Overall its a good campus. The only negative I felt is that there is no playground.
Placements: Am a 1st year Mechanical Engineer student. For my branch, around 20-40% of the students get placed, which is less compared to other branches. The average salary package for mechanical engineering will be around 6 to 8 LPA, whereas the highest would be around 12 LPA, and the lowest would be around 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Tata Elxsi, IBM, Oracle, EY, and several other IT-based companies that hire mechanical Engineers. About 50 - 60% of the students get internships from companies like Tata Elxsi, Accubits, TCS, Infosys, etc. Top roles include design engineer, Quality engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure facilities. This college has one of the largest mechanical workshops compared to other government colleges in Kerala. It has a good lab facility, a good classroom atmosphere, a library with a wide variety of books, clean washrooms, etc. The college canteen is small and doesn't have much variety of food, but the food that is provided is overall good. This college has active teams in almost every sports event, but there is no playground in the college, which is its biggest negative. The college doesn't have a hostel facility. But several hostels and rent house are available in the nearby locality.
Faculty: This is one of the few government colleges in Kerala where all the faculty of the Mechanical Engineering department hold a doctorate. Thus, the quality of faculty is very good. The course curriculum is based on KTU. The syllabus is updated every 4 years. The semester exams have become tougher in recent years. The pass percentage of students in the mechanical engineering batch is around 60%.
Other: The annual flagship cultural fest of the college is called Cult A Way. It's a grand event for which every SCTian is waiting. It's a 3-day event mainly taking place during the month of April or May. It's one of the biggest college cultural festivals in Kerala. The college has good placement records and a vibrant campus life.
Placements: The overall placement was 35 percent in 2024. The highest package is 34 LPA from a software/IT branch. The median package is 5.2 LPA for B.Tech. The average package is 4- 6 LPA for CS and ECE departments. The lowest package is 4 LPA. Recruitment is largely dominated by the IT sector. Although core electronics and design companies also visit. Top companies include TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, UST Global, Oracle, and Tata Elxsi. The college actively promotes and secures internships. Internship companies include Tata Elxsi, bTrizlabs, Accubits, and Infosys. Top roles include Software Engineer and Electronic Design Engineer.
Infrastructure: I am a day scholar. The ECE department is well-regarded for its laboratory facilities, with a focus on both core electronics and emerging fields. The college is equipped with a cutting-edge computer network and internet facility. There is a Central Computing Facility (CCF). Classrooms are generally well-maintained, and some are smart classes equipped with projectors. The Central Library is well-stocked, with a collection of over 30,000 books. A Digital Library is also available. The food in the canteen is cheap but not good. The overall campus area is relatively small, and the college lacks its own full-size grounds.
Faculty: Faculty, particularly in the ECE department, are highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated. Many holding degrees from reputed institutions like IITs and NITs. Faculty members are helpful. They are supportive, friendly, and approachable. The B.Tech curriculum is governed by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). The course curriculum is considered relevant. The university exams are moderate to difficult. There are usually two series exams before the semester-end exam, and the average of these marks contributes to the final internal assessment. The pass percentage was around 75 percent in 2024.

Absolutely satisfied here.
Placements: Above 40 percent of students are placed in our course. Average package is 8 LPA. Mainly Tata, Elix, other automobile companies, and industrial companies come for recruitment from our college. Above 60 percent of students got internships. It is a better college.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructural conditions for studying mainly for mechanical students. It consists of modern equipment using labs and good lab faculty members. More importantly, it only has a limited place for play ground. It also doesn't have an auditorium but it has seminar halls.
Faculty: All teachers who teach here are very supportive and friendly. Most teachers have patent and doctorate. They all have updated knowledge of their subjects. The college is under KTU. The college follows the rules, circular of KTU university. Semester exams are simple if you study properly.

The college has good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: Several companies like Infosys, Amazon, etc., come for the placement drive annually. At least 15 students get paid internships in the 4th year. The highest package in 2025 is 34 LPA from Amazon, received by two students from the AI and ML branches. The 2024 scheme provides internships in the 4th year.
Infrastructure: Currently, college hostels aren't available, but there are several hostels nearby. Wi-Fi is available, and labs are of top quality. The college has a library. There are department libraries too. Classrooms are average. The canteen operates almost daily. Sports are active, even though the ground is small.
Faculty: The 2024 scheme is different from the 2019 scheme. The 4th year is purely practical, where we do projects, seminars, and internships. There are two series of exams before the KTU semester exams, which are considered for internals. Exams aren't that difficult if we study seriously. The staff members are very supportive and qualified. They often give additional classes if needed.
Other: AI and ML is a field that is growing rapidly. Taking this course provides you with a chance to land a job of your dreams. Companies are more interested in this branch. Cult Away is an annual college fest, mostly held for 3 days. There are many societies and clubs where you can showcase your talents. The campus surroundings are good, with a basic canteen available.

My college- The place where I respawn.
Placements: Currently, I entered into the 4th year. Among my seniors, almost 25% of students get placed. Some others choose to go for higher studies. The top recruiting companies like Tata Elxsi, Tech Mahindra, Inapp, etc., hire students. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 2 LPA. In my year, only 10% of students got internships in other companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Labs are well-equipped. Classrooms are spacious and have enough areas for study. The library contains all the necessary books for every department. It also contains previous years' question papers for board exams and many journals for students. The college doesn't have a hostel on its own. Every year the college conducts sports meets for students to showcase their skills. Additional games like football tournaments, cricket tournaments, and badminton tournaments are also conducted at the college.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and really helpful in clearing doubts and giving advice to students. Teachers are well-experienced and the teaching quality is of above average level. The course curriculum is good but it is a little bit outdated, in my opinion. The course curriculum is maintained by the KTU, which is a technical board for maintaining the curriculum of the B.Tech course in our college. Semester exams are a little bit tough but not that hard. The pass percentage in my class is around 98% in the previous semester.
Other: Currently, I am in 4th year and I will pass out in 2026. I chose this course because of the endless opportunities in the computer science field. I also want to be a developer. To become a developer, computer science is the best option to study. The syllabus should be reduced and relevant subjects should be added to the syllabus. Various events and fests are conducted at the college. Among these, some of them are Onam, Xmas celebration, holy, cultural fest named as cult away, and technical fest.

Our college mechanical lab is one of the big labs among the Kerala engineering colleges.
Placements: Our college offers placements in top companies like Amazon. There is a concession available for KSRTC-related jobs and the EZ category. Google and Amazon are top companies that visited our college for placements. Students with good CGPA and performance will be selected for jobs.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good lab system and good classrooms. The college does not have a hostel. There are 2 canteens and one is the mini canteen. The canteen food is good and tasty. The mini canteen has snack items like Vada and cold drinks.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and make students active. Our study method is mainly focused on industrial jobs and placement-oriented classes are also available. Semester exams are under KTU and the pass percentage is approximately 96-98%.
Other: It is a good campus with all facilities and a good atmosphere. The college is in the town.
