Master of Global Business (MGB) - Batch of 2024
4.0
Remained as good option for studying.
Placements: The careers support provided by the college was so dedicated and helpful. Immediate solutions are suggested for the students from their side for every small fault. Approximately out of 150 graduates from the master of Global Business. 80% to 90% of students got placed in tied-up companies with moderate payout, and 6 students got placed in top-tier companies with amazing offers.
Infrastructure: The campus looks for students to create their own space to showcase their adorable talents. Unique arrangements are done by the college for the students of all the disciplines which simply starts with ID tags to campus placement. To create a pleasant feel, some green initiatives have been taken by management.
Faculty: Teachers remained as energy boosters for the students, and they are aimed at creating a comfortable learning space for the students. The teachers don't differentiate one student from another based on their academic backgrounds. And they simply believe the students and assign work to us to boost our skills.

It wasn't what we hope for.
Placements: The assurance and the reports provided by the college against placement activities were truly achieved upto 80 to 85%. In Initial days during orientation, college spoke about their placement success within and abroad. The packages were highly between INR 2.9 LPA to 5.7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The management of college was liberal, and its convenient to approach college guides for sorting out issues. Being a student of master in global business it's essential to dress ourselves in proper uniform. The college had developed a good response from the public.
Faculty: Faculty members were disheartened by their work, and they made us feel more irritated by their shouting and aggressive comments. This aggressive behaviour of teachers truly made us feel so low. Students won't approach them for help often. Exams marks were calculated in the form of grade systems.

Full time global business studies.
Placements: Master of Global Business is one of the leading courses in providing the highest offers in our organization. Some of the listed recruiters, like Grant Thornton and Trafigura, are offering the highest packages. Also, the very medium package would be above 5.2 LPA. And it's easier to grab offers from Singapore and Dubai.
Faculty: Teachers have a specific set of rules designed according to their convenience. They are enriched with knowledge and years of excellence, but consider this role as passing their everyday. Teachers mostly interrupted the unwanted discussions, which is slightly annoying.
Other: The most versatile and well-facilitated campus. To favour students and to encourage our academic interests, various scholarship schemes are initiated by the college. They showed a higher interest in grandly conducting the college events.

Master of Global Business.
Placements: Master of Global Business is one of the programs chosen by most students in the college of SP Jain School of Global Management while considering the placement records. Usually, the highest package offered by recruiters is basically between Rs. 80,000-1.20 USD. Half students got offers in international countries especially in Singapore.
Infrastructure: Zero chances for security breaches and other activities in the college. There is an enhanced level of security system at the entrance of the college campus, so outsiders can't be allowed inside without any acknowledgment. Even parents visit campus after undergoing proper security checkups.
Faculty: During the initial period of college, I was unable to understand the exam patterns, syllabus, college instructions, and so on, but my teachers calmly explained about it. Our college got accredited by various remarkable organizations such as TEQSA, KHDA, and ACCA which is high enough to speak about academic excellence.

What I learnt with my world tour of an MBA
Placements: Placements were decent, with 50% of the batch being placed before the program ended. Within 3 months, 100% batch was placed. It is a rolling placement, which means, as and when companies show interest, the Job Description is floated in the batch. There is no placement week as is traditionally present in Indian B school SPJSGM pushes candidates to also find a job on their own, just like universities abroad. The view here is that the education has made you self reliant and empowered you, getting a job is not the end goal.
Infrastructure: It has very well-maintained classrooms and hostels except for Dubai campus hostel location, everything was above average and worth it. Sydney hostels were the best. Meals are not part of the fee as it is the tradition in any university abroad. Library is top notch in all 3 campuses. Sports, Gym and gaming rooms are present in all 3 campuses.
Faculty: Faculty is mostly flown in from various parts of the world. Had the opportunity to learn from Professors from ISB, NTU and Macquarie University among others. Some brilliant in house faculty as well. Faculty still provides help, even after graduation. Teaching methods were not traditional. Use of technology is prominent in this school. E-books were used for 90% of the subjects, case studies, presentation method of teaching. We also had various industry visits in each of the cities- Singapore, Sydney and Dubai. The best outside classroom learning was through "Real World Skills" session held in Sydney which taught us more important skills- negotiation, networking etc.

Other: The college really stands in terms of the quality of the faculty which teaches here. Some of them are veterans in their subjects while some have been consultants for many big companies over their tenure. The teaching is case-based, on the basis of numerous simulations and of course the peer learning. Although, there are some flaws in the system, but the college is slowly gaining traction in terms of placements. The placements do continue till 2 to 3 months after graduation, but none from the previous batches have so far been left unplaced. It would be a good experience as one gets an exposure of studying in the 4 major hubs of the Asia-Pacific and the Middle-East region.

There are higher chances of getting offers in Dubai and Singapore.
Placements: The college insisted on common drives and common training. From the final semester, at least one company visited the campus for campus recruitment each week. The Master of Global Business program achieved the highest results with 88.3%. Aditya Birla Group, Goldman Sachs, and banks like HDFC, ICICI, and Axis Bank were common recruiters.
Infrastructure: The college was divided into various zones based on disciplines, and healthy competition arose between all disciplines in the technical and non-technical events conducted within the college. There was a specific similarity in the uniform provided to all disciplines, with slight differences. Everything was fine and good with the college.
Faculty: More commonly, teachers behaved as if they were in fight, flight, or freeze mode with students. Usually, they tried to escape from students' questions or behaved as if immobile in the moment. They did not respond properly but focused on good academic results, which we did not find justified.

Review of SP Jain School of Global Management.
Placements: The intern package offered to the students would be between 5000 and 17,600 per month. Salary pay out usually just between 2.89 to 27.8 Lacs per year. There will be a lack of coordination between the students and the placement charges which makes the placement performance so dull.
Infrastructure: As to have a glimpse of college looks it's not possible in a day. More possibly visitors can visit the campus during the day to inquire about the college. Not all the visitors were allowed inside the college when the semester started. It's truly a safe environment to study.
Faculty: Teachers are more determined to do their duties. They are consistent in their performance by producing good results. They completely understand the student's nature and assign work based on it. Teachers gave us the freedom to ask any doubts regarding the subject.
