Average faculty members, good placements in 2024, average infrastructure, and disgusting canteen.

Placements: The highest package is 52 LPA by Microsoft. It is an off campus placement. TCS hires students almost every year with an average package of 6 LPA, I suppose. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, Capgemini, and HCL Technologies. Overall placement is 80% guaranteed. Best role offered is data analyst.

Infrastructure: Our college has decent Wi-Fi. Classrooms don't have air-conditioning system. Few of the labs have air conditioning but they don't work. Library books are old and outdated, and not in accordance with the latest syllabus. Even the library does not have air conditioning. Canteen is very unclean, and unhealthy foods are served. Speaking of medical services, they don't have any medicine on standby for emergencies. Sports and games consist mostly of indoor games.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but they are averagely qualified. Teaching quality is not as expected. Curriculum should be focused on practical learning rather than just mugging up a huge load of theory books. I don't understand why economics is included in the CSE setup syllabus. Exams are very irrelevant. It is natural because they don't even teach to that level and expect us to learn them all by ourselves.

Good placement in 2024, really good campus, and good faculty.

Placements: In the year 2024, a 92 % placement record was seen with an average CTC of 6 LPA and a median of 5 LPA. 51 LPA was the highest CTC acquired that year and the highest ever by Microsoft ( off campus ). 24 LPA was the highest CTC acquired on campus. For 25 years, SIT has been providing jobs to students, and they have done it really well.

Infrastructure: The college provides us with a lush green campus and excellent infrastructure. Air conditioning is provided in all the labs with all the equipment in fine condition. The college has one central library and a digital library. Wi-Fi is available all over campus. Cheap and good quality food is found in the canteen.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are PhD holders with excellent knowledge about their field. The teachers will guide you through every step. The course curriculum is made to understand the current market, with the thought of making the student industry-ready. Each semester consists of 4 central assessment exams to keep the students ready for the end of the semester. The end semesters are easy to crack if consistency is maintained.

Other: There are a lot of clubs and extracurricular activities taking place every year. The college provides opportunities to open a new club anytime. Yearly fest, singing competitions, quiz, internal hackathons and much more. Talking about sports, we have cricket tournaments, football tournaments, badminton tournaments, basketball tournaments and much more. The campus consists of 4 blocks, the engineering department, a block for first year, business and nursing college and the Master's college. 3 canteens, a football field, a basketball court and a volleyball court.

All you need to know about SIT.

Placements: Talking about campus placement, SIT has a very good record in B.Tech. Tech companies like TCS and P360 give mass recruitment to students. Almost all skilled students are placed according to their CGPA, records, and skills. Several other companies also visit, like Flipkart. There are students who get placed in big companies like Microsoft and Amazon via off-campus placements.

Infrastructure: The college doesn't provide hostel facilities, but there are several good PGs and rented apartments available nearby, the college. They also provide 3 meals a day and free Wi-Fi. Talking about the college lab infrastructure, it is sufficiently good. Labs are clean, and desktops are well-managed.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are too good. They provide help with everything you need, starting from semester exams to internship requirements, teachers are always there for you. Regarding semester exams, they are not very tough unless you haven’t studied throughout the semester. One can easily get marks through attendance and internal marks.

Other: I choose B. Tech in CSE because it is a well-known degree for the past few decades, and in this age of globalization and industrialization, I believe my degree is completely worth it.

In this college, the placement percentage is very low so we only have to work hard.

Placements: Our college offers placements. About 50% of students get placed in my course. The highest package was 51 LPA in 2022. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Deloitte, etc. The role offered in our course is software engineer. A very low amount of students get internships from our college like 30-40%.

Infrastructure: The college has different kinds of labs, workshops, and machines. But it's not that all machines or laptops are working. The college washrooms are dirty and the college Wi-Fi does not work. We have a library in which we have a large amount of books. Programs are held every year like sports in which the college has only one ground and all basic sports equipment.

Faculty: Some teachers are good and some teachers are below average. Some teachers teach us at a high level and take good care of us. Some teachers just care about themselves. The B.Tech course is about coding but during the first year, we have to study subjects other than computer science. Semester exams are tough and the pass percentage is only 40%.

Other: The campus life and fests are good. We get enough opportunities to participate in different programs and hackathons. Seniors are very helpful and friendly.

If have a problem with money and want a good college then you can consider it otherwise just don't.

