Aspirants must complete BE/BTech/AMIE degree in relevant specialisation passed with a minimum of 50% aggregate of all years of the degree examinations to apply for SJCE Mysore M.Tech programme. Besides, aspirants must pass Karnataka PGCET or GATE for admission to MTech.

Admission to BE/BTech programs is based on the COMEDK and KCET entrance exams. The cutoff criteria is based on a valid score in either KCET or Karnataka PGCET. For admission to a BE course at SJCE Mysore, aspirants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria. The selection further can be done based on the applicant's score in the KCET/COMEDK UGET exam. The seat allotment procedure is carried out mainly by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). For seat allotment, the cutoff list is released and candidates with a score equal to or better than the cutoff rank are granted admission.
