A pass in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of  Chemistry/ Biotechnology /Biology /Computer Science /Computer Application/ Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category is required to apply for BTech course. For some courses at Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT), direct admission is an option. For instance, direct admission is available for the BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management) programme, which is based on the results of the MAKAUT CET (Common Entrance Test).