Placements: College claims that their placement rate is 92% but that is wrong. Max to Max 60% will placed during placement sessions. You have to rely on off-campus placement. They claim 51 LPA is their highest package but that is also off-campus. It is very hard to get an internship here you have to try hard on your own.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is below average the college campus is too small. Wi-Fi is the worst and even the mobile network doesn't work properly on the campus. Classrooms are okay but the board is very cheap smartlab is also very old. There are no hostel facilities here you have to stay in PG which is widely available around the college. Canteens are good they provide good quality meals at very low prices. Don't expect too much from the sports department it is very poor.

Faculty: The course curriculum is 60 years old no new things added. Professors are helpful but also they are not that good at teaching. You have to study on your own. Semester exams are too good they are difficult and guarding is also good. If you work hard to excel in your skills and stay in touch with your professors you will get good placement and good grades too.

SIT- A hidden gem in the lap of North Bengal.

Placements: In our course, the percentage of students who got placed is nearly about 90%. The highest salary package offered by Microsoft last year was 51 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5.5 LPA. Top recruiters of our college are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture, P360, and many more. There are a good amount of students who secured internships from our college but that depends upon students themselves.

Infrastructure: There are no hostel facilities in our college. During COVID-19, hostel facilities of our college are topped. Coming to the part of facilities and infrastructure of our course. For B.Tech, there is a main building and a desh building which is generally known as 1st year building. Each building has separate Wi-Fi services on separate floors so that no one could face connectivity issues. They are a basic electrical engineering lab, physics lab, chemistry lab, drawing hall, and AutoCAD room in 1st year building. Also, there is a central library in the center of our campus.

Faculty: Teachers who are in charge of our course are highly qualified and skillful in the field of teaching. They go from bench to bench after completing any topic to ask every student if they are okay with the topic or not. Course curriculum is directly relevant. The vision of our college is to make the students prepare for the industry 4.0. Our college is affiliated with MAKAUT University so the difficulty level of the semester exams depends on the university itself.

Other: From childhood, I was determined to take Computer Science and Engineering and for this particular reason I took WBJEE exam but my rank was 19000. In this rank, I was unable to get into any government college as the fees of private colleges are too high. In this college, I received the TFW for which my whole tuition fee was reduced so I chose this college and this course. There are several events conducted in our college like the social fest, tech fest, annual sports, and many more.

Placements: I opted for a B.Tech in computer science and engineering. I am in my 1st year. This year, a huge percentage of students got placed in the passing out batch. Many worldwide recruiters like TCS, Wipro, P360, Amazon, and Capgemini recruit students from our college. This year, the highest salary package offered in our course is 56 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 9 LPA - 10 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our course offers a wide range of facilities. We have a central library that offers a large variety of books, novels, and articles of different genres. Our classrooms are equipped with smart boards for a more interactive learning session. Our campus is also well-equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi. We have a physics lab, a chemistry lab, a graphic lab, a cultural lab, and a coders lab. In the field of sports and games, our college has a football ground, basketball court, badminton and tennis court and many indoor games. Our college has a central canteen which provides quality food items at affordable prices.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are excellent. Each teacher has immense knowledge and experience in their respective fields. They have their unique style of teaching. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite difficult but also effective at the same time.

Other: I chose this course because I have a determination to learn about technology and want to contribute to advancing the world. Our college conducts many events and fests. Last month, our college celebrated the silver jubilee ceremony, and it was fun. Our college conducts internal hackathons also.

The Bitter-Sweet Diaries.

Placements: 70% plus students get placed every year. The highest package is 51 LPA by Microsoft and the lowest can be 8 LPA. Amazon, Microsoft, Cognizant, Dell, McAfee, TCS, Intel, etc. The college doesn't restrict us much with internships; we can apply on our own. Roles are Software Engineer, Product Manager, and Developer.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available everywhere. The classrooms are spacious but lack smart classes. The library is big and has a separate reading section and book bank with a variety of books. There are 4 cafeterias available on campus, which have affordable, hygienic food that's also good in taste.

Faculty: The teachers are friendly, highly qualified, and have 10 plus years of experience. The course curriculum is given to us at the start of the semester, and teachers do their best to help us through it. The college also provides special soft skills classes to further prepare us for the industry. It also has special project-based training every semester with certification. Each semester has 4 continuous assessments, each worth 25 marks. The exams are really challenging and have strict invigilation with CCTVs.
