Javed Anwer tells about the mistakes he made during his college life. Read more on Shiksha.

After I cleared standard 12, I decided to drop one year for IIT training. Next year I filled the admission form numerous colleges, but was not selected to any of the colleges. Then I went to Aligarh Muslim University and filled in the application form of the University. Next, I applied to Jamia University and Sharda University and gave their respective entrance exams. Soon, I received a call from Sharda University informing me that I had cleared the entrance exam and was selected for admission to the University. As soon as I got selected, I submitted the fee and secured my seat in Mechanical Engineering in the university. Just two days later, I received a call from Aligarh University that I had been selected there. I was extremely happy to hear this, but was equally sad since I had already paid the fee in Sharda University and missed my chance of studying in Aligarh Muslim University.

College commenced and this was my chance to experience a new environment. Meeting new people, attending classes, spending time in canteen and interacting students from various countries was a great experience. I made lots of friends and enjoyed a lot, and as a result I flunked in my exams. Clearing these papers became a tedious task for me. My suggestion to all the college goers is that it is good to have fun, but at the same time it is equally important to study.

Due to some personal circumstances, I have to drop out of college in the third year. It is now that I realise that education is the key of life and it connects your past to the future.

When I was in first year of college, I fell in love and due to this I could not devote all of my time to my studies. I used to take part in numerous extra-curricular activities. For example, once Roadies audition was organised at our college, and I was the event’s manager and helper.

Due to some personal circumstances, I have to drop out of college in the third year. It is now that I realise that education is the key of life and it connects your past to the future. Don’t waste your time and make sure that you study. I got married and then understood why education, time and money was important but by the time I realised all this, it was too late. My father had spent 6 lakhs on my college study and it was time to repay that money. I decided to do something for the betterment of my family.

I pursued course from Gold’s Gym of personal trainer and floor instructor course from gold gym and I am currently working in Gold’s Gym. I am extremely grateful to my wife for always supporting me. My wife too had to leave her studies midway because of me, but since now I have realised the importance of studies, I have encouraged her to complete her studies. This year I have also thought of pursuing ACSM course so that I can get a salary hike.

Seedha bolunga — ye sab ek hi level pe nahi hain.

LPU aur CU numbers mein strong hain, but mass recruitment bahut zyada hoti hai. Premium packages sirf top 2-3% ko milte hain. Aur dono Punjab mein hain — NCR ke students ke liye relocation ka extra jhanjhat.
