B.A in (English, Food Technology) - Batch of 2026
4.2
Amazing faculty and great crowd.
Placements: Most of the students are not placed. But a few companies, like Oberoi and Taj, recruited. Many of us got internships in all three years, but we had to find them on our own. Roles that are offered are usually quality assurance and other laboratory checks.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good with spacious classrooms and 3-4 labs for food technology. Wi-Fi is available in the entire college, and the library is pretty huge too. There is no hostel, but there are renovations taking place in order to provide one soon. The canteen is too good here.
Faculty: The faculty is good, and all teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They share their practical knowledge and interact very nicely. The curriculum is on point, but I wish there were more practical than theoretical. The exams are quite easy to pass, but still, a few students fail.
Other: I chose this course because it interests me a lot, and studying it is fun. The practical classes are good. But if there were more practical, it'd be better. The crowd is good, and lots of festivals take place all year round.

B.A. (Hons.) in English - Batch of 2027
3.6
Good faculty, English Honors not a scoring subject, and fairly good infrastructure.
Placements: Approximately 10% get placement through the college placement cell. Approximately 5-6 LPA might be offered. Maybe Penguin and other publishing houses recruit. 30% students usually get internships. Roles are content writers, proofreaders, media and journalism, and self-employed teachers, maybe.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and good food are available in the canteen. Very nominal prices. Cafes surrounded the college. One can visit that too. Computer labs are fully air-conditioned, with a projector in almost every classroom. Sanitary napkin machines in the washrooms are available. No hostel facility. Students from outstation may stay in PGs.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified enough. Most professors have a Ph.D. and are very helpful. The curriculum is relevant to some extent. Exams are medium-level. Students who put extra effort may score well. But English Honors is not a scoring course at all.
Other: Fests are good, and wings are mostly liked by students.

4.4
I have really good experience with a good environment and a welcoming nature.
Placements: Around 80 percent of students get placed. The salary package offered is above 12 LPA. Companies like HCL, MNCs, etc., hire students. Roles offered depend on our abilities and skills. Placements are decent and good. We can succeed if we are talented and willing to learn every skill that is needed.
Infrastructure: It is very nice, and overall it's good. There is Wi-Fi all around. Classrooms are good, and the library is nice. Sports and games are held. The campus and facilities or grounds are outstanding. The environment is very welcoming, and the greenery is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are good and responsible for their work. They are qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant, but it needs more to become industry-ready. Teachers are very cool. Semester exams are moderate. The pass percentage is 33 percent.

Vivekananda College, DU, has the best facilities for students.
Placements: Vivekananda College, DU has an active pavement cell called Arise, and so far, it has done well. However, History Honours students have been the least benefited by it. Hardly any students of our batch have been placed, but for other departments, it has been really good in providing placements.
Infrastructure: Our campus has two buildings, as one is old and the new block is definitely amazing, as all the facilities that were missing in the old block have been added in the new one. From AC labs and classrooms to better computer labs, everything has been taken care of. There's a small sick room and a garden at the college entrance.
Faculty: Our class has just 40-odd students and around 6-7 faculty members who all have done a Master's in their respective fields. Research in the specific field has also been done by them, and they have many publications under their belt. Exams at the DU are very easy, and for History (Hons), I feel they are the easiest.
Other: Star performances have taken place during our annual event, Pallavi.

Best journey of college is going on.
Placements: I am a second year student but I don't have much knowledge about this. There is a placement society in my college which provides opportunities for B.Com honors students and economic honors students. Sometimes people from companies come and tell us about themselves.
Infrastructure: There are library and labs for students. They can use it for studying purposes. Labs are mostly used for computer tasks, and there is no hostel at my college. Food in the canteen is good. Recently, a medical room got opened which is really nice thing. My college also provides sports at the national level.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also very good. Semester exams are moderate level. But when we go into higher order semesters, the paper level also becomes tough. The passing percentage is 40. If a student gets ER then they have to give it in next year.
Other: I chose this course because its syllabus is interconnected to other subjects which helps in preparing for government jobs. Young professors' recruitment is one thing I wish colleges would do.

    Great faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: The placement is not too good but it's available for every course yet very less companies approach the college as it is off-campus. The highest package every year is usually 24 LPA. Internships are available. Only 5% of them do it but you can find some on your own too.
Infrastructure: The department labs are great. The classes are not that good. There is no hostel facility on the campus. Library is quite big. There is a canteen which provides amazing food at reasonable prices. Medical and sports facilities are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and teach very nicely. The course curriculum is also very well, and makes the students ready for future competitive exams and jobs. Semester exams are not that tough. They are based on previous year's question papers.
Other: I chose this course as I am interested in food technology and English as my minor also is a very good combination. It would be better if food technology offered more lab work and practical experience. There are many events going on all year.

    Absolutely loved the vibe.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got internships from our course in different companies like Silent Door, Safdarjung Hospital, NIMHANS Saathi, Youth for Mental Health, etc. The top roles offered in our course are clinical psychologist, researcher, and counseling psychologist.
Infrastructure: My department, applied psychology, has great infrastructure. The departmental library is very helpful. We can get the books on any day. Classrooms are neat and clean. The environment is healthy. The lab is very disciplined. It runs on strict rules. Overall, the department is very welcoming.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The lectures don't feel boring. As per the course, they are very helpful and approachable. The curriculum is relevant to the current situation. It is highly based on a practical component, so it helps children flourish in the real world too. The exams are neither difficult nor easy.
Other: I chose this course because it helps me to help people, and I love doing that. This course keeps me rounded. More extracurricular activities can be introduced. The campus is really healthy and ecological.

Satisfied with the college campus, life and environment though placements could be better
Placements: The placement opportunities for programme students are scarce. However, some organisations come for placements and internships for every course, and that’s where we can get placed. The package differs from 3 to 5 LPAr on average.
Infrastructure: There’s no hostel facility inside the college campus, so you’ll have to look for PGs to stay. Living conditions are really tough if you don’t have a good environment of friends and a landlady. There’s a college canteen, which is really nice. There’s a medical room as well as a sports room available for students’ use.
Faculty: The teachers are really passionate about their subjects (especially for Food Technology). They’re very helpful and have a good grasp of their subjects. The exams aren’t too difficult, you just need to be a regular student to get marks in CA. My subject isn’t really great for higher education opportunities or jobs, but it’s really good if you’re planning on entrepreneurship in the long run.
Other: The campus is well connected with both red and blue metro lines, so reaching there isn’t too difficult.
