B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Helpful faculty, strong research, good facilities, placements, and higher studies opportunities.
Placements: I believe 90 percent of students are placed. The lowest, average, and highest packages are 3 LPA, 6 LPA, and 15 LPA. Companies include Hyundai, TCS, Ashok Leyland, and others. A high number of students manage to get internships in Caterpillar and similar companies. Top roles are usually in automotive, design, and industrial/production engineering.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi, both traditional boards and e-boards to demonstrate concepts and videos. The library is filled with books and is exhaustive in quantity. The tables and rooms are refurbished frequently and are comfortable. Windows are open, letting in fresh breeze. The canteen and mess serve top-quality food with high variety. A first aid kit is kept ready in case of emergencies, and the hostel is really nice with AC and single-room options.
Faculty: All professors are masters of their subjects and have a strong research focus. You can see the amount of research they produce if you walk down the hallway of my department. The course is extremely relevant and has ample electives to branch out as you see fit. Semester exams are entirely based on the syllabus, and if the concepts are clear, you do not need to worry. In my section of 64 people, I think everyone has passed.
Other: I study Mechanical Engineering, and I personally feel the course is wonderfully designed. We have ample elective choices, and the department has professors who are extremely helpful. It is an extremely engaging course, and you are introduced to new topics every semester. Do not be fooled by the core tag. My favorite subjects are Additive Manufacturing and Operations Research, which are really interesting. Events and fests are plenty, sports facilities are amazing, and the football field is one of the best in the state. There are many clubs, so do not miss the opportunity.

Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering.
Placements: In Tamil Nadu, SSN College is number one for placements. Highest package is about 1.2 crores, and lowest package is 3 LPA. So many top companies have come to our college. Tamil Nadu's one of the best colleges is SSN. So many MNC companies came to our college.
Infrastructure: We have best infrastructure and labs. We have best AC classrooms. We have a well-stocked library with central AC. We have best hostel rooms, and washrooms are very clean. We have a medical facility available for both hostelers and day boarders. We also have sports available.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, well educated, and they are well knowledgeable. Their teaching is very super. While teaching, they are very friendly to students. This course is a relevant civil type. This is not relevant to industries. Semester exams are not tough, it is moderate.

Satisfied with all aspects such as placements, campus life, and education.
Placements: 100% placements were provided. Top companies like Amazon, Zoho, and Oracle participated in the placements and startups also took part. The highest package offered is 50 LPA. A diverse number of companies attended the placements and all hired with a lot of benefits.
Infrastructure: The hostel was very spacious and comfortable. The hostel food was very average and they should improve on that.
Faculty: Faculty were all experienced and very good at their job. Concepts were taught with utmost skill and understanding. Semesters were quite difficult and challenging. The questions were very twisted and tricky and was quite tough to attend without a heavy preparation. My course and syllabus was architected very well with important base knowledge about computer science and coding-related concepts were also taught to us.
Other: Campus life was pretty good as the college is very scenic and beautiful surrounded by stress all over.

I am absolutely satisfied with the infrastructure.
Placements: Placements in our course are around 80%, which is a good record. The quality of placements is also really good. The highest package offered is 48 LPA. The average package ranges from 6-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Accenture, IBM, Capgemini, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course are like international colleges, which are extremely good. The library is available. Wi-Fi is present. The quality of facilities available in the hostel is also good. Sports facilities are present in limited editions.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective fields of study. The teaching quality of our faculty members is extremely great. The course curriculum is relevant. Students have mandatory internships in the course and research work so they get real industry exposure.

It is a top 1 college for engineering.
Placements: The top roles offered are from premium companies, including data scientist, development engineer, frontend, backend development, machine learning engineer, etc. Even non-technical roles are offered such as sales, marketing, etc.
Infrastructure: The quality of mess food is average but the infrastructure is just too awesome. There is a basketball court, cricket ground, canteen, library, canteen and two other food shops which provide hygienic food. There are AC hostels as well as non-AC one can choose according to their needs.
Faculty: Teachers have excellent knowledge. The teaching methods are amazing and interesting, which keeps students attached to subjects and interests. The pass percentage in college is 45% out of 100. The difficulty level depends on the paper but it is more easy to pass if we prepare the important questions.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the computer science course. This course offers all subjects related to computer science and gives a wide range of subject knowledge which helps us to get high package jobs. Everything is perfect about this course and maybe sticking to one language like Python alone is not enough, which I feel personally. There are a lot of events happening like cultural fest, hackathons, paper presentations, etc., where students can actively participate. Many hackathons and cultural events are there too for students to participate in.

I got a new family in my college.
Placements: In many departments particularly in mechanical the placement percentage exceeds 90%. The highest package is around 1.17 core per annum and the lowest package falls in the range of 8 to 10 lacs per annum for companies like Range, Caterpillar, etc are hiring our college for placements since I am a second-year student we are not compelled to go for placement we had done lots of projects regarding our course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in our college for the mechanical department are very good. The college offers Wi-Fi facilities in classrooms libraries and labs also. They provide labs with essential machines and equipment and safety facilities in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable then we think the faculty obtained their Ph.D. and IITs only. The method of teaching is such a way that all the students can understand the topic. The lab technician makes students more skillful in using machines and equipment so we are the students of industry-ready
