An above average college for Economics Honours in DU.

Placements: 10 to 15% of students get placed from my course. The highest package is around 20 LPA, the lowest is around 4 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. The top recruiters are Accenture and De Shaw. 10% of students get internships. The top role offered is Financial Analyst.

Infrastructure: There is no boys' hostel, only a girls' hostel is available. Facilities are decent, and the library is one of the largest in DU. Classrooms have ACs, and the college has Wi-Fi facility. The infrastructure is below average. My college offers one of the highest numbers of courses in DU.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and highly qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and among the best in the country. Semester exams are moderate, and the pass percentage in the end-semester exams is 90%. The course also makes students industry-ready, as it is in high demand in the market.

Other: This course has one of the highest placement rates in DU and provides great opportunities to connect with professionals in the industry.

Really good infrastructure and teaching facility but requires more placement records.

Placements: Around 10-20% of students are placed in college. the highest package was around 15 LPA. The lowest package is 1.5 LPA and the average is 3-4 LPA. EY, W&W, BCG, etc. are the top recruiters. 1-2 students got internships. Some of the top roles in our course are data analyst, public policy, and research analyst.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is there with a good speed. Some classrooms have working ACs. Benches are of old style. All labs are three and the library is also present and it is one of the best in North Campus. Only the girls hostel is an AI in our college. The food of the canteen is average but the rates are good. Medical facilities are fewer in our college and it is known to be one of the best sports colleges.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers are qualified and very knowledgeable. Their teaching is nice except for a few of them. I don't think that course curriculum is relevant in real life and the case study given in reading material is of the USA rather than of India. I does not help students to get ready for industry level. Exams are not that much difficult and the pass percentage is 35 percent.

I am dissatisfied with placements, as very limited companies offered jobs. Faculty are good.

Placements: For internships, most roles offered are in data analytics or research. The same goes for job placements. Companies were very limited and offered a low CTC while expecting experience. Only a small fraction of students received internship and job offers. I was disappointed with the placements.

Infrastructure: The library was extensive and provided a good range of academic resources relevant to courses offered in the college. Overall, the infrastructure was a little disappointing as the air conditioning was not functioning well. It was better than many DU colleges but still needs improvement. The canteen offered a good range of items at reasonable prices.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified, skilled, knowledgeable, and really helpful. The course curriculum lacked a bit, as the reading material allotted for the course lacked numerical and deep analytical questions, which are often asked in exams. Practicals in the college are not great difficult.

Our college gives a good experience.

Placements: Our college has a record of students getting placed with a high salary package of 32 LPA for a business economics student. Due to the pandemic, 228 offer letters were provided to students with the highest salary package of 12 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college provides multiple Wi-Fi networks on campus. Classrooms are well-equipped with air-conditioners. Library has a good collection of books and provides more facilities based on students' demands. Girls hostel is situated next to the principal office inside the campus for the safety and well-being of students. The boys' hostel is under construction.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified and helpful. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Our college offers three core courses each semester such as VAC, SEC, and AECC.

Other: I chose this course as it is a prestigious course. The campus crowd and khalsa vibe are unique. Our college recently hosted the first-ever Sikh history congress of India which was marked by the eminent presence of the VC.

A really great college in terms of faculty infrastructure and peer crowd.

Placements: Professions such as actuary insurance manager data scientist and data analyst are some of the major jobs offered. Students securing high percentage >95% are placed within the course. Majority of students get internship in small firms as a research assistant or content creator.

Infrastructure: When compared to other colleges in Delhi university SGTBKC has far superior infrastructure. Labs are completely air conditioned along with classes. There is easy availability if Wi-Fi within the college and labs. The canteen and mess provide high quality food as well.

Faculty: Economics hons is one of the most demanded courses. It has a high difficulty level and therefore a lower pass percentage. The faculty within the college is extremely qualified and helpful as well besides providing semester syllabus teachers also relate it to day to day scenarios.

Other: I chose economics honors because it has a wide scope in the future and really interests me as well.

Register and Apply
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing.
