I found this university amazing in all aspects.

Placements: The university is well known for its placements and quality education. The university has tie-ups with many national as well as multinational companies. It also deals with the governmental body as we have Gujarat Energy Development Agency, and Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute in our university's premises. So, there is great scope for placements.

Infrastructure: Facilities and updated technology are provided. The campus is spread over 100 acres. All the classrooms are equipped with modern technology like A/Cs, CCTV cameras, projector and LCD screens. Food provided in the mess is very good, hygienic and tastes good. The hostel is too good, especially for postgraduates. The one in which I'm staying is PDPU High Rise Hostel.

Faculty: Faculty members are very humble. They are really helpful. Most of them are PhD holders. The course curriculum is really great as it provides academic knowledge as well as industry exposure. The college provides internships as well as international exposure programme.

PDPU, Gandhinagar: The Best One Can Get.

Placements: Companies like Hero Future Energies (for Design) and Prozeal Infra (for Project) have been recruiting till 2016 pass out batch but for us few more companies like Green Gain Energy and Prozeal Infra (for Project) and Hero Future Energies (for Design) have already recruited people before our final semesters. Though whole second year of our course we have internships at companies so most people get placed in those companies just after completing internships. For getting internship company at the end of first year (after 2nd semester), we have to try from our side first by getting in touch with the alumnies in companies like Azure Power, Vikram Solar, Waree, Topsun, etc.

Infrastructure: 1.Classrooms are big halls for atleast 100 people to have a sit in a semicircular inverted cone order so that all can focus to the lecture being conducted with central air conditioning,projector facilities like that u have seen in the movie "Three Idiots". 2.Sports and Games are an active part of the cirricullum for which there are ample facilities free of cost starting from lawn tennis,cricket,volley ball,basket ball,martial arts,athletics,throwing events,jumping events,kabaddi,kho-kho and football in outdoors to rubicube,chess,carrom and table tennis in indoors.Our university conducts inter university leagues for all of these games where each and every university all over India is free to participate with registration. 3.There is an in-house facility where medicine specialists and other doctors are available inside our campus with a medicine store attached to it that remains open 24X7. 4.The quality of labs is A-class, one of the best in our country specially for Petroleum technology,Solar Research and Development Wing and Seimens lab(for Mechanical manufacturing) with industrial experience doctoral faculties that help us give industry exposure than actually getting into a company. 5.The quality of food available in the cafeteria is also the best with the food inspected by an inspection team before it is served everyday four times breakfast,lunch, dinner,tea and dinner.The food for each session has to be taken within a particular time limit as mentioned in the canteen.Food available are of buffet type with items being numerous and being scuffled on different days of the week to cope with students coming from different states all over India. The plates in the canteen need to be disposed by the students themselves at a particular disposal place to ensure hygiene of the place and inculcate discipline in us.There are in-campus shops behind cafeteria where people could opt for more varieties if they dun lyk the cafeteria food but by paying money.The rate of the food and quality of the food behind are not inspected by anyone.One has to take those food by his own risk.I dint face any difficulties in one year of my stay related to hostel food,but different people have different taste and sensitivity.So stay on check. 6.There is central Wi-Fi for the college endorsed by Jio. The cyber cell of our university manages the domain and acts as the server to the same. 7.Two hostels are there UG and High Rise,The rooms in UG are spacious than High Rise

Faculty: 1. faculty members with minimum one Doctorate can be available in our Department. Though there are knowledgeable faculty members with more than one doctorates and that to from overseas universities, interacting with them is precious and worth memorable because they used to guide people with their experiences in research and industry with a calm and composed manner. 2. Digital teaching and manual teaching methods, both have been considered for better understanding of subjects. But classroom interaction plays a major part for the same along with lab trainings which helps us corelate the theory with the real system. 3. Though the course curriculum was research oriented in first semester but it slowly moved towards industrial side in the second semester when we were given exposure to move to our own 1MW solar plant in set up beside campus with our teachers sometimes and without them to make a full use of our course. 4. The student to faculty ratio is 1:2. Whole 2nd year of our M.Tech. Is to take industrial exposure where each one has to work on some company projects and have to give presentations on the proceedings whenever called by the department. 5. The course cirricullum follows more the future requirement in solar industry and the faculty members keep changing the same according to the industry needs with proper consultations with the students' background and convenience.
