NIE Mysore BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
NIE Mysore BE is a full-time programe programme offered in affiliation with Visvesvaraya Technological University. At its South campus, the institute offers four BE specialisations. These specialisations are BE in Industrial and Production Engineering, BE in Civil Engineering, BE in Mechanical Engineering, and BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. All these courses are offered for a four-year course duration. Moreover, the mode of education is full-time. Other than these, the institute also offers a special BE in Civil Engineering for employee diploma holders.
Seats available for BE at NIE Mysore are filled based on students marks in CET/COMED-K/JEE Main. The institute also offers admissions through Management Quota. The requirements under Management Quota are slightly different from regular admission. Below is the NIE Mysore South Campus BE eligibility criteria:

Eligibility criteria as per KEA: Candidates must have completed Class 12 or equivalent exam with English as one of the languages and obtained at least 45% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer (40% aggregate for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
- For MQ Seats at NIE: Aspirants must have completed Class 12 or equivalent exam with English as one of the languages and obtained at least 55% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer
NIE Mysore BE Fees 2025
At the time of admission to NIE Mysore courses, students must pay the prescribed fees to confirm the seat. As per the fee structure, the total tuition fee to pursue BE amounts to INR 2.8 lakh. NIE Mysore BTech Admission Process 2025: How to Apply?
NIE Mysore admission BE course admission are based on entrance exam (CET/COMEDK/JEE Main) scores. Other than entrance-based, the institute offers admission under the Management and Sports Quota. Moreover, the admission process consists of three broad steps. In the first step, students interested in taking admission must apply for the preferred BE course.

Step 1: NIE Mysore BE Application Process 2025
Candidates can apply online for BE admission. To get admission via CET, candidates need to fill out the KCET application form. For admission through COMEDK-UGET, candidates can check out how to apply for COMEDK-UGET. Other than this, students are required to fill out the institute level application form. The steps to apply are as follows:
Step 1.1: Visit the online application portal of the institute at https://nie.ac.in/admission/.
Step 1.2: Click on the link against the BE programme.
Step 1.3: Register to make an account. Login the account and fill out the available application form
Step 1.4: Pay the application fee and submit the form.
STEP 2: Allocation of BE Seats
In the second step of the admission process, students who have applied for the programme meet the cutoff set for the respective entrance exams (JEE Main/COMEDK/KCET) are shortlisted for admissions. Based on the order of rank and the institute's seat intake for BE, students are allocated a seat. The decision of allotment of seats under the Sports Qouta and Management Quota solely lies with the Management.
STEP 3: Confirmation of Admission
Lastly, the admissions committee sends provisional admission letters to the selected candidates. Such candidates are required to report to the institute and make the payment of fees. As per the fee structure, the total tuition fee for BE is INR 2.8 lakh.
