Good placements & vibrant campus needs better infrastructure and faculty engagement.

Placements: 70% percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 45 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the Average package is 6.5 LPA. Top recruiters are Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Deloitte, Accenture, IBM, Google, Lenskart, HCL, Samsung, Salesforce, DBS, and Tech Mahindra. Average stipend is INR 41,970/month. The maximum stipend is INR 80,000/month for AWS and CISCO.

Infrastructure: Civil 8 labs, Mechanical 14 labs, CSE 19 labs, ECE 26 labs, IT 10 labs, and others, including AI/ML, IoT, Cyber Security, Data Science, and S&H labs. A 500 kWp solar plant, since 2017, has covered substantial campus energy needs. SNIST offers separate hostels for boys and girls.

Faculty: Professors are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They make the learning experience very effective. The course curriculum is relevant and aligned with the industry needs. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and pass rates are generally good, reflective, and balanced. Pass percentage is 75%.

Other: I chose Information Technology because it offers the perfect balance between core computer Science concepts and their practical application in the real world. I was particularly drawn to the versatility of IT. Ranging from web and app development to cybersecurity, data analytics, cloud computing, and AI/ML. SNIST is a very good college. Events and fests are very well made in a grand way. Infrastructure needs to be improved. Classrooms are not proper, but the hostel facilities are good. Teaching quality is good, and teachers are helpful.

Great campus life with strong placements and supportive faculty, but needs more industry exposure.

Placements: I pursued my B. Tech in Information Technology from the 2023-2027 batch. Around 85 percent of the students from my course were placed through campus placements. The highest package offered was 22 LPA the lowest was around 3.5 LPA and the average stood at approximately 6.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS Infosys Wipro Deloitte Accenture Amazon and Cognizant. Nearly 70 percent of the students received internship opportunities in reputed companies like TCS Microsoft Capgemini and startups. Top roles offered were Software Development Engineer (SDE) Full Stack Developer Data Analyst and System Engineer.

Infrastructure: The department has well-equipped computer labs with high speed WiFi smart classrooms with projectors and access to a central digital library. The hostel facilities are decent with good cleanliness and security. Mess food is average but hygienic, and there are canteens and small food outlets inside the campus. Medical facilities are available 24/7 with an on-campus health center. Sports grounds and indoor games facilities like badminton and table tennis are also available and actively used by students.

Faculty: Faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable, with many holding PhDs in their respective fields. Most professors are approachable and helpful during project work and doubt sessions. Curriculum is quite relevant to industry needs and includes subjects like DSA, DBMS, AI/ML, and Web Development. Semester exams are moderately difficult, but students who attend regularly and prepare sincerely can easily pass. Average pass percentage is above 85%.

Candidate must have scored minimum mentioned marks in the subjects specified (PCM) taken together at 10+2 pattern.
