Two Years of Hardship: Balancing Academics and JEE Preparation
In Class 11, I chose PCM with Computer Science. I chose Computer Science because I had it as a main subject in Class 10. I got admitted into one of the top coaching institutes to prepare for the JEE Main exam, which proved to be a completely wrong decision for me. I struggled to balance my board exam studies and JEE Main preparation, leading to a drop in my academic performance. It became difficult to manage both effectively at once. Due to this, I could only secure 55% in Class 11. This result was really unexpected because I never scored less than 80% before this. I tried my best in Class 12. However, I managed to secure only 70%, which left me disappointed.
Overcoming the Dilemma: Focusing on My Long-Term Goal
After the results, I tried applying for colleges and started giving entrance exams for some of the best private colleges in India, such as SRM Institute of Science and Technology and VIT Vellore. I was selected for both the colleges. However, I was unable to secure admission into the CSE branch of either of these colleges. This left me with two options: settle for a lower branch at a top college or go for a top branch at a Tier 3 college. I chose the second option because I have always held the belief that our goal should stay steady, no matter what obstacles arise on the journey. Staying true to that belief helped me get into Parul University, which is one of the best private colleges in the state.
Exciting Beginnings at the Parul University: Meeting Old Friends and New Faces
The beginning of my college studies marked an exciting and memorable chapter in my life. As I stepped onto the campus, I was excited to meet new people. Unlike many, I was not nervous about socializing. To my pleasant surprise, I met a batchmate from my tuition classes, who, by chance, was in the same section as mine. I also met a girl who hailed from a town that is just a few kilometers away from my hometown. This further sparked a sense of familiarity with all the new experiences.
From Passion to Victory: 3rd Prize at DHOOM
One of my biggest passions is dancing, and I participated in many dance competitions to showcase my talent. In my first year of college, I participated in an annual fest called ‘DHOOM’ and won 3rd prize in the Dancing Competition. I also participated in two more dance competitions apart from this.
The Charm of Parul University: A Blend of Nature, Facilities, and Vibrant Campus Life
The campus is beautiful, with all modern facilities. There are four food courts that offer a variety of cuisines to suit everyone’s taste. The campus also has a sports ground where competitions are held regularly. Every college celebration is filled with joy and great enthusiasm. To add to the charm, the campus features a lovely garden, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle of student life.
Learning, Growing, and Preparing to Lead My Mom’s Business
During this college journey, I want to learn new things that I can use while taking over my mom’s business in the future. My goal is to use every bit of knowledge to create something remarkable. I am already enjoying a great college life and hope to create more good memories with my friends.
