Mystory@Ayush Chaurasia: How my college surprised me
It was around the Rakshabandhan festival and I was in Bhopal. My dad called me to Chhatarpur saying that he planned to get me admitted in a college there. I got convinced about the idea and got ready to return immediately. Then he told me to first visit the college before we take the final decision. Next, I went to the college and figured out that none other than my dad’s maternal uncle was the principal of that college! I had no choice but to say yes to taking admission there.
In my first year, I maintained a low profile and stayed quiet to avoid getting in the eyes of seniors looking to rag freshers. In my 2nd year of college, I was given a role to play on Teacher’s Day. I was made the College Principal for a day. I was made to take lectures but in the end I was presented the award for best leader forever for education.
I’m the kind of person who does not know what I want to do in life or what the future holds for me but I do give my best in whatever I do. Wherever I get the opportunity, I try to make the most of it but to reach greater heights, I have a long way to go.
