Yes, Amity University Kolkata offers direct admission to its various courses. Direct admission implies that the candidates will not be required to attend entrance tests or Personal Interviews for admission. Scores obtained in the last qualifying exam will be considered for the selection process. Courses like BCA/BCA (Hons), BBA< BBA LLB (Hons) and MA are merit-based. Direct admission eligibility is a score of a minimum of 80% in Class 12. The minimum eligibility to apply for the UG courses is Class 12 if a minimum of 50% and for PG courses is Graduation.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 55% aggregate in PCB or PCM are eligible to take admission. In addition, the students with 80% and above aggregate in Class 12 (CBSE/ISC/State-Boards) are exempted from the selection process. Further, depending upon the BTech specialisation, the candidate should have studied particular subjects in class 12, such as Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM) or Biology (PCB).
