I am satisfied with the college.

Placements: Placements are average, not that good. Average placements mean that while some students manage to secure jobs. The opportunities may not be as promising in terms of salary packages, job roles, or the number of recruiters visiting the campus. This can be disappointing for students who have high expectations from the college.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not available, so you have to live in a PG. The infrastructure is good. Labs are well-maintained, and the library is not too big. The new canteen is good, and there is a medical room in the college. Sports and games are well encouraged, with almost every game available.

Faculty: Teachers at my college are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Some teachers teach very well. Semester exams are at a moderate level. If you have studied well, you can pass easily. Almost every student passes the exam, so the passing percentage is 100%.

Decent infrastructure, average teachers, average placements, limited exposure, and average fests.

Placements: Around 8% to 12% of students from the Economics Honours course got placed, with top recruiters including EY, Studio Mosaic, KPMG, Qual4 Infotech, and Accentuate. While specific salary figures for the highest, lowest, and average packages are not available. These companies offered roles such as system and application services associate and positions in risk advisory, among others. The percentage of students securing internships is comparatively lower, with opportunities provided by organizations like Younity in Suvidha Foundation, and Uttejna Foundation.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available but limited to a few areas. Classrooms are decent but lack AC and coolers, making summers comfortable. The library is large and well-equipped. There is no hostel facility. Canteen food is not satisfactory, but medical facilities are good. Sports and games facilities are decent.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but their teaching methods are not very effective. They often assume that students already understand the basics and do not focus on clearing fundamental concepts. While some teachers are decent, overall attention to students is lacking. The course curriculum sometimes feels irrelevant as it is largely theoretical and numerical, with little practical exposure. Semester exams are quite difficult. The pass percentage is around 30-40%.

Other: I chose this course because I heard it offers good future prospects and a wide career scope. The best part is that it sometimes helps in understanding how economics functions. Events are well-organized, but fests are just average. Campus crowd is decent. Scholarships are a bit difficult to get. There are plenty of extracurricular activities happening regularly.

It is a pretty good college, mess can be improved. It is a peaceful and calm campus.

Placements: With 200+ recruiters in 2023, the highest package was INR 21.50 LPA, with an average of 5.35 LPA. Top recruiters were DE Shaw, Deloitte, PwC, Wipro, and EY, with roles such as analyst, consultant, and researcher. Median salary is INR 4.65 LPA.

Infrastructure: The Economics department has Wi-Fi-enabled Google labs as well as a stocked library, with laptops and projector-equipped classrooms. Mess food is okay. There is a Nescafe and a Mother Dairy on campus. Medical facilities are also good, and sports are encouraged.

Faculty: The faculty members are very qualified and helpful. They are very friendly and kind to all students. They provide the needed material and questions for the exams. The curriculum is industry-relevant, covering important aspects and practical skills. Semester exams are pretty tough, with a high pass percentage.

Other: This course is one of the best in DU, and it is excellent in providing real-life skills and knowledge. There are multiple societies in Gargi that are very active, with regular events and seminars being conducted by industry professionals, offering very authentic information to all students.

Young professors, nice infrastructure, and great placements.

Placements: About 80% of students who apply for a job get placed in good companies. Last year, the highest salary package offered was 23.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5.25 LPA. The gross package is 12.9 CPA. Many prestigious companies like Tata, De Shaw & Co., EY, KPMG, Lenskart, Urban Company, Delloite, PWC, Accenture, Brain and Co., and Bluestone come for interviews and recruitment processes. Students are able to score jobs in most of them. This year, though the process is still ongoing, and no statistics have been released yet, many students got offers from Big 4 with a good CTC.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is satisfactory and good. Recently, they have inaugurated a new academic block which has made things easier. Moreover, the auditorium has been under construction since our batch started college. Washrooms are satisfactory. Cleanliness is there. Our classrooms are also nice and spacious. The library has a little work to do on the basis of new books being kept. Doing economics hons, we never have to visit a computer lab. The new canteen in the college is good. The prices are so low, and the food is satisfactory. I prefer eating from the Nescafe, as it is comparatively hygienic.

Faculty: Faculty members in the economics department are awesome. Professors are young. They listen to whatever students say. They teach very well. They are understanding in terms of marks. Teachers focus more on building concepts rather than random facts. They are helpful, overqualified, and quite knowledgeable. This college follows the curriculum set by DU, so it is more on the theoretical side. Students have to do some personal projects to make themselves industry-ready. Semester exams are manageable if we study regularly. Even though, we will pass. Practice is key.

A glimpse of Gargi- the life of a Gargian.

Placements: Placements are really good in the college as the institute have a very active placement cell so there are numerous workshops provided on things like interview preparation, resume building, etc. As for the campus placement, all big 4 companies namely Deloitte, KPMG ,PwC and EY, visit the college. The average package is around 4-5 lakhs and generally goes up to 21 lakhs.

Infrastructure: Though Gargi does not provide hostel facilities, the college itself has a good infrastructure as it has well-lit and ventilated rooms along with a big auditorium and 3 computer labs in different academic blocks. The college has a library as well as an AC study room and a seminar hall for guest lectures or workshops.

Faculty: Economics Hons is a course that requires time, consistency and devotion due to it's rigorous syllabus and math's orientated subjects. Since Gargi hosts a great faculty, the course preparation is eased. The faculty here is helpful and very understanding, as the professors genuinely listen to your concerns and try their level best to help you out.
