Priya says that one needs to have a minimum pointer (CGPA) of 6.9 to get internship opportunities, better if the CGPA is above 7. The said CGPA needs to be maintained throughout the 4 years of study.

Our college has the best placement cell and a well-organized infrastructure along with the best of faculty members. We are provided with various tips and suggestions regarding internships. As a matter of fact, marks play an important role in order to get good internship opportunities. In our college two groups are made according to the students’ academic performances - one is project-based and the other one is internship-based.

The group belonging to the project sector has to present themselves through certain projects and has to explain the project or present it in the interview. They have to give every examination undertaken by the college, either it is UT or ISE (In Semester Examination) or ESE (End Semester Examination) whereas students in the internship sector are offered the chance to intern in any company or PSU for 6 months or so, related to his/her field of study. During this time, the student is not required to give any exam’s undertaking to the college.

One should have a minimum pointer (CGPA) of 6.9 to get internship opportunities, it is even better if the CGPA is above 7. The above-said CGPA needs to be maintained throughout the 4 years of study. The student should be well versed with the language skills. Fluency in English is necessary nowadays.

There are direct job opportunities too in companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, InfoTech, Emtech, etc. through their examination which is conducted every year throughout the country. Students could also appear for these exams rather than taking up internships. The examination consists of 3 levels, namely aptitude test (online objective oriented), written and a final interview. These levels are not at all easy to crack. Confidence level is also one of the parameters that is tested in these exams.

The placement cell of our college plays an important role in facilitating the placement opportunities and it is well managed. Near about 95% of the students got placed with good packages from CSE and IT branches. The lowest package offered was 2.5 LPA and the highest went up to 12 LPA. There were also a few students who moved on from RIT to the IITs and thereafter got placed with high packages.
