Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2024

I liked the college and its performance.
Placements: The BCA course secured 76% placements, with the maximum and minimum salary packages of 14.5 LPA and 3.1 LPA. Internships were offered based on academic grades and technical skills. So far, 36 LPA is the top package secured by an MCA student in the college.
Faculty: Teachers were the main moral support for students, providing an extreme level of guidance to all. They focused on preparing students with plenty of industrial knowledge. The semester examination results usually varied depending on the preparation process and the difficulty of the question papers.
Other: To get admitted into any course, it was important to apply for the application process in advance. Then, they released a merit list for admission. Students from various regions enrolled in their desired courses. The campus and its surroundings were slightly crowded because they provided a maximum number of seats.

SICSR review and summary.
Placements: The placement provides good companies that offer a great package and interesting job roles. With multiple rounds of aptitude and interviews, they prepare us beforehand. The internship program offered is also good for boosting your CV. They also make sure you are not under any pressure.
Infrastructure: Well, the infrastructure is so-so. I haven't really stayed in the hostel, but the area where the campus is located is a good area; everything is close by, it's the best in the city, and there's a little greenery. However, they could improve on the infrastructure, but they do have basic facilities, with AC labs too.
Faculty: My experience with the faculty has been very nice; they are very sweet, understanding people. The curriculum could avoid some subjects like yoga and service learning because due to these subjects, our CGPA goes down a little. Other subjects taught are good and easy to understand and learn.

If you want to study well join here, otherwise don't waste your father's money.
Placements: I am in the second year of my four-year BCA honors course. I have seen several campus placement drives take place on our college campus itself. Even though IAS an individual student, I am not qualified yet to be a part of these placement events. To my knowledge, as a student, you are well established, well learned. In this institution, you can jump-start your career.
Infrastructure: Our campus can barely be called a campus, it's just a building. If you are looking for a happening college life, this will not thrill you. There are barely any events. The events take place in our parking lot. The canteen is decent. Classrooms are decent. All the labs have functioning AC. There are water coolers on every floor. It has clean washrooms. The hostel rooms are nice, but the food is terrible and overpriced. There's no washing machine, a paid laundry service is the only option.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and qualified. Each teacher has their own pros and cons, but on average. The faculty members are usually good. We have a lot of visiting faculty who are extremely qualified in their own fields. Teachers are helpful and polite. The coordinators and HOD are also very reasonable and can be approached for whatever it is that you may need guidance with. The curriculum is relevant, and it has plenty of subjects that are preparing us to be industry-ready.
Other: The campus crowd is rowdy. I have grown up in a very conservative school and a conservative environment. There's a huge difference from that.

College received a good recognition.
Placements: Master of business administration in information technology grabbed 65% of offers with the highest salary package of 18.45 LPA for a year. TCS, Verizon, and IBM had a good tie-up with the college and were offering maximized offers to the students from all areas.
Infrastructure: Well-facilitated computer laboratories were available in all the blocks considering the necessity of their usage. All the data and reports were digitised and updated for every single day. Students were allowed to use all the areas within the campus for studying, searching, and exploring their skills.
Faculty: Teachers with sufficient knowledge and skills were able to manage the students even with their hyperactivity. The personalities of the teachers were so admirable and adorable. They provided good support for the students to work towards their passion.

Well-qualified faculty, an updated curriculum.
Placements: I am a second-year BCA student. In the previous batch, about 60-70% of BCA students are successfully placed. The highest package offered is around 7 LPA, the lowest was approximately 2.5 LPA, and the average salary ranged between 3.5 to 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture. Internships were provided to nearly 50% of the students, mainly from companies like Wipro, HCL, and some local startups. The roles offered are mostly in software development, testing, and IT support.
Infrastructure: BCA department boasts well-equipped computer labs with reliable internet access, a clean and spacious library, and comfortable classrooms fitted with projectors. However, the hostel experience is average. Most rooms accommodate three students, and the lack of washing machines makes laundry inconvenient. The mess food is decent but tends to be repetitive. Medical facilities are available 24/7, and there are good options for sports and indoor games on campus.
Faculty: Faculty is helpful, well-qualified, and experienced in their respective subjects. Many professors are approachable and genuinely supportive, guiding students effectively. The curriculum is up-to-date and covers industry-relevant topics such as Data Structures, DBMS, and Web Development. Semester exams are moderately challenging but manageable with consistent study. The pass percentage for our course is above 85%.
Other: While the course and facilities are decent, the hostel fees are quite high considering the basic amenities offered. With no laundry services and minimal facilities, it doesn’t fully justify the cost. The campus community is diverse, friendly, and supportive. There are numerous clubs and societies to join, spanning from technology to arts and culture. Events like TechFest and Cultural Week are well-organized and enjoyable. The campus environment is peaceful, with good Wi-Fi coverage and reliable security.

Good for studies, but not for extra things like events.
Placements: Almost 80% of students sit for placements, and they get placements. The highest package is 26 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The top companies are Deshaw, Deloitte, TCS, and all students get internships. Roles offered are related to IT, like software testing, so go to this college if you need placements. There will be a good placement if you are a hard worker.
Infrastructure: There is no campus, just one building. There is a library and good Wi-Fi, and a hospital is available. The college will provide an internship, and you will get placement before your internship, overall college is good, but no events and sports.
Faculty: Good and qualified staff, but lacks skills. Subjects and semester exam level are moderate, and also the curriculum is not good for getting placement from college, you have to study from outside or take courses for placements. Need hard work as the highest placement is just for 1 or 2 people.
Other: No events and no extra things, if you want just placement and are ready to work hard, go to this college.

Now getting a chance of seeking admission with 70% in SICSR totally depends on the caste category.since if you are a SC or ST candidate you can get into the institute easily but in case of general candidates there's no hopes, so I would suggest you to also apply for other institutes as well.

As there's no clear data about the cut off of M.Sc. in the Symbiosis Pune, the assumed cut off for M.Sc. may be is also going to be around 80 to 85 percentage since the degree is at postgraduate level so the student must score 50 percent in Bachelor degree i.e., in B.Sc. at the undergraduate level.
