Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences Scholarships and Funding

Eligible students can avail the following scholarships:

First Year of Undergraduate Studies (based on Class 12 marks)

a) Candidates receiving 98% and above in Class 12 will receive 100% Full Fee Scholarship.

b) Candidates receiving 96% and above in Class 12 will receive 80% tuition fee scholarship.

c) Students receiving 94% and above in Class 12 will receive 40% tuition fee scholarship.

d) Students receiving 90% and above in Class 12 will receive 20% tuition fee scholarship.

NOTE: The continuation of the scholarship beyond the first year is subject to the student maintaining a minimum CGPA of 8.50 at the end of academic year.
Once a student loses scholarship due to non-maintenance of CGPA, she/he will not be considered for the continuation of scholarship under this category later at any stage of undergraduate studies. They may avail other scholarships,

Scholarships for Second and Third years of Undergraduate studies-

a) Candidate with 9.5 and above CGPA will receive 50% Tuition Fee Scholarship
b) Student receiving 9 and above CGPA will receive 30 percent Tuition Fee Scholarship

Scholarships for Fourth year of Undergraduate studies:-

Students who have opted for a Four year program, without any ‘E’ grade in any course during the first three years will receive 50 percent Tuition Fee Scholarship

Scholarships for Post graduate studies:-

a) Marks obtained in the Bachelor’s program Aggregate Marks greater than or equal to 75% at Bachelor’s level will receive 50% Tuition Fee Scholarship to All the eligible admitted students.
b) Marks obtained in the Bachelor’s program Aggregate Marks greater than or equal to 65% but less than 75% at Bachelor’s level will receive 30% Tuition Fee Scholarship to All the eligible admitted students.


Note: Minimum 8.50 CGPA in all the preceding semester(s) and should not have any backlog in the year of consideration and must have passed all the courses offered in the semester(s) prior to the year of consideration. Merit scholarships will be awarded only if the number of students registered in a discipline is at least five.
