JEE Main Correction Window 2026: NTA has closed the JEE Main 2026 form correction facility for session 2 candidates. The form correction window was open from February 27 to 28. The JEE Main Form correction 2026 link was available at jeemain.nta.nic.in and also on this page below. Candidates could change/modify details in the filled JEE Main application form 2026 by logging in to the website using their application number and password.

During the JEE Main 2026 application correction facility, various information filled in by the candidates in the form could be modified. What Details Can Be Changed During Correction Facility?

Check what details can be changed in sthe ubmitted application form of JEE Main 2026:

Existing candidates, i.e. candidates who are already registered during the registration of JEE Mains Session 1 and who have also applied for Session 2, can edit the details below:

  • Medium of the Question Paper
  • State Code of Eligibility
  • Examination Cities as per the available options
  • Educational qualification details (Class 10th and Class 12h)

  • Fee Payment (if applicable)

JEE Main Form Correction window 2026 - How to Change Details

To use JEE Mains correction in application form 2026, follow the steps given here

  • Open JEE Main official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • On the home page click on the link for "Correction Window for JEE(Main)-2026 Session-1".
  • Click on "Login" link.
  • Enter your application number and password.
  • Under the login, click on "correction in application form"
  • Read all important instructions and verify the OTP sent to the registered mobile number.
  • Make the required corrections and click on submit button. After correction, revised information will be displayed on the Confirmation Page only after final application form submission and fee payment (if applicable).
  • Candidates must take a printout of the revised Confirmation Page for future reference.

JEE Main Application Form Correction Important Points

JEE Main form correction facility is a one-time facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardship to them. The candidates are advised to do the correction very carefully, as no second opportunity for correction will be given to the candidates. NTA may send email/messages to candidates for JEE Main Form Correction 2026 in case any information filled by candidates is suspicious. 

JEE Main Correction Window 2026 Fees For Making Changes

The following details that will need a fee for correction in the JEE Main 2026 form are:

  2. Exam city (addition of any foreign city)

NTA has conducted the JEE Main 2026 January session exam for BE/BTech candidates successfully across multiple cities in India and abroad. The exam was held on January 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 and on each day, there were 2 shifts. A total of 10 shifts were held for Paper 1. The the toughest shift of the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam was January 23, shift 2. Also, some candidates found the JEE Main 22 Jan shift 2 exam the hardest one. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam was held in 10 shifts. To overcome the difficulty level differences, NTA will normalise the score of the candidates.

DIT University BTech admissions are not possible without the JEE Main scores. DIT Institute Dehradun admission to courses other than the BTech is based on merit & entrance test scores. The accepted entrance exams are MAT, XAT,  CAT, CMAT,  UKSEE, etc.

If a question is dropped in the JEE Main exam, then the candidates of the shift from which the question is dropped will get bonus marks. It does not matter if you attempted the question or not. If a question from your shift is dropped then you will be eligible for +4 bonus marks.
