A few more updates are given below:
- The COMEDK UGET 2026 application window will tentatively open in Feb 2026 for the admission process of BE/BTech courses.
- The Karnataka PGCET 2026 registrations for admission to MBA, MCA, and ME/MTech courses will be expected to begin in the last week of April 2026.
- The KCET 2026 registration window will open on Jan 17, 2026 for admission to the BE/BTech and other courses. Students can register till February 2026 ( Tentative). The exam will be held on April 23, 2026 and April 24, 2026.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech courses will be conducted from Feb 7, 2026 to Feb 8, 2026, and then from Feb 14, 2026 to Feb 15, 2026.

- CS and mechanical departments are kinda Good.
- Less infrastructure compared to JC.

- The syndicate Bank that the college has inside the campus is a shithole, and every student will agree with me on this one.
- NIE is okay in terms of many other things, but if I had to choose between NIE and JC. I would prefer JC.

NIE Mysore BE fee is INR 2.6 lakh. The fees might include components other than tuition fees.
The BE tuition fee is calculated on the basis of first year. Hence, the actual amount may vary. Yes, candidates who have not qualify COMEDK UGET can still apply for NIE Mysore admission to BE course. Aspirants can join NIE Mysore through KCET or JEE Main scores. The institute also has reserved some seats under the Management Quota (MQ). It also has one seat reserved under the Sports Quota, which is offered to the candidates who have represented the Junior/ Sub-Junior team of Karnataka/ any other State of India/ Union Territory of India at various state, national, and international sports events.
NIE Mysore has not yet release the M.Tech cutoff for the current session. However, you can have a look at the previous year cutoff. As soon as the cutoff is announced by the institute it will be updated on the Shiksha page.

Admission to M.Tech at NIE Mysore is through Karnataka PGCET, GATE, or KMAT scores. Shortlisted applicants have to attend counselling organized by KEA. Applications can also be submitted directly at NIE Mysore through Management Quota. Seat allotment is category and availability as per merit.

Yes, But consider this also-
local placement is decent, teaching is decent, overall exposure/brand is Not as Esteem-able as BMSCE/MSRIT/Amrita.
For vibrant city life, internships, coding culture, and good placements, MSRIT or BMSCE Bangalore CSE is an excellent choice.
