KCG College Organises International Conference On Innovations In Science, Engineering And Technology

“It is important to bring together scientists and experts from various disciplines and to have multi-disciplinary research in order to solve the global challenges faced by the humankind in the twenty-first century,” said Dr Chin-Kuan Ho, Professor & Dean, Faculty of Computing and Informatics, and Chairman, Data Science Institute Multimedia University, Malaysia, in his special address delivered at the inaugural function of the International Conference on Innovations & Discoveries in Science, Engineering & Technology organized by the Research Forum of KCG College of Technology.
Lauding the efforts taken by KCG College of Technology in promoting innovations and entrepreneurship, Chief Guest Dr Ranjan Pradhan, Research Investigator, Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology, University of Michigan, highlighted the need to focus on research and innovations in order to make the world a better place to live in. Dr Pradhan shared his experience of how he and his team of researchers are working on building frameworks that can be used by doctors who are struggling to address the health care problems faced by people.
In her presidential address Dr Elizabeth Verghese, Chairperson, Hindustan Group of Institutions, stressed the need for creating a forum for experts and researchers to share their knowledge and research findings with the participants of the conference. She also congratulated KCG College of Technology on being at the forefront of innovations and having won many awards at the national level.
Earlier Dr Annie Jacob Verghese, Director, KCG College of Technology, in her welcome address stressed the need for organizing a multi-disciplinary conference and said that “Tamil Nadu has been at the forefront of engineering education in India by nurturing thousands of well-qualified and talented graduates groomed with the right attitude. For such innovative and energetic minds, entrepreneurship offers huge prospects for self-employment.”
The conference proceedings and the campus newsletter Campus Buzz were released on the occasion. The conference has attracted experts, researchers and delegates from different higher education institutions across the country.
Principal Dr Prabhakaran, Deans, Heads of Departments and officials from Hindustan Group of Institutions were present.
