Vivekananda College review for B.Com (Hons).
Placements: My college placement for B.Com (hons) is very limited. There are no proper placement opportunities, and reputed companies rarely visit. Few that come are mostly for sales roles, like Bajaj Allianz and HDFC Life, which don't match the career expectations of most students. Placements are limited, mostly sales roles, so higher studies or external opportunities are better.
Infrastructure: At Vivekananda College, Thakurpukur has decent infrastructure with spacious classrooms, a library, computer labs, and a large playground. However, facilities are quite basic, and maintenance could be better. Campus environment is peaceful but lacks modern amenities found in top colleges.
Faculty: Teachers in B.Com (Hons) CBCS are helpful but the way of teaching differs from one to another. The syllabus is wide but not very practical. Exams happen on time, though most papers test memory more than real understanding, so it does not feel fully useful for future jobs.
Other: At Vivekananda College, Thakurpukur is good for B.Com (hons) with decent faculty members, peaceful campus, and supportive environment. A good choice if you want affordable education with a calm atmosphere.

Blessed to be a part of such a wonderful college. Great infrastructure and great facilities.
Placements: About 80% of Students get placement from the college. Top recruiters are Timespro, Times professional learning group, Mendine Pharmaceutical, Jetking, Dhritti Saha Chartered Account Firm, and Rollick Pvt. Ltd, Times of India, SBI life, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Kotak Mahindra Life insurance Co. Ltd, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides projectors in every class, free Wi-Fi for students, a computer center, a library, sports, a special book bank for students who can't afford books, a laboratory, and a good teaching department. Starting from the classroom, canteen, and ground everything was kept clean and hygienic. Food quality was more than average. It has a first aid box available and easy medical facilities and even games like cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, carrom, chess, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and kind towards students always ready to guide help. They help students gain knowledge more and more. Highly qualified teaching facilities and are very punctual. This course is curriculum relevant and it makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are pretty easy but knowledgeable. The pass percentage is 30%.
Other: Our batch consisted of almost 500 students. Almost everyone is humble and helpful towards each other. I was always very strong in Maths and calculations so I preferred to choose Commerce, especially accountancy. Our college organizes events every month. Some charitable events some fun events sports Scholarship events job seminars internships etc.

Review of Vivekananda College, Kolkata.
Placements: Frankly speaking, the placement cell of the college is very inefficient. Every year only a couple of student gets a placement with a package more or less Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per month. However, there is a concept of Summer Internship conducted every even-semester. As per the Calcutta University guidelines, one student has to complete at least one such internship to get a graduation certificate.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is more or less good. The classrooms are large and each of them can accommodate 100-150 students. College canteen offers healthy and tasty food at affordable prices. There is a gymnasium and an indoor games room for the students. There are also facilities like drinking water, free Wi-Fi, science laboratory, and library on the campus. Unfortunately, there is no hostel facility provided by the college. But one can get a good PG in the nearby locality.
Faculty: College faculty members are very well qualified and helpful to the students. The college comes under the jurisdiction of Calcutta University and therefore follows the curriculum set by it. The semester-end examinations are conducted every 6 months by CU. For passing, each student has to get 30% of the marks in each paper.

Review of Vivekananda College.
Placements: The internship is compulsory in the 4th semester, where students must go through an internship to gain experience and exposure. The college is trying to provide placements, and the placement rates are good compared to other government colleges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is much better compared to other government colleges. The college has labs, a library, a canteen, Wi-Fi, indoor and outdoor sports, etc. The food available in the canteen is also good, and you can play indoor and outdoor games. The infrastructure is quite good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very well-experienced and helpful. They try to solve your doubts and help you. The teaching quality is also good. The curriculum is updated, and experience and exposure are provided to students to make them industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester exams is moderate, and the pass percentage is high.
Other: The curriculum is constantly updated to make students corporate-ready. You also get a compulsory internship in your 4th semester. However, the college website could be made more user-friendly. The annual social fest PRAYAS is usually organized in January, and many celebrities are invited to perform. You also get facilities for indoor and outdoor games. You can opt for many scholarships.

