BMS Institute of Technology and Management offers admission based on entrance exam score of the candidates. The institute accepts state-level entrance exams such as KCET, Karnataka PGCET, etc. for admission to specific programmes. BMSIT also offers admission under the Management Quota to candidates who fulfil the specified requirements. Once the selection is over, the institute releases a merit list announcing the names of the shortlisted candidates.

BMSIT Bangalore training and placement cell provides in-house faculty members, outsourced training partners and industry interactions to prepare the students with utmost clarity. This cell was established in the year 2004 and the first batch to graduate with placement was of year 2005-2006. BMSIT Bangalore provides semester-wise training to students from first year onwards. The Institute has international collaborations that bring exposure and enhanced training methods to follow. As per the records of the year 2023, 1100+ students were a part of internships through 350+ companies. Students receive their share of practical knowledge through activities such as industrial visits, technical talks, alumni mentoring, and employer’s meetings.

For a course such as MCA, aspirants must qualify for the entrance exam with a valid Karnataka PGCET course to apply for BMSIT Bangalore admissions. MCA is a 2-year long course with the eligibility criteria of 50% aggregate in bachelor’s degree and 45% for SC/ST category. The accepted exams for admission to the MCA course are KCET, KMAT, and Karnataka PGCET. The final step of the admission process involves an interview round.
