A very good college for the science stream students in a city like Jaipur.

Placements: 99% of students get placement through the college, and many companies approached the college for placements. A very good, promising college for the students for their further needs and regarding their future in their chosen stream. I recommend to the science stream students to take admission in this college.

Infrastructure: Labs are good; infrastructure is too good Wi-Fi is available in all the college campuses. The library is there, and the playground is there, which is the biggest among all the other colleges of Rajasthan University. Classes are very good, with a balanced amount of students in every class.

Faculty: Faculty members are nice, well behaved, well educated, well knowledgeable, and experienced with timely classes and exams, and practicals are conducted very nicely. Most of the faculty members studied at this college, and now they are providing their experience and knowledge here.

Other: Scholarships are available and fests are arranged every year in the college. I surely recommend it to others for their future studies in the science stream.

Our college charges less fee.

Placements: Zoology students didn't get placements in our college. Since it is a government college, its reputation is high, and it is one of the top colleges in Rajasthan. Our college provides knowledge to the students from the top professors.

Infrastructure: All the necessary facilities like all instruments, specimens, slides, etc., are available in our college. Practical labs are very good. The infrastructure of our college is very special because it was constructed in 1844. Its infrastructure reminds students about royalty. All the basic facilities are available like the canteen, RO water, washrooms, etc. The management of our college is good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, kind, and well-qualified. All of them have done their master's degrees and students have to crack NEET and the competitive exams of assistant professors to get jobs. Exams are conducted in our college annually in March or May. Exams are tough. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: I chose this course to gain a good knowledge of Zoology. The best thing about our course is the knowledge. Our college should improve lecture timings. Many events are held in our college. The favorite thing of students in this college is Aquaregia.

You can choose this college if you only want a degree and want to prepare for other exams.

Placements: Placements were not provided at this college. No companies visited here to offer jobs. Most students focused on higher studies and preparing for competitive exams to get government jobs. They just give you a degree in the end.

Infrastructure: The environment of the college was pretty bad. However, the infrastructure was good. There were many books in the library, but they were not managed properly. The hostels were good but old. There was no proper maintenance. The condition of the hostels was degrading.

Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified but did not come to classes to teach. There were annual exams, which were difficult as we had to study throughout the year on our own. Classes were not regularly scheduled. In a week, you may have 2-3 classes, and you may not have a single class for 2-3 weeks.

Placements: This university provides a great career opportunity. Approximately 85% of marks were needed for placements. Campus placements were also available. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA. Many companies visited for placements, and students got internships at IIT. The top course in UMC was B.Sc. zoology honors.

Infrastructure: This college provides a laboratory and Wi-Fi was also enabled. The library provides many books. The food served in the hostel was good. Students who study at Maharaja College was very satisfied.

Maharaja is the best you can get in Rajasthan.

Placements: The majority of students prepare for research, lecturer, PhD, etc. Some students are interested in CDS, OTA and civil services, so students who want placements are very less. So, they don't face any trouble in getting placements. In the last session, reputed companies had shown interest in hiring us like Infosys, etc.

Infrastructure: There are Wi-Fi broadbands here, and the labs are amazing. Classrooms are built huge by using traditional stones because the college was built in 1844. The mess is good, and I am a basketball player, so I get all facilities and opportunities. There is a reading room to read magazines and different newspapers. The library has all the books regarding our syllabus, and the book registration process is very easy.

Faculty: The professors are awesome here. Most of them have a doctorate degree from prestigious colleges. They are easily approachable. There is very good competition in exams, so it's known as the best science college in Rajasthan. Professors also help you personally, and the syllabus is very authentic.

Other: Aquaregia is the annual fest organised here, where there will be around 3,000 people. The fest is really energetic. I wish it would compete with IITs. Most of the students get different types of scholarships, and even I am also getting. Most of my mates are getting it. Other events organised here are an annual sports league, SPS cricket league, debate competition, union office programme, etc.

Review of University Maharaja College, Rajasthan University.

Placements: This is a great college to study, and also it is the biggest college in Rajasthan. The campus environment is good, and the faculty members are supportive. It provides you with all kinds of facilities. Practical labs, computer labs, an auditorium and an open-air theatre are available.

Infrastructure: In my course, we have around 6 teachers for six subjects of zoology, and they're very supportive and brilliant. The good part is that they also passed out from this college. They are very familiar with this college.

Faculty: This college has some highly qualified faculty. They all are very knowledgeable and give a very familiar environment during the lectures. Our college does not have a semester exam system. We just have an annual examination system.

Other: The college has a very good team which is called activity team, which works on extracurricular activities and to improve the skills of students like dance, singing, drama, literature etc. This team organises an annual function called Aquaregia, in which the whole city's colleges take part. Last year, due to covid-19, this event was organised online on a huge platform, and this event has become an international event. Many teams participated in this event from other countries.

It's fee is low, but the quality of teaching and infrastructure is poor.

Placements: To the best of my knowledge, no placements are provided in our college. Internship opportunities are fine, and you'll see all the information on the notice board of the college. After this course, you can go for M.Sc. or prepare for various government jobs. Industry jobs are less because this course is not designed from that point of view.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are huge, but the infrastructure is not that good. Desks are old and broken. Lab facilities are below average. The library is fine compared to other colleges in Rajasthan. Wi-Fi is available with average speed. I didn't avail hostel facilities, so I can't say about it.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified but lack passion for teaching and research. The teaching quality is poor, with very low attendance of both teachers and students. Since it's a B.Sc. pure science course with no exposure to research, it doesn't make the students industry-ready.

Other: The fee is very low, and that's a very big plus point of this college. Even students from less privileged backgrounds can take admission here. Since it's a government college, it attracts the best of the students of Rajasthan, and you will easily find 10-20 students with 90%+ in each class. Events are regularly organized by student bodies. Students also go to inter-college competitions and events. Infrastructure, teaching quality and lab facilities need to be improved.
