as well as in Amazon and Flipkart.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is given in labs and classrooms but not in hostels. Library and lawn everywhere Wi-Fi is there. AC classrooms are there with Wi-Fi. All amenities are given in the hostel but not the Wi-Fi. Students are facing many problems due to this only. Study hour is maintained inside the campus, for which, from 6 to 9, no student is allowed to roam outside.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, cooperative, and understanding. Internships as well as courses are making us industry-ready. Questions really are not that hard but not easy, like it's a good question set. Questions are not really tough for students who actually study, but for those who don't, actually.
Other: The CSE branch of Silicon is famous for its placement and package, so I chose it. It would be better if Wi-Fi were given to hostels because students have to move to either the library or the lawn to access it. Connectivity between students is good, and the seniors are helpful.

Good infrastructure of hostels and classrooms, and clean surroundings.
Placements: 70 to 80% placement Package 8 Lack to 24 Lack per annum and many of the companies like wipro tata naada and may other companies you can attend the seminars ehich give you some brief information about the company and you will able to get the information what things you are going to face un future.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good and you can enjoy a lot. Free Wi-Fi is also available, and you can gain a lot of knowledge. The library is also there, which is a very peaceful and silent place where you can read books, and there are many magazines, so you can learn a lot.
Faculty: 40% is the pass percentage, and papers are not much tougher. You can score with little effort; you can get handwritten notes from the seniors, and you can clarify your doubts, too. There are some optional subjects and some credit subjects. I prefer to focus more on credit subjects.
Other: Many events take place, and you can take part. There are also cash prizes available.

Strict about academics and good placement record.
Placements: 80% of students got placed last year. The average package was 5–6 LPA. After every semester, a summer internship is compulsory for every student. An aggregate of 8 CGPA is needed to sit for placements. The level of exams is moderate. Some top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is small, and the infrastructure is good according to the campus size. Hostel rooms are clean and spacious.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and very helpful and cooperative. The teaching quality is good. The mid-term is conducted before the end-term, which is of 20 marks. Then the end-term is conducted, which is 50 marks. There are 10 marks for attendance and 20 marks for teacher assessment, making a total of 100 marks.
Other: Two events (fests) are held throughout the year one is Zygon during February-March, and another is Rhythm Nova during November-December. Many seminars and club-related interactions are done. There are many engaging clubs. Many clubs are there, such as the Mera Academics Club, Switch Club, IEEE Club, Robotics Club, and Creative Club. Many activities are arranged for students on a daily basis.