Our teachers are very helpful and understanding and well communicating.
Placements: Above 50 percent of students were placed in my course the highest package - 35000 the lowest package - 15000 Average package - 20000 Top Recruiting companies for my course are 1) Infosys 2) JSW 3) Wipro More than 20 percent of their students got their internship Top roles like CA offered in ky course.
Infrastructure: In our course there are more than 4 classrooms for B.Com (Hons) well large classrooms, large windows allow for good ventilation. All classrooms are equipped with black or white boards. In 3rd floor our Library was situated very clean and tidy. We have our large computer lab with more than 35 computer with Wi-Fi enabled.
Faculty: Yes, our teacher is very helpful and well qualified and also very knowledgeable Our teaching quality is good Yes, this course is curriculum relevant. It makes the students with a wife range of managerial skills and understanding in streams like finance, accounting, taxation and management. In our college there is little bit tough for the students to pass the semester exam The pass percentage of our course is 30 percentage.

The college provides average placements. It is good for science students.
Placements: About 15% of the students got placed from our college. The salary offered varies from Rs. 7,000 per month to Rs. 10,000 per month. The top recruiting company was TCS. The role offered was for telecommunications. The salary package offered in our course was 1 LPA to 1.5 LPA. About 25% of the students got an internship in TCS and various other companies.
Infrastructure: Overall, the college is good. Labs are good. Canteen of the college is quite huge, and costing is very less with the advantages given by the college. Sports room is also good. Medical and other facilities provided by the college are worth it. There are no complaints about infrastructure. Any paper related work from office needs time, so you have to visit a lot there.
Faculty: The college has many good faculty members. It's worth studying, but you have to be ready for any questions, and the whole course depends on your credit. The course is also good, but the university gives very limited marks. Try hard to improve yourself as it's difficult to score to the point. The course is worth making students ready for the basic interviews, but practically it's not. Only projects cannot be helpful.
Other: I have chosen this course because I liked its basic concept. Events and fests should be organised to engage students.

The students who want to learn something can choose this college.
Placements: It is unfortunate that our college failed to provide good placements for students. A very few companies visited our college to provide placements, and the average salary package offered to the placed students was not enough. Our college failed to provide internship opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was moderate. The classrooms were traditional, and the computer labs were modern. Wi-Fi facility is provided in the college. The library has varieties of books which helped us immensely during the exams. The quality of food served in the canteen was good. Every year, our college arranges annual sports and other events.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Private tuitions are not required for students who are studying in this college. Students can approach the faculty members during and after college hours to get help. Faculty members' guidance helped us to perform well in the exams.
Other: Every year, annual sports and fests are organised in the college. Other cultural programmes like Independence day and teachers day celebrations were also organised in our college.

The infrastructure and facilities are good.
Placements: Placement interviews are organised by the placement cell of the college. Many students from the previous year batch and even passed out students got placed in renowned companies last year. Many students of our senior batches were offered internship opportunities from the college. The placement cell is well organised and works much efficiently. In the last couple of years, many renowned companies like Cognizant, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, ITC, HCL, and Dabur, etc., have conducted placement drives in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus includes a college library, a stationery store, common room, canteen, cycle/bike stand, playground, gymnasium, yoga centre, book bank for poor sections, student's union, cultural cell, training and a placement cell, women's cell and laboratories. Free Wi-Fi facility is provided throughout the campus. The library has a wide range of books, journals and magazines, and there are a total of more than 40,000 books and other magazines available. There are separate common rooms for boys and girls. The common rooms are well managed by the student's union. The student's union consists of items for recreational activities of students. The canteen provides hygienic food at subsidised rates.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable and much supportive. The quality of teaching is also pretty good. Students are being exposed to industries wherever required. Teaching methods used are generally old fashioned, but modern techniques are adopted whenever possible.
Other: Every year, the inter-department sports competition is organised in the winter season, which includes games like football and cricket. Every year, before the festival of Durga Puja, freshers party is organised by the students union and the college authority. Extracurricular activities such as NSS and NCC programmes are carried throughout the year. Cultural programs are also organised by the student's union.
