Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology Campus

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology college has its own health centre which provides medical facilities to students and faculty members.

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology College has an excellent infrastructure with a green campus, which is spread over an area of 500 acres. The campus also has a lot of animals like blue bulls, monkeys, rabbits, birds, etc. The main blocks of the campus are the administrative block, Computer Science block, Mechanical block, Food technology block, Electrical Block, Family residential area, Faculty residence, etc. Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology campus is eco-friendly as it has huge numbers of trees planted all around and has solar panels on the roof areas. The main blocks are as follows:

1. Administrative Block

It is the main block also known as the admin block, situated about 900m from the main entrance gate and 1400m from the Longowal gate. It is like the heart of this college as all the official work is executed in this building. It includes the registrar's office, directors’ office and xerox shop.

2. Mechanical Block

This block is situated near the food block and just behind the chemical block. It includes departmental labs of Mechanical Engineering such as SOM lab, FM lab, TOM lab, IC engine lab, CAD-CAM lab, SOM lab, Testing lab, Refrigeration and air-conditioning lab, TOM lab, Welding Lab, Workshop area, Testing Lab, etc. Classes for BTech and MTech students of the Mechanical Engineering department are held in this block.

3. CS Block

This block is situated at the end of the campus area near the pond. This building is home to Computer Science and Information Technology students at both UG and PG levels. This block consists of different labs such as Data Structure lab, Web Development Lab, Computer Network Lab, OS lab, Relational Database Lab, Computer Centres, etc.

4. Food Technology Block 

This block is one of the oldest ones on the campus situated near the Mechanical block. It includes various well-structured and equipped labs such as a Testing lab, Food Safety lab, etc. for PG and UG students in the Food Technology Department. This block is just 700m from the main gate and around 200m from the BH-10 hostel.

5. Hostels

The campus has its own on-campus separate hostels for boys and girls. There are 10 boys' hostels and 5 girls' hostels. All girls' hostels are situated in one area near the main gate of the college. Boys' hostels are situated near the 2nd gate (Longowal Gate) and hostel number BH-10 (newly built hostel) is situated far away from all these 9 hostels near the Electrical Engineering Block. All hostels have their own canteen and dining area. BH- 10 hostel has only single-seater rooms and is only allotted to PG and PhD students. Hostel rooms are spacious and well-furnished with furniture, almirahs, beds, curtains, fans, etc. Each hostel has its own separate mess facility, canteen and utility shop for daily needs. All hostels have their own Wi-Fi connections but the speed is average.

6. Library

The college library consists of a book bank, Central Library and Digital Library. All services of libraries are accessible to all PG and UG students till midnight. The Central Library is the main library that consists of a separate reading area, study area, computer centres, etc. The library is well-stocked with various technical textbooks, ebooks, journals, research papers, etc.

7. Health Centre 

The college has its own health centre which provides medical facilities to students and faculty members. It is situated near the main gate and is open 24*7. For emergency cases, an ambulance is also available round the clock inside the campus. 

8. Others

The college has a football ground, cricket ground, kabaddi ground, kho-kho ground, badminton court, basketball court, stadium, swimming pool, race-track, etc. and for indoor games table tennis room, chess room, tv room, and carrom room, etc.

Bus stand

The college has its own bus stand inside the campus at different locations. A total of 5 bus stands are available for transportation. Various buses are available at fixed timings for different locations in the city.
