It is good to study here as teaching and non-teaching staff members are helpful enough.
Placements: In 1st year, our college takes admission of a large number of students unofficially with extra charges. Seats are limited. In zoology honors, there was no minimum value for graduation. The rate was fixed, and it was around Rs. 10,000 for 3 years. After graduation, students can choose different kinds of academic careers like IIT, M.Sc, etc.
Infrastructure: The library is good, and classrooms are air-conditioned. Lab rooms are worth with good infrastructure, and a large number of specimens are available. The environment in the canteen is not good because many students smoke there. Still, I heard that the food was available at low prices.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and helpful, but in our time, maximum classes got canceled. Teachers got busy in their own way. For 1st few weeks, we went regularly and insisted teachers to take our classes. They don't even follow the routine. So we started going irregularly, and most of the time we spent at home. The course was good as we were able to get enough time to study at home. The course makes students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am especially fond of biological subjects. The subject is very interesting. In the future, if students want to be in the teaching line, then this subject would help them to get better chances.

The college has qualified teachers, but they don't teach properly.
Placements: No placement cell is available, so there is no scope of getting placed. Students of geography, physiology, zoology, botany, physics, chemistry, maths, etc., everyone gets a job from external sources. It also depends on your merits.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is more or less good, but the canteen is very dirty, and big mice stay in the canteen. It is very dirty, bad and unhygienic. Students used to smoke on the campus every time. No fresh food is present. No proper benches are available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified but are always late to the class. Mostly, they are on leave. Even if they take classes, it will be only for 5-10 minutes. Students don't show much interest in studies.
Other: Nothing is provided successfully.

I miss my college life.
Placements: No one placed. There is no package available. No one recruit zoology student. No internship is available. There no role in this course. No one placed at my college because there no placement department to give student placement for general courses.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi available, Lab condition was not good. The classroom is not cleaned properly. The library was good. Now water purifier is available on the ground floor of the college. College was newly painted. This was the condition at the back office. No medical facility was available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the excursion tour on 2nd year. The course is curriculum relevant. But, it does not make us ready for industry. This is not a job-oriented course. It will not help to get a job in future.
Other: I love the biology subject that's why I chose it. Modern technology of study can improve our course. There is only one event arranged per year.

This is a very Best College under CU for degree students in Prime Location of Kolkata.
Placements: This is not an engineering college, hence is no word for placement. The placement rate is quite average over here.
Infrastructure: Our college building is very good. There is an indoor game room, a well-decorated auditorium, a well-organised lab, etc. One of the best colleges affiliated with Calcutta University, located in the heart of Kolkata. There was a social seminar per year for freshers.
Faculty: The faculty is the best. Very good teachers and staff members are there. They have very good knowledge. Our department has five professors. They are scholars. Our HOD, Dr. Adity Sarbajana, was one of the very good teachers and guides. She is very helpful.
Other: Our batch was very good, full of meritorious students. There were cultural events, a zoological seminar for zoology students, and an excursion to a bio-diversity region (for us it was Kanha Forest, Madhya Pradesh). We enjoyed our college life.
