For MQ Seats at NIE: Aspirants who have completed 2nd PUC/ Class 12/ equivalent exam with English as one of the languages and obtained at least 55% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer can apply for BE programme.

The NIE Mysore KCET cutoff 2025 was concluded with the annoucement of the final round of cutoff. 

For the General AI category, the cutoff for the General AI category ranged from 12751 to 119874, wherein B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, with the last round cutoff being 12751. 

Note: other categories, rounds, etc., will have different cutoff accordingly. 

The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering and The National Institute of Engineering are 960 and 420, respectively. While Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering offers this course in 8 specialisations, The National Institute of Engineering offers the same in 5 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering due to higher seats.

The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at HKBK College of Engineering and The National Institute of Engineering are 600 and 420, respectively. While HKBK College of Engineering offers this course in 5 specialisations, The National Institute of Engineering offers the same in 5 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at HKBK College of Engineering due to higher seats.

The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) in Mysore admits students to its undergraduate engineering programs via three separate entrance exams: JEE Main (UG), COMEDK, and CET. The minimal score required for admission varies according to the exam taken. Direct entrance to NIE is available, through management quota .

Yes, NIE Mysore accepts JEE scores for B.E. admissions. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in their qualifying subjects (40% for reserved categories). In addition to this, they need to clear either the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.

NIE Mysore has released its placement statistics for 2023. As per the official website, the the highest package and average package offered during placements 2023 stood at INR 56 LPA and INR 9 LPA, respectively. A total of 708 students were placed and 348 companies were visited during NIE Mysore placements 2023.
